Woodland Hills Cottage

Nuestra Casa de Huéspedes está ubicada al sur del Woodland Hills Country Club, en un vecindario tranquilo y seguro que se siente como un mundo alejado de la ajetreada vida urbana, pero en realidad está a solo minutos de tiendas, restaurantes y lugares de entretenimiento. Este vecindario ha atraído a conocidos artistas de la industria del cine y la música desde principios de la década de 1920 y esta propiedad fue propiedad de "Marilyn Monroe" de las películas mudas, Clara Bow.

Recientemente renovada, la cómoda casa de campo de 500 pies cuadrados ofrece un travertino italiano en el baño, un lujoso sofá cama doble natural y una cama tamaño king. Decoración acogedora, cocina completa, patio privado o terraza, DSL inalámbrico. YouTube TV, HBO o Cinemax, Amazone Prime Movies y Netflix incluidos. Ants

Property was as described; however we noticed ants upon arrival in the bathroom. We contacted owner who immediately brought some traps. Then on the morning of our departure the ants were all over the kitchen. No open food was left out. Drowned as many as I could in the sink but they were everywhere!

Lovely property

This was a lovely property. We were delayed flight wise and got in late at night and it was a little difficult to find the entrance but other than that it was great. The pool was pristine and we used it often. Had little nieces visit and swim and it was wonderful. Could have used more towels and such as we were there for 10 days but I am sure if we asked they would have provided more supplies but we didn’t want to bother the owners. Washing machine available. Would stay again. Very comfortable in a beautiful area. Just lovely.

Great location! Communication was terrific The Listing info, instructions, cottage amenities and interior were all were excellent! Sunday and Lars were very very accommodating! Will definitely book again when in town again! Thank you again Sunday and Lars!

Great place!

We had an excellent time! It was nice to have the kitchen, outdoor grill and deck, and living room. The owners were great -- even met us on the road so we could find their place (the place was a bit difficult to find, especially at first in the dark). The property was lovely, and the area was a cute area.

Great little cottage!!

We really enjoyed our stay! The cottage has its own deck with a gorgeous view! The home is located in a great neighborhood and within walking distance to hiking trails. The kitchen is well stocked and great for cooking your own meals as well as barbecuing. And the pool and spa are awesome!! Great stay!!

Wonderful spot!

I can't say enough about this place. Incredibly clean and comfortable. Worked for much of my time here and the internet was fast and reliable. The private deck was huge and the hot tub hit the spot on a cool evening! Loved this place and hope to come back.

Great location

My sister-in-law and I stayed here for a long weekend while visiting my daughter. The place was very quaint It's my second time staying here. The location is wonderful and very convenient. The owners, Lars and Sunday, are very nice and friendly.

Great location

The property was smaller than expected but newer floors, Kitchen and bathroom were clean and served our purpose. Sunday and Lars were fantastic and made our stay very comfortable!

A lovely stay in Woodland Hills

Stayed here to visit with family nearby in November and it was lovely! Very clean and well-kept. Lots of thoughtful touches like a space heater, shower that converts to a steam sauna, (sometimes when cool enough) salt water pool, and a hot tub that could be heated as needed. The owners were very responsive and available during our stay. Cute, quiet neighborhood in the hills with some hiking trails in walking distance. Feels like being in Topanga Canyon. Love the spacious deck with a great view of the valley. The king bed is comfy for a rental (I always want a firmer mattress, but that's me!) Lots of closet space and drawers to put clothes and items in so you don't have to rummage around in a suitcase to find things. It's definitely on the smaller side, and the kitchen layout is a little funky, which isn't shown in the photos. It's challenging for more than 1 person to be working in the kitchen at a time. There's a breakfast nook with a table and 4 chairs opposite the fridge, and the wall of the bathroom is opposite the counter making the space tight. Closest parking is on a steep, unpaved, somewhat slippery road. Our car doesn't have all-wheel drive and it spun out a few times trying to back out, which was a little stressy until we got the hang of it. We also had a couple of older folks come to visit and walking down the road to get to our place was a little dicey for them. If the road were paved, it would make things easier! One very nice addition would be dimmer switches on the lights in the living room and kitchen (or lamps like the ones in the bedroom) for a cozier vibe at night. Overall a great place to stay in the valley! We'll definitely be back.

Small cottage but good use of space--nice 10 days in California

Well equipped kitchen. Very tight eating area in kitchen. King bed was very comfortable. Lots of storage for clothing. Large screen TV in living room with two couches. Lots of steps and uneven terrain-very bad for senior citizens. Pool was lovely but very cold. Hot tub was very nice. Pool deck had nice furniture but the 3 chaises were not in good shape. The house deck was large and lovely and nicely furnished. We had a number of delightful meals out there. The owners were available and very helpful. Property is adjacent to a huge deep ravine.

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay, quaint and homey feel about it. Great location, markets are within a few miles. The place is very quiet, lovely sleeping bed. I will look to stay here again when I come to LA for a visit!

Lovely location

My husband and I loved our stay at Paradise Cottage. Everything is as advertised, very clean with all amenities. Sunday and Lars are the perfect hosts; friendly and attentive without making their presence obvious. After a long day exploring and sightseeing the pool was wonderful to come home to. I especially loved the spa and steam shower, absolutely wonderful after long hikes. We loved our stay and hope to return to the cottage again.

Convenient location with great outdoor space

Two friends and I stayed at the property for a week and both the location and space were perfect for our needs. The cottage was about a 40 minute drive to anywhere that we were interested in visiting (e.g., Malibu, Santa Monica, Hollywood), which made it a central location to stay. The space itself had everything we needed - the kitchen had sufficient utensils and cookware to make our meals, the private deck provided great extra space to enjoy the outdoors, and the pool and hot tub were clean and well maintained. The hosts were very responsive and were quick answer any questions that we had. I highly recommend the cottage to anyone who is looking for a quiet, convenient, and well maintained place to stay in the area!

Our long weekend in the valley

We came for a long weekend for my USC immersion. We used to live in the valley and have friends and family that live there, so we were able to have them stop by and visit us. it was a nice place to call home base while in town.

Cozy, quiet cottage feels like a home away from home.

Sunday and Lars clearly put a lot of thought into this home as you have everything you need. Amenities were provided including pool towels. It was great to have a pool and hot tub to ourselves. The location was nice near trails and parks, plenty of places to eat (within driving distance) and close enough to the beach. The only consideration I would mention is that a person with any walking disability would have trouble walking down /up a steep gravel incline to get into the property.

Perfect spot for reunion of friends

The location was excellent. The doors never locked but we never felt unsafe. The pool and amenities were excellent. Central to everything we wanted to do. AC ran beautifully. Would stay here again when in the area

My husband and I loved our stay. We did not want to stay in LA direct so woodland hills was perfect. The owners was super nice and responsive. Everything was there was needed including soap and shampoo, in fact if the airlines lost your luggage you would have everything you need except clothes. The space was great super quiet at night. Could not have had a better stay. Thank you so much!

Family of four vaca

We had a nice time staying at the cottage. The kids enjoyed the pool and the cottage has a huge deck. King bed was comfortable. We could have used a bit more room in the cottage for the 4 of us but much better than a hotel! Husband loved the steam shower!

My wife actually spent her teenage years on this amazing property and when it became available in 1997, we just had to buy this beautiful home. We love the city, but don't really like living 'in it', so this was a natural choice, because it feels and sounds like it is many miles from all the hustle and bustle of a big city, but is in fact only minutes from everything we love. Good restaurants, amazing grocery stores like Whole Foods and Henry's as well as all the L.A. attractions that brings visitors to us from all over the world. We have been blessed with visitors that like to come back and refer their friends from all over the world; Asia, South America, Europe and of course all over the US. We like to provide a home away from home, with accommodations and a property that spoils our guests, young and old, with an experience well worth remembering.
We hope to be able to welcome you to one of our two cottages with things that one needs when on vacation and little treats that we wished we would find whenever we travel and stay in vacation rentals. Our goal is to make this a comfortable and exciting stay for you.
