Tranquil getaway

House was clean with some old charm and modern upgrades.Deck and hot tub were great.Great views and very tranquil.Spacious enough for 4 teens,2 large dogs and 2 adults.You can cook in grill undercover from rain on deck.Had my morning coffee on deck with a great view of the mountains in total peace and quiet. Loved it!

Gorgeous views!

The views were spectacular! Our family enjoyed the pool and hot tub. The condition of the house needs some attention, bees that spoiled our outside time and cleaning standards not quite up to par. The hiking in the area was fun. People were friendly and owner provided great ideas on what to do in the area. Even the cleaning staff helped us with recommendations on things to do. Certainly the property has wonderful views, beautiful sunrises and great setup with the pool and hot tub.

What views! Amazing secluded getaway.

My partner and I had an incredible stay here. Words cannot do justice to the views from the porch and hottub. The sky is wide open and great for stargazing at night, and the views at sunrise and sunset are amazing. The house was cozy and very clean and we had absolutely everything we needed. We loved using the fireplace and the grill every night. Kevin made the check in and check out process very easy, gave us great hiking suggestions for the area, and made us feel right at home. We would love to come back!

Amazing Home!

The house was fantastic, plenty of space for 12 people and 3 dogs. The hot tub was great. It was a fully stocked home for cooking. It was a quick drive up to Gore Mountain for skiing. We got stuck in the driveway because of a big snow, but the owner spent time with us and got us sand to get our car going again. Overall a great experience and would recommend!

Summer getaway

This is the place to be if you like peace, tranquility and beautiful scenery. The pool is refreshing and the hot tub is glorious on both cool and warm evenings. Kevin, the property owner, is extremely hospitable and available to answer any questions. He is eager to make your stay pleasant and satisfying. I would recommend this property for a wonderful getaway from the noise, pollution, and day to day struggles. Many thanks to Kevin and his crew.

Fantastic Ski House

If you are looking for a place to stay to ski at Gore Mountain, this is the place. The drive to the mountain was super easy and is only 18 minutes away. The house itself is a bit dated but charming. The house has everything you need in it. towels, toilet paper, blankets, etc. The doors are solid wood with latches instead of door knobs. The fireplace was great to sit in front of after a hard day at the mountain and the hot tub was amazing for the sore muscles. The only complaint I had was the mattresses were tough. The one on the first floor was very hard and I had difficulty sleeping on it. When you arrive you have to put the sheets on the bed yourself. I didn't realize that until it was time to go to sleep so just be aware. Other than that, the owner, Kevin was fantastic. He was very responsive and kept checking to see if everything was ok. When I asked for for a dining suggestion he got right back to me. Also when we left we forgot a few small items and he mailed them back the same day. I would definitely stay here again.

We had a great time!! Free ski pass is for real...

Our entire family very much enjoyed the stay!! Highly reccommend staying here if you are considering a ski trip to Gore Mountain! Few things I want to note, hoping it will be helpful for others who are considering staying here during skiing season. We highly recommend staying here for following reasons: 1. Free ski passes - As the owner Kevin states in the description, we got 6 free adult day passes during our 3 night stay (close to $500 value!!). 2. Nice and quiet - The house sits in a secluded area, where there is no distraction from others. Kids got a blast out of the outside hot tub, at nights not having to worry about being seen by neighbors. 3. Spacious and clean - I love the openess of the living/dining/kitchen area, very spacious. 5 of us plus our dog mostly spent our time in the dining/kitchen area when we were home. It was great to share same atmosphere, yet not have to feel cramped in a small area. The house was very clean when we arrived, temperature set at a very comfortable level and nice tune of music (radio) on, too! 4. Owner is very caring - Kevin made sure our stay was pleasent from the beginning to the end. He helped us find good restaurants during our stay (our favorite was the Basil & Wick's). He also brought in a new TV for the kids, who wanted extra TV to connect their gaming console to!! Thanks Kevin, we really enjoyed the stay! I will come back when we come to Gore next time!

Great View

Really enjoyed the beautiful property and large kitchen and living room area. The views are great, very close to Gore, can see Gore from the porch. The hot tub was great. However, the rental price is rather high and the listing does not really reflect the house. the house is really a three bedroom rental, with one bedroom on the first floor with a queen bed and bunk. A futon is located outside this bedroom in a living room area. The listing indicates that this room is bedroom, it really is not because everyone has to walk through it to access bedrooms and bathroom and rear door to porch. a bathroom and access to the stairs is obtained through this living room. The second floor has a bedroom that mirrors the bedbroom on the first floor. The third bedroom in the listing is two rooms separated by a curtain. The listing indicates that this is two bedrooms, but it really is not because to get to second room, you must pass through the first room, so the two rooms are not private. I was hoping to have at least 4 private bedrooms. There were only 8 coffee cups and the rental is advertised as being capable of 22 persons. There were also limited glasses and the refigerator drinking water filter needed to be changed. I did not see any smoke alarmThe grills really need a cleaning. Access to the property is via a dirt sand road that is rather steep. I like rusted places and big properties so I enjoyed my stay and Gore was super close. However, I think the rental is overpriced.

A great stay at a great price with a great host!

Kevin, the host, is wonderful and we really enjoyed our stay! The house is isolated and peaceful, with great views. The driveway is a bit steep and some smaller cars had a difficult time climbing it on the snow and ice. However, Keven was there when people arrived to help them and he put down more sand. Before arriving and throughout our stay, he was very responsive, attentive and kind. Upon arriving, we found the home very clean and there were more than enough towels and toiletries for everyone. This would be a great place for one or two large families, especially with kids. Each bedroom has multiple beds in it except the room downstairs with one single futon in it. Two of the bedrooms can only be accessed by passing through another bedroom. This would work great for families with small children who would like a separate room but still need to be close to their parents. The living room and connected kitchen and dining area make up one big room with a very comfy, big sectional sleeper-sofa. Twelve adults were able to fit in the living room sitting on the sofa and pulling up a few chairs to watch TV and play games. The fireplace in there is wonderful! It was nice to have the kitchen and dining area be in the same space so no one missed out when cooking or eating. The kitchen is equipped with plenty of flatware and dishes and there’s even a crock pot. The deck is large and the hot tub – perfect! There is even a grill outside. The home is very comfy and what it may lack in modern design it more than makes up for in other areas like the open floor-plan in the living room/kitchen/dining area, a quiet location and its close proximity to Gore Mountain Ski Resort (appx 9.2 miles).

Awesome Scenic Escape!

The house was perfect for my birthday weekend with 12 other adults in attendance. Everyone had enough space and the kitchen was fully stocked. The views from the deck/hot tub are absolutely amazing! Even our dogs didn’t want to leave.

Highly recommended!

We had a great time! Beautiful sunrises and stunning views of stars at night from the hot tub. Clean, plenty of rooms and beds, with a full kitchen. There's an above ground pool to cool off on hot days, though probably best at the height of summer. Mobile phone service is spotty up here; similarly, internet is via satellite, though was good enough for looking up details for our next excursion. About half an hour from Lake George. If you're looking for solid gold couches and automatic doors, this is not the place for you -- some furniture is old and every single door squeaks -- though if you're looking for a perfect place to spend time together with family and friends, to use as a base of operations, to have a fire and s'mores at night, and to lay your head to rest, and more ... you'll be absolutely delighted with this stay!

Ultimate Freedom!

Such a beautiful location with an incredible mountain view and apple trees on the property. Stars were incredible. We were excited that the pool was still open for our trip but unfortunately it was a bit too chilly to use. We definitely made use of the fire pit and hot tub. Kevin even had the fire pit all set up for us when we arrived. Nice big kitchen with basic supplies for cooking (utensils, pots, pans, oil, spices etc), and a grocery store about 15 min drive away. Host was very attentive to any questions we had but still gave us lots of privacy. Lots of freedom and flexibility at this location, but still treat it as if it were your own home! Each room had multiple beds so it was fantastic for a group trip, but maybe not necessary for groups that are each looking for their own room (although that would still work as well).

Excellent Stay!

We absolutely loved Kevin's place! It was my first time renting a home but the instant booking was nice and easy. I texted Kevin with some questions beforehand and he quickly responded. When we arrived the house was clean, hot tub was ready, but the most impressive thing is the view of the mountains. My family really enjoyed the pool. It was also great not to have any neighbors to complain about our loud music lol. Kevin called to check in on us and make sure we had everything we needed which was very nice. The kitchen and bathrooms are well stocked and he provides clean linens too. Kevin told us about some fun activities we could do near by but we just relaxed at the house and had a great time. My family didn't want to leave so needless to say I would definitely recommend staying here.

Great site for a family reunion

Between the pool, hot tub and firepit, this place was a great place to stay for 15 people and a german shepherd. Kevin was very attentive, responsive and helpful. Everything was very clean and we appreciated having two gas grills for cooking big meals! We learned that many roads in the area are gravel, which we weren't used to, but we were able to get to the things we wanted to do-- fishing at Garnet Lake, hiking up Crane Mtn, visiting the Natural Stone Bridge and caves, etc. Thank you!!

The place was absolutely amazing and with an incredible view! The owner Kevin is a great man that came to meet us as soon as we checked in. Perfect location for a quiet getaway

My husband and I rented this space for a long weekend during peak foliage season. The home itself is charming and clean. The rustic country decor along with the wood burning fireplace created such a warm and cozy ambiance. Our host Kevin was kind and attentive, and even checked in with us a few times just to make sure we had everything we needed. The property is very secluded and tranquil. We spent our mornings lazily sipping coffee on the sunny porch while taking in the stunning mountain views, our afternoons exploring the nearby trail systems, and our evenings admiring beautiful sunsets over the mountains while soaking in the hot tub. The location was also prime for wildlife viewing. Deer came through the property each evening to graze on fallen apples from the trees that surround the property. Our entire stay was easy, refreshing and peaceful. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Kevin's home and will definitely return in the future for a longer visit.

Fantastic stay!

Kevin’s property is beautiful, a high quality panoramic view of the Adirondacks accompanying the luxuries (pool, hot tubs fire pit) on site made for a consistently breathtaking weekend. His home is lovely. Comfortable, spacious, clean, well maintained, and contained everything we needed to ensure a great time for all. Kevin was a fantastic host. He made sure everything was in order upon check in, and checked in once each day via text to make sure there was nothing we needed. Very kind and very much appreciated. I had several questions in the months leading up to our stay, and Kevin was quick in responding and answered every question I sent. Overall if I could give the experience of working with Kevin and staying in his home a higher rating than 5/5 I absolutely would. I already have the link to his home saved, should we need to book a getaway again.
