La hermosa costa arenosa es perfecta para que los niños jueguen mientras disfrutas del sol mientras estás sentado en la gran terraza con vista al lago. Esta casa completamente renovada de 1500 pies cuadrados en el lago tiene todo lo necesario para unas vacaciones perfectas en cualquier época del año.

La casa cuenta con 3 dormitorios, 2 baños completos, 2 habitaciones familiares, cocina de concepto abierto, terraza grande, patio grande, parrilla, pozo de fuego, muelle y gran costa privada. La cocina está muy bien equipada para todas sus necesidades culinarias, hasta las especias. Hay mucho que hacer dentro: internet, TV, juegos de mesa, películas. La casa está amueblada con todo lo que necesita, ¡solo traiga sus cañas de pescar!

El lago Wissota está convenientemente ubicado a solo una hora y media al este de las ciudades gemelas. La casa se encuentra a poca distancia de una playa pública y tres restaurantes. Si pescas, este es el lugar para ti. El lago tiene almizcle, panfish, lobina negra, lobina negra, lucio, walleye, esturión y bagre. Es un lago tranquilo durante la semana y uno activo los fines de semana. Hay 5 restaurantes / bares frente al mar en el lago que puede ir en bote hasta. Si desea un día libre en el lago, haga un recorrido por la histórica Leinenkugel Brewery o visite el Irvine Park Zoo. Ambos están a solo 10 minutos del lago. No olvides tus palos de golf y bicicleta. Hay un campo de golf público en el lago y la zona cuenta con excelentes senderos para bicicletas. Este es también el refugio de invierno perfecto para los amantes de los deportes de invierno: pesca en el hielo, motos de nieve, patinaje sobre hielo y esquí de fondo.

Beautiful Lake Stay

We had a great stay at this location! Beds were comfortable and having access to the kayaks, Maui mat, and paddle boards was awesome. The house is a bit musty if you are sensitive to smells. Great location for activities in Chippewa Falls, Big Falls County Park, and Lake Wissota. We enjoyed our stay!

The place was fairly clean and the dishes were all nice and clean. The hosts did a good job working with us and gave us a nice discount because of booking issues we had last year. The view from the deck is great and the lake is inviting. On the negative side there are a number of things that need to be updated and just general upkeep and maintenance. No ice maker, no Keurig, and a very old grill were disappointing. We had to clean the deck, chairs, and table off before we could use them. We enjoyed our time there overall but it definitely needs some improvements.

Clean, spacious and beautiful!

This was the perfect lake house! There was more than enough room for my family of 8 to sleep and play (and even enough space to get away from eachother 😅) and it was perfect to accommodate our visiting family members who come over to visit and play in the lake. The home was clean and had everything we needed. Really nice place to stay!

Relaxing Getaway

This house provided the quiet relaxing week we were seeking. Beautiful setting on the lake, and everything we needed was provided. We enjoyed kayaking and we also enjoyed our dinners at Chippewa Falls restaurants, browsing the shops, a tour of the Leinenkugel Brewery, and hiking at Lake Wissota State Park.

Beautiful view and clean property

Had a great stay! The property worked great for our group of 6. The kids enjoyed the bunk room and we all enjoyed the view of the lake. Was even able to walk down the road to the supper club that we would highly recommend. Would be fun to come bank again in warm weather but tons to do in the area.

Fun Lake Getaway!

Our family of 6 enjoyed our stay here. We were pleasantly surprised they had 2 paddle boards as well as the 2 kayaks and lily pad listed. We spent a lot of time in the water - great water temperature in July. Appreciated the sand bottom of the lake (the water was a little green but we still had fun). There was much to do around the area as well, and plenty of space inside to relax on the couches and enjoy a show together. Would stay here again for sure :)

Lake house

Very nice place to stay-better for Summer than Fall. They have lake toys but the weather wasn’t the best to use them. It was very clean. The basement had a musty odor but we didn’t need to use the bed done there.

You will not be disappointed !

We spent a week in July 2023- and it was wonderful. The house was beautiful, very clean and comfortable. We brought our groceries- toiletries, and laundry detergent. Everything else was there! The neighbors are lovely- the neighbor quiet. We walked to restaurants- the beach is right across the road. The owners are kind and communication is no problem. Lake Wisotta wonderful family friendly vacation spot. And if your looking to rent a pontoon- check out Lake Wisotta Lodge!

Nice Secluded Getaway

Overall this was a very nice lake house to stay at. It was nice and secluded and had easy access to the lake to be able to kayak, use the swim pad and fish off the dock. The home was spacious for our family of 4 to use. However there was a picture on the listing that showed a beach to use but we didn't see this beach at the property or across the street at the public beach. So we were a little confused of why that picture was still included in the listing. Also, there was an excessive amount of bugs/insects/ticks that were in the house that we had to get rid of on a daily basis. In the end, we did have an enjoyable week away at the lake.

Excellent Communication

Any concerns (and there were few!) or questions and the owner was back to us within the hour. Exceedingly prompt! The owner was extremely gracious and helpful. One drawback was that I envisioned using the two kayaks but it was not mentioned that you had to carry them down a flight of stairs to the lake, and then back up again, which was more than what I wanted to do, so the kayaks went unused. There was a lovely deck however, overlooking the lake, and with great weather, we spent a lot of time out there.

centrally located for young explorer adventures

Waterfront property. Lake Wissota was nice and everyone went swimming, despite the cooling weather. An affordable vacation at a good VRBO in a central location near restaurants and beaches. This is not located out in the quiet countryside, but we knew to expect that from the webpage. The house felt welcoming and clean, and the hosts were highly responsive and helpful. Plenty of room for 3 adults and 3 kids. Comfy beds. The small bunk inset into the wall needs a guard rail, so the kids didn’t use it for sleeping but we put their suitcase on it. The house is on Lake Wissota. Pretty views of water. However, we didn't realize it would be quite such a steep path to dock, unless you’re nimble and young, and the dock itself felt a little shaky, as if not well anchored, so we didn’t use it much, but it is a nice dock. The public beach — just a short stroll down the street — served the purpose for swimming, fishing, building sand castles and digging. The kids loved exploring the area, which is central to various interesting places. In the Rice Lake / river area they saw small-mouth bass and caught crawdads/ crayfish and cooked them at home. They explored and found tree toads and a huge chicken of the woods mushroom. Went to petting zoo in Chetek, called Funny Farm. Went to big zoo in Chippewa Falls, Irvine Park. Went to local dam. Toured the Wausau Mine Company. Enjoyed outings locally to Olsens’ Ice Cream, which was “really good!” Thank you! A good time was had by all.

Gorgeous view from deck

The home was as stated in listing. There were plenty of kitchen supplies, pots, pans, paper products, and spices. The only thing I'd suggest is providing shower soap, shampoo and conditioner. Our time there was spent with two children and their families - one family for the first 3 days and then the other family for the last 3 days. The arrangement of the bedrooms and baths worked out great. The canoes were a big hit with kids and grandchildren. I'd recommend this place to my friends.

Relaxing Spring Get-a-Way

We enjoyed our week on a quiet beautiful lake near Chippewa Falls. Our VRBO was comfortable and conveniently located. We enjoyed all of the amenities available. We’ll be back and refer others.

Enjoyable View

The cabin has a great view of the lake along with a nice outdoor deck in which to play cards. The cabin was clean and the owner takes care of the property. I would stay at this property again.

Nice place for family gathering

There were 4 adults in my group and enough space for each of us. The dock was already out so we weren’t able to get out on the water but it looked beautiful and there were several boats out behind the cabin each day so I assume it’s a great fishing location. I threw a few lines in from the shore without any bites. The house was clean- the front is very deceiving when you pull up but you will be pleasantly surprised at the thoughtful remodeling of the house when you walk in. Not much privacy, which is to be expected in this area when you are right on the lake. The neighbors dogs barked at us when we would come and go but they seemed friendly. The neighbors cat would come to the deck each day and meow for some attention. It seemed friendly as well. Beds and furniture were comfortable. Kitchen had everything we needed to prepare our family dinners.

Great stay!

Our main reason for staying at this location was for a shortened fall fishing trip at a different lake close to my son's college. Cabin was great, updated and as described. The location is very close to store, gas station and restaurants. Highly recommend!

We are an active family of five that loves adventure! We've spent years enjoying the lakes of Wisconsin and Minnesota at our families' cabins and wanted to be able to enjoy the lake life closer to home. We have spent the last year completely renovating this 1950's cabin into our dream get-away. But, since we are crazy busy, we can't always get there as much as we'd like. So, we open it up to you. We know you will enjoy it as much as we do!

So convenient! The location is just minutes from Chippewa Falls and Eau Claire but you feel like you're away from it all. Little Lake Wissota provides the perfect mix of relaxation and activity for our family. We can only relax so long without going stir crazy. Weekdays on the lake are slow and calm... perfect for fishing or water skiing without much boat traffic. Weekends are great for playing on the beaches or island or meeting up with friends at one of the many lakeside restaurants.
