We had a wonderful time together over Christmas, but that was due entirely to our family being together—not the accommodations. Unfortunately, Dan and Melissa Jones came across as uncaring hosts who appeared focused solely on collecting payment, while offering nothing back when issues arose. They were quick to charge but did not offer any accommodation, compensation, or effort to resolve inconveniences such as a broken dishwasher.The cabin itself did not meet basic standards for comfort or hospitality. It is run down and located directly on Highway 160, which results in loud traffic noise at most hours of the day. This was not adequately disclosed and significantly affected our stay.The property was advertised as suitable for groups, but it did not have the amenities to host a group comfortably. The kitchen was poorly equipped, with very few cooking utensils, mismatched forks and plates, and multiple pans that were damaged or unusable. Cleanliness was also an issue, including dirty walls and chipped paint throughout the cabin.Basic household amenities were lacking. Towels and blankets were thin, with only one towel provided per person. There was no laundry detergent, dryer sheets, or basic toiletries such as soap, shampoo, or conditioner.The dishwasher was broken during our stay, and despite notifying the hosts, no attempt was made to fix it or provide an alternative solution.
