Cómoda casa de dos pisos, 980 pies cuadrados, con vista al norte del río Umpqua. Cocina completa con todas las comodidades para crear recuerdos. Property is very pretty, but there were issues

The good: right on the river, easy access yo swimming spot. Picturesque. The bad: owner doesn’t use text or email so we had communication issues changing from 2-5 occupants. Owner came to visit on patio unannounced both nights. I agreed to pay extra the first night when occupancy was questioned and also let him know the toilet chain was broken and we had temporary attached a zip tie. Night 2 as we were getting ready to cook dinner, he reappeared and wanted cash or to write down my cc info for the additional 120. Luckily we had cash because I was not comfortable w anyone writing down my cc info. The deck needs repairs and was a bit of a hazard. We had to deal with the broken toilet our entire stay.

Beautiful and Peaceful Location

This is the second time staying at this property and it is so peaceful. It's right on the river and is close to many trails and waterfalls. I highly recommend!

River getaway

Loved the Fir cabin! The view is fabulous and there is easy access to the water for swimming. The cabin is cozy and has all of the essentials. The beds are very comfortable. We had a very relaxing stay and would love to return next year!

This clean and well equipped home on the river was all we needed as a base camp for Crater Lake and the Redwoods. Thanks Randy! The back deck was fantastic.

rest&relax with beautiful view

Amazing View and Very Clean

This cabin not only has an amazing view, but it was very clean and stocked with everything that you would need during a stay. The owner was very personable and made sure that everything was ready to go before our stay. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to get away.

Hidden gem through the trees

This is a cute little one bedroom one bathroom house hidden from the world. There are three houses on the property and a pretty tight parking spot, but it all works out. The view is awesome and second to none with the ducks floating by on the currents of the river right outside the sliding glass doors of the deck. At the top of the driveway is the local country store with the nicest folks ever and the deli sandwiches are to die for tasty! Up the highway just a bit are lots of short hikes to more amazing waterfall views. It’s extremely quiet and you definitely walk away from the world here.

Amazing Hidden Gem!

River View is an amazing property, tucked under the trees perched above the Umpqua River. This my friends is where the magical nature speaks to your soul! Randy, the property owner, went above and beyond. He had a wealth of knowledge of the area, responded quickly and was a delight to work with. His spirit was magnetic and his enthusiasim to share his love for River View was contagious! Best host hands down that I have ever worked with. The property itself was above my expectations. A fully stocked, CLEAN kitchen, good stocked linens, washer and dryer, WIFI, Roku, bbq.. Every little detail had meaning. The guest comment books spoke volumes of how this home has impacted peoples lives and love for nature! This was our first trip but will not be our last but a first of many more to come!

Waterfall Hiking Retreat

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Maple House after hiking to the many waterfalls in the area. It was a peaceful conclusion to our busy day, the river view is wonderful, and the house/cabin is well equipped and clean. Hope to return in the future!

Fir Cabin: Summer Visit

Our summer visit to the Fir Cabin was fantastic! The cabin is clean and has everything you need including a well stocked kitchen with pots, pans, dishes and utensils. It is a short, steep walk down to the river's edge for fishing or swimming. The deck on this cabin is hands down one of the most outstanding features. It has chairs, a small pub table and a gas barbecue. The entire deck overlooks the river offering opportunities for viewing eagles soaring overhead or fish jumping in the river. You could easily spend your entire vacation just hanging out on the deck. The cabin is right off the road, but down a steep driveway and right on the river, so you don't even notice the road nearby. There is a general store at the top of the driveway that has essentials you may need and even some you don't--like delicious hand-dipped ice cream cones that make a wonderful summer time dessert. Randy is an outstanding host. He was responsive to communication, greeted us when we arrived, and provided suggestions for hikes and nearby attractions. We will most certainly return.

The first thing you will notice when you arrive at your secluded home, is the river. You can throw a stone in the river from the private back deck of each unique homes. When the homes were constructed on the river, they were intentionally situated for maximum privacy and comfort. These homes were designed from day one with the intention of creating lasting memories and experiences for River Vista guests. Our intention was to create a secluded getaway that families can create lasting memories at. At the time we were not aware that it would also become one of the best fishing sites on the North Umpqua, attracting international fishermen and the attention of highly respected fishing magazines. We have fishing regulars from all over the planet, who fly half way round the world to catch winter steelhead and capitalize off of the annual salmon run. If you're looking for a property where there's no "surprises", and where the property was designed for you in mind, nestled right on the river a stones throw away, we welcome you to our beautiful River Vista Vacation Homes.
