This place is amazing. The house itself was clean and comfortable. We were surprised at how well stocked the kitchen was. The views were outstanding and access to the river was fairly easy. The country store above the property was outstanding as well. Super nice people all the way around. Would definitely stay here again.

Fabulous view

House has the most amazing views. Perfect location for hiking all of the waterfalls. We would most definitely stay again!

Beautiful riverfront oasis in the southern Oregon.

We absolutely loved our stay here. The river was divine and so swimmable. We stuffed ourselves with fresh blackberries! And the supply store was a great place to re-stock and grab lunch.

Hiking Paradise

The house and the location was everything we had hoped for on a Christmas holiday. We hiked the North Umpqua Trail and many of the waterfall trails and our dogs had a wonderful time. We will be back.

Relaxing and Rejuvenating

We loved the Madrone Home! The views were breathtaking and the sound of the river was absolutely soothing. A great place to relax and just be. We hiked to Toketee Falls one day and we saw spring Chinook salmon jumping up Deadline Falls. A fabulous long weekend for all four of us!

Beautiful Hideaway!

The view is intoxicating! Full window views from the entire house literally right on the North Umpqua River! Beautiful, well equipped pet friendly cabin! We’ll definitely come here again. Randy, the host, is very welcoming and has a wealth of information about the property and general area which is great for hiking/waterfall viewing/fishing..everything beautiful about the outdoors. Sleeping quarters are upstairs but I have a bum knee due to an accident, so I slept downstairs on the hideabed and woke up each morning to breathtaking views! Love this cabin and we’ll definitely be back!

Quiet Getaway

Lovely experience. The only drawback was regarding the amenities. Our place did not have a washer, dryer, dishwasher, and the a/c was only upstairs. I cooked 2-3x a day on our trip so I was really missing those items! But we still had a wonderful time. The view is spectacular and it was very peaceful. Thank you!!

Relaxing and peaceful

While visiting the property we had multiple communications with the owner. He was always helpful and made sure that we enjoyed our time. The view was gorgeous, the river sounded so peaceful and amazing, and we couldn't ask for a better place to stay.

Amazing Surroundings & Cozy Cottage

Wonderful view of river from everywhere in house & outside deck. Trail right down to river. :) Idleyld Trading Post store was convenient walk from rental. Umpqua River, Forest, & waterfalls are so close and we thank God for the blessed opportunity to experience the area. We will be back!! :) Thank you Randy!!

Beautiful location

The property manager answered the phone every time I called before and during my visit. The location was beautiful and quiet. The interior of the unit could have been a little cleaner with attention to detail but overall it was a wonderful vacation getaway.

River Vista

My husband and I, along with pregnant daughter, son in law and small dog relaxed in the fabulous cabin with a very private deck on the Umpqua. We have been enjoying the Umpqua at least every other year for over 40 years. Randy was very communicative and helpful.

2021 Visit

This is the last in a series of three vacation homes yards from each other inside a mobile home community. The views and breezes across the river were lovely though the conversations, smoking etc of others are quite close by. Sadly it is in a burn zone so all the trails within about an hour's drive, save one short one, were closed when i was there.

What a fantastic time we had here!

My husband and labrador stayed here for several days in a row and it was the perfect home base for all the hiking activities we had planned in the area. Randy was very helpful and knowledgeable about pointing us in the right direction to visit waterfalls, which we thoroughly enjoyed learning about and hiking to. We also drove out to Crater Lake to explore it as well, and the drive between the cabin and Crater Lake was gorgeous! Each night that we returned to the cabin from the day's adventure was such a treat. We really enjoyed being right on the river, exploring the rock formations, and we saw two bald eagles on two separate days fly right over us (one in the morning and one in the evening). We'll definitely be back for another visit because even with several days there, we still have more in the area that we want to explore :-)

Very relaxing

Randy was very helpful pre check in, I didn’t think the listing had too many pictures and I’d say the property is much nicer and more breath taking than the pictures state. Access to the river was fun. We went fishing along the highway and relaxed on the deck. Would definitely come back.

Jaw Dropping Beauty

This property lives up to its promise. Our family of 4 was very comfortable & the house was clean and had everything you need including soft bathrobes. The view is simply amazing and the location is perfect for exploring waterfalls and beauty in the Umpqua National Forest. We will definitely rent this property on our next trip to paradise.
