Excellent

The property was everything advertised and more. The pool had multiple levels to accommodate all ages. The screened porch was a joy to spend time in. The short walk to the beach made beach time convenient.

Perfect Vacation Home

We loved our stay and the home was perfect for extended family of multiple ages. Heated pool was a game changer for our March beach trip.

Great get away!

Nice, quiet neighborhood. Loved the house. Plenty of room and nice fenced in back yard! Will definitely stay there again!

Recommend that they employ a lock box instead of physical keys, expand parking (really can only fit one car in the "two car" driveway, update fence around pool and fix the large pool umbrella to provide some shade. We really liked the pool with it's large shallow end for our toddler. The house was easy to stay in--low maintenance from a renters perspective. Would be interested in renting again in the future.

Nice but Tired

The location of the home and the pool area are wonderful however the house needs updating. It is showing wear and I was happy I had not planned on making meals in the small and dated kitchen.

Managed to get one tv to work with a Hot Spot. Downstairs was very cold and upstairs was warm. Could not close the downstairs vents to force the cold air upstairs as they suggested because the vents were rusted and would not close. Pool, den and screened porch were the best parts of the house. Kitchen was too small.

Reviewer Comments: On the positive side the beds were comfortable the screen porch was delightful there were plenty of beach towels I feel that the kitchen could have been better equipped for cooking and most importantly the roaches returned even after the Exterminator had been there 3 times that was very disconcerting to be killing bugs daily hopefully they can get it under control and a comfortable chair in the living room would have been wonderful.

my review

the house was layed out great but it needs a little updating. the hot tub did not work on the pool. we called the rental office after hours and they promptly returned out call but the hot tub could not be used so this was very disappointing.

Reviewer Comments: The house is bright and filled with light and for the most part it's quite comfortable however it was sparsely equipped in the kitchen there was one small pan and a stock pot nothing in between I had to purchase cloths to do daily cleaning with as well as waste baskets, soap dishes, plastic pitchers, acrylic glasses and there was an infestation of roaches which I was freaking out about until your exterminator after the third time finally eradicated them. he was wonderful! you could use a comfortable chair in the living room; if you have more than 4 people there really isn't any place comfortable to sit and there were no extra blankets and there were days in March that were quite cold. One bedroom had no chest of drawers nor a nightstand nor a lamp or table to read by the location is great we loved the porch and the backyard and Patio.

Such a pleasant experience!

Real Escapes is the friendliest rental agency that I’ve ever worked with. Their office staff is so kind and accommodating. We had to be in town very early for a golf tournament, and they did everything that they could to ensure we could check in early. The property was perfect for us! The kitchen and bathrooms are outdated, but you know this when booking. Aside from that, all furniture and bedding is new and very comfortable. We loved that there were two separate king sized masters. Unfortunately on our last night, one of the king sized beds supports broke, and it appeared they had been previously repaired. The office staff was so kind about the situation, and assured it would be resolved the next day for upcoming guests. The location is great, and we really enjoyed the screen porch. The pool area is the highlight of the property! I will say, I’m not sure if the house next door is a rental or not, but we were outside around 11pm, and didn’t think we were being too loud. We did have a neighbor come over a state that they were trying to sleep and hastily walk away, so just know that if you’re night owls, this could be a problem.

Long weekend on East Beach

Not big enough for laps but great for floating on hot summer days. The screened front porch was great for afternoon cocktails and snacks.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Bella Vita Cottage was close to the beach and located in the quiet East Beach area. It was about a 10 min walk to the beach so renting a golf cart or bringing a beach friendly wagon (loose sand part of the way) is ideal. The house...The pool area was beautiful, the hot tub bubbles turn on in the morning and run for a few hours. We did not pay to get it heated. The pool had different levels of seating so it was very nice and relaxing. Lots of seating around the pool as well.The living room was nice. Lots of seating and comfortable temp even with the glass door.The kitchen was very dirty. Thick dust along the tops of the cabinets, dirty silverware, dirty cups, questionable plastic cutting boards that were melted and lots of gouges... a lot of things out of places, mismatched lids, just a lot of stuff that could not be used. The counters are cracked and there is a lot of food splatters on the blinds above the sink. There were food splatters down the side of the cabinets as well. Food splatters and grime on the walls and pantry. Just didn’t give you a good clean kitchen feel. This was addressed, they offered to come clean it while we were there but didn’t want to leave someone in the house while we were gone with our stuff. Was told they didn’t have time to clean well between flips...and it was quite obvious.The bathroom downstairs was small, no venting so it got a little steamy after a shower. The shower curtain was missing a few hooks and the towels were stained and gross.The bedroom downstairs had a lot of things shoved in odd places, broken outlet covers on the floor of the closet, dirty linens (this was addressed and resolved the same day), flat pillows and dirty yellow stained pillows, no extra cases if you wanted to use extra pillows (this was addressed and handled as well).The blinds in the bathrooms upstairs were broken and people could see in. That was addressed and we were

Reviewer Comments: Positives:* Great location within an easy five minute walk to East Beach, which in my family's opinion, is the best section of beach on SSI.* Plenty of room for three families of six adults and three young children.* Heated pool and large deck area was a hit with kids and adults alike.* The price was right for a house of this size on the prized East Beach section of SSI.* House was clean. Negatives:* One A/C unit for both upstairs and stairs left you freezing downstairs and sweltering upstairs. This needs addressing by the owners/management. * Furniture was 1990's chic but not worn out.* Kitchen was very basic and small.* Bathrooms were small. At the end of day, we got our money's worth.

Very Nice Stay, needs minor upgrades

I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I would say that our visit started out a bit rocky. When we first arrived, we found the front door unlocked, so that was a bit unnerving upon our late night arrival. Once we got inside the house and confirmed it was empty, we found the house to be charming. The house was clean and aside from the pool area, everything was spotless. There was some leftover debris from the recent storm in the patio/pool area. We had a few issues with the quality of household items, such as the blinds in the bathroom and 1st bedroom on the main floor tearing immediately after trying to open them. The property manager had the pool area cleaned and the grass cut about halfway through our stay, which was nice. The beach was about a 10-15 minute walk from the house . The patio area was very cute. We ended up storing our rented bikes in there throughout the stay. One downside to the trip is that one our of rented bikes was stolen off of the porch in the middle of the night, so be sure to lock up your rented bikes.

Great place for family fun

The location on East Beach was perfect, the size of the property was exactly what we needed, and the pool was wonderful. The furnishings were very good, and the beds were VERY comfortable! My daughter had the upstairs master and said that the memory foam topper was excellent! The sofa was also comfortable. The two major things that we did not like: 1. The house had one zone for the a/c, which meant for the 3 bedrooms upstairs to be comfortable, the downstairs had to be freezing. The extra zone for the living room was a help, but most of the downstairs was still too cold most of the time. However, that is much better than being too hot! 2. There was no handrail at the pool for a grandma like me. Fortunately my grandchildren were happy to help me in and out, so we did use the pool! We were surprised that to get to the screen porch you had to go outside. Fortunately, we did not have to use it, because the majority of the time was great weather for beach and swimming.. The vertical blinds in the downstairs bedroom need to be replaced ~ missing panels and not effective in keeping the light out. Some small "would be nice to have" items: Regular toaster, garbage disposal, kitchen scissors, and small chair in the back bedroom upstairs. Overall, we had an excellent stay, and would recommend.
