Great stay in Playa Encanto

This was our first time in Playa Encanto and we loved it! Beautiful home and property. We felt very safe, there is a guard before you enter the community. We made dinner reservations one night for Santo Coyote at the nearby towers, it was excellent! Highly recommend checking out the nearby Oyster Farm, what a unique experience. Enjoyed our daily walks on the beautiful sandy beach. Property manager was very responsive to any questions we had. Would definitely stay here again!

Playa Encanto Beach Vacation

We rented Casa Mermaid for 2 weeks at the end of October. Perfect setting right on the beach. Loved sitting on the porch and watching the tide change. Wonderful bird watching both there and at the nearby estuary. Saw dolphins swimming by almost everyday. Very quiet location; had the beach to ourselves! The only thing I would change is some newer cookware.

Amazing Home

The house was perfect for relaxing and enjoying time with family and friends. The patio is perfect for admiring sunrise and sunsets. Kim the host was very responsive to our needs and gave suggestions to enjoy our time even more.

Long awaited vacation to Puerto Peñasco was great.

Communication with Kim was great. She responded to all of our concerns very quick. The main town is a little far away from the property , but that was exactly what we were looking for. We needed some time away from the crowds and traffic of the big city(Dallas TX) Get all your groceries and ice from the main town as you drive thru it.

Great Time at Casa Mermaids

This home is clean and has a great layout. The beach access is second to none and I loved that there is no hassle to get the keys. Overall was a great stay for our 7th trip to Puerto Penasco. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Beautiful beach front property

The beach is nice, beach views from the 2 main bedrooms and living room are pretty. There were a total of 4 bedrooms, 3 baths on Casa Mermaid. We used the charcoal grill as well, it was hard to find starter logs in any store in the Penasco area. This house is 25 mins away from the city, you do have to drive through some unpaved roads dirt roads to get to the house, but the beach front is worth it and the house is pretty as well. The backyard patio provides plenty of shade and chairs to sit, listening to the gentle waves. Tide changes quite a bit, which is cool to observe, water is very shallow by the beach and nice and warm. It was nice to see pelicans and seagulls hanging at the beach. There are some seaweeds in some areas of the beach / sea (minimal though), but that didn't bother any of us. I was able to walk right over it. Swimming in the warm water was a blast for all of us, including our 11 yr old. Finding the house the first time was a challenge as Google doesn't understand Mexican house addresses. Once we got there, we dropped a Pin on Google Maps, then it was easy to get directions every time using our dropped Pin. The main grocery store is the Bodega Aurrera (next to Sam's Club), but it's limited in what you can get from there. Most of the activities happen in town (Puerto Penasco), we enjoyed walking in the Malecon, parking at the $5 location at the Malecon. Street vendors do constantly ask you to buy their stuff, just keep walking. Plenty of restaurants by the beach, and local souvenir shops at the Malecon. Before leaving, we did get our auto insurance (from AZ to Penasco), had a 25 - 35 minute wait (due to the line of cars) each way at the Border, passports were required to show only when reentering the US again. No paperwork is required for heading to Mexico.

Beautiful and comfortable

Our stay at the Mermaid house was peaceful. The house is beautiful and done in a fun beachy mermaid style. The porch offers plenty of shade. There's so much to do right at the house with the ever-changing beach. Our hosts helped us find our way when we arrived in the dark and could not see street names or house numbers. This was the perfect house for my 3 generation family to rent to enjoy our first time in Mexico.

4 Generations at Puerto Penasco

We enjoyed our stay very much. The house was laid out marvelously with a master suite for my 88 year old mother with shower, a master suite for me and my wife, and two additional bedrooms for my son and his wife and their children. The house is just short steps away from the water and we enjoyed watching the tide go in and out, collecting shells and we had plenty of space for our dog. Great place and would come back if the opportunity presents itself.

Property had no power and water, no generator when power when out for 10 hours. Not for

Ok property but no Provisions… power went out for 10 hrs , only 1 candle in entire house and no working flashlight, no help, no generator : these people live in Mexico , they should know better to have a backup plan if/when power goes out… it’s a 3rd world country, no preparation by the owners whatsoever other than “ I’m sorry”. Not recommend and have asked for a refund to no avail .

Nice place, great beach

This beach house (Casa Mermaid) was easy to find, and is right on the beach. Part of the reason we opted for this house was the beach access for my 18 ft catamaran. The access is in the form of a dirt road between houses a few doors down. While driving is not allowed on the beach in general (which is good) we were able to pull the trailer out onto the beach to unload the boat, and then quickly pulled the truck back out onto the road. The Security guard (who patrols on an ATV) saw that we were just there temporarily and didn't give us any trouble. As for the house, it's a nice welcoming place, and has excellent water pressure and has new ductless AC units throughout. There's a sweet roof deck accessed by stairs on the back porch. The beach is rock-free. Note that the built-in BBQ is charcoal-fired, not gas, so don't forget charcoal. Great overall.

Extended Family Trip

We Loved the Property. The house was clean and everything worked as it should. The Nicest Beach I have had in Rocky Point. We have stayed in both Los Conchas and Playa Encanto and this was the nicest beach so far. Not a single Rock at low tide. We will most definitely be using this property again in the future. Nothing to complain about at all.

Beautiful house on a beautiful beach

We all had such a great time at Casa Mermaids. The house was spacious, clean and cool. The tiki bar mermaid gave all of us a good laugh when we arrived. We had 3 sets of couples, 3 kids and a grandma on this trip and everyone had a great time. The beach is perfect here. Soft sand without rocks. Low tide revealed tons of gorgeous shells and hermit crabs that kept the kiddos excited to explore everyday. Kim was an excellent host and answered all of my questions quickly. Highly recommend you consider this home for your trip. Thank you for your hospitality Kim!

Relaxing

The property worked well for the relaxing stay we hoped for. Right on the water, and comfortable. Other than lots of ants on the patio and mosquitoes in the evening it was perfect.

Best beach in rocky point!

We loved this house for our family. It was clean and super cute inside! We loved the patio and being right next to the beach. Best location in rocky point in my opinion. We never want to stay on another beach again, and would most definitely rent from Kim again. She had great communication with us the entire time and was easy to contact. We loved our stay here!!
