Dear Guest, We are sorry our very high- end property and guest suite didnt meet your High expectations. Yes, as described, just like Many homes on Crystal lake our home is a Shared home where we do reside in the upper portion and the guest suite has its own private quarters down below. This makes it not only more affordable for our guests to share this awesome experience of staying on our beautiful lake in our high end home and because we live here we keep up on our place top notch and make sure it delivers a quality experience, versus homes that are just used simply as rentals. If you wish complete privacy there are homes that are for rent on this lake and they go from $850-$1500 per night and that way you can have the whole home to yourself so perhaps you should look into those options for the future? And as you know the price you paid was far less than that and our location, quality of the home and beach is 2nd to none even though the other private homes are much more expensive. We spared no expense in building out the guest suite downstairs with high end everything in it. Also to mention we do NOT allow anyone who is a smoker or vaper or pets to stay in our property. So many places say no smoking in the house but still allow smokers, we do Not as the smell still sticks to smokers and ends up smelling up the house. So we are Very picky who we allow to stay here and I am quite sure that very few IF any other places follow our same practice of not having any smokers or vapers stay here. So the guests that stay here really appreciate all that we do and provide. Also our house sits in a very unique 1/2 mile section on Crystal lake where the road in front of our house is Only a 1 lane rd with a max speed limit of 25 mph and cars travel very slowly (usually like 15mph) as it is almost like driving on a hiking trail. Most other homes on other parts of the lake are on much busier roads and are traveling up to a dangerous 40-50 MPH that you have to cross to get to the beach. So this is a very rare stretch on this part of the lake that we are located on and all of our guests appreciate this. So i am sorry that for some reason you thought the home was connected to the beach but considering a majority of the homes on the lake do have to cross the road this is as best as one can hope for. Plus we are on the south side of the lake and the water is generally calmer on our side of the lake during the summer as the prevailing winds are from the south and we are protected from them which makes the water calmer than on other parts of the lake. Our beach is literally less than 20 feet from the side where our house sits on. We are sorry if you heard us move a chair and we are very mindful of our guests. If something bothered you we would have appreciated you bringing it to our attention while you were here vs waiting until you leave. We love to share our home and beach with our guests as this lake is truly amazing and we want many people to experience this beautiful area up here as we get too every day and many of our past guests have become our friends. You guys really weren't that friendly and treated us more like a hindrance than a blessing. Had we known you were going to be so "Karen Like" we wouldnt have accepted your reservation in the first place which would have allowed another family to enjoy all that we offer. Our home is newly built, super clean and we take pride in it as we live here also vs just a home that is used as a pure rental, and we make sure it is in the best condition as possible for our guests and we handle any concerns that are brought up as we appreciate knowing if something is not right and we fix it asap. We wish you the very best in your future stays elsewhere and only hope that they meet all your high expectations.

Dear Guest- this property is CLEARLY for non smokers and non vapers. It not only says that in the house rules but I vetted you by the VRBO chat box where I asked you specifically if “everyone in your party is a non smoker and non vaper”. Which even though it’s in my house rules where you have to agree to the house rules prior to booking, i went out of my way to specifically ask you if you were a smoker or vaper and you clearly lied. We ask everyone prior to accepting their booking the same questions as we asked you. I am sorry that you lied and that you are a heavy smoker. All our guests that stay here expect this to be a non smoking place and we will uphold those standards for all guests so that all future guests will get the benefit of a smoke free property. When you called VRBO, they have you on a recorded line where you said you didn’t read the rules and you didn’t know this was a non smoking property. So I am sorry you lied about being a smoker but we will not allow smokers or vapers to stay at our property. You were VERY rude from the beginning to my wife and I am thankful you were only there 20 minutes. I wish you the best, but smokers are most definitely not allowed at our high end house and we will maintain our Non Smoking and Non Vaping policy here with NO exceptions. Take care
