Thank you to the property manager for another wonderful week on Crystal Lake. Love this cottage, it doesn't lack for any "relax at the cottage for a week" amenities, and the walkability to lovely downtown Beulah and the back door being on the rail trail is wonderful. We will be back!

Could not be better. Cottage is clean as a whistle. Everything you could want is provided. The view, in all directions, is beautiful. Host was just a text away. I have been coming to Crystal Lake since the 40's. This is the very best.

Perfect location, beautiful view. Everything provided. Spent 90% of our time on the porch. 600 square feet, but feels very comfy and roomy. We will do everything we can to spend time in this little castle by the sea. Thank you Dan.

Another great week in Beulah

This was our second stay at Dan’s cabin on the south shore of Crystal Lake. The location is right on the water. It’s a lovely, peaceful setting. The cabin itself is very comfortable. It’s clean, well-appointed and has every amenity you can think of. Dan is very responsive. We loved our stay and already booked next year.

Great house! So neat and well stocked, and matched the pictures and description perfectly. We loved the close proximity to the public beach and the main street in Beulah. Host was friendly and communicative, and even left us a couple little welcome gifts. All around excellent experience, and we highly recommend!!

Wonderful Property - Repeat

I wrote a review last year so won't be so lengthy this year (and next year is booked already!). The owners are wonderful people and this property doesn't lack for any conveniences. The owners have done a wonderful job with the compact space, and hanging out on the covered porch all week is wonderful, only a few feet from the Lake. Great fun to walk into Beulah with it's wonderful shops and eating & drinking spots. Much to do in the surrounding area. Highly recommend this property, it's a gem.

Crystal Lake getaway

Loved the cottage! We have a great week at Dan and Janice's property. As others have said, its well stocked. It has everything you can think of and more. My husband loved the shed and wished it was his own. The location is incredible...right on the water and so walkable to town. There is so much to do on Crystal Lake and in the area. We SUPed, hiked Arcadia Bluffs, spent time in Frankfort and at the Beach, went to Gwen Frostic prints, played pickleball, biked the Betsie trail; but also just chilled out at the cottage. It was wonderful.

Great cottage on Crystal Lake

This was our 3rd year staying at this cottage. It is the cleanest place I’ve stayed at. The location is great. Very comfortable. Dan is a great host; checked to make sure all was going well. I recommend this place

Lovely Property and Wonderful Hosts

We have been visiting Crystal Lake for about 50 years and this is a fantastic property. We have stayed in many rentals around the world, and this is probably the best equipped property we have ever stayed in. Nothing is missing, and the property is top notch in every way, beautifully renovated a few years ago. Everything works, great water pressure, laundry equipment, air conditioning run for 30 minutes to take the humidity out of the house after a rain. For the first time ever at a rental, we did not have to purchase any supplies (aside from food, of course a tenant has to buy their own food!). My favorite features were the solid internet, the wraparound porch with plenty of shaded seating, and the proximity to the Lake. The house is so close to the Lake, even inside due to rain, the Lake can still be enjoyed. Having the patio doors open at night was wonderful with the lapping shoreline providing white noise. For most our 50 years we were on the north side of the Lake on Crystal Drive, and one of the first things we noticed was there is zero car noise here (the traffic noise is ever present on the north side). This house is also walkable to the village of Beulah (shops restaurants and more). Our hosts (a local couple) are lovely people. I cannot say enough nice things about this property and we have reserved for next year.

Summer Vacay

Property was exactly as depicted. It was in a great location in Beulah, directly on Crystal lake. Property was super clean, had everything we could possibly need and had a great porch on the lake to have a morning cup of coffee/tea and sit with a cider in the evenings. We have 2 boys - 11 and 12 y/o and the location of the house was central to lots of fun things in the area as well as perfectly situated on the lake. What more could you want? Would definitely rent here again. Thanks for a great vacay!

Great location on Crystal Lake

Close to downtown Beulah, Beulah Beach (best sunsets), the Betsie River Trail, and pickleball courts. Adorable well-kept cottage with a great view of the lake. We enjoy sleeping to the sound of waves close to the bedroom window!

A real Gem!

This little cottage on beautiful Crystal Lake is a real gem. It is well stocked with everything you need, all neatly stored. We spent hours on the deck gazing at the water. Having the Betsy Trail right there was great incentive to get active every day. Hosts were helpful, responsive and friendly. Five stars!

Beulah Beach

Love giving this review because I already have my reservation for next year! Clean, organized, unbelievably well stocked. Great owners, Grear neighbors, and absolutely great town. Location, Well Stocked and Clean

The cottage is just as pictured. Small, but lake front or rather on the lake. Its like sleeping on the dock. Wonderful location and the town and lake are fantastic. The communication with the owner was superb. The cottage is incredibly well stocked with towels and kitchen supplies. Very clean. Great rental for a couple or small family.

Very nice stay very nice location

The cottage is in a great location on Crystal Lake. Very close to other towns and locations: biking and hiking trails, Lake Michigan beaches and more. The beach at the cottage is nice, too, the Lake is good for swimming, and the owners are very accommodating.

perfect location

My family love our stay here. The house was in the perfect location, easily walkable to public beach, & restaurants. The house was well stocked with everything week needed. Very clean and the host was extremely helpful! The house was perfect for my 2 & 6 yr old, very family friendly especially with the sand beach to play at. We can’t wait to come back!

A special cotrage

This cottage is a wonderful place to stay; right on Crystal Lake. The hosts (Dan & Jan) are a great couple who are very accommodating. They stoped by to make sure we had everything we needed. The cottage was stocked with everything you could need (even bikes). We will definitely stay here next year

Beautiful Place to Stay

Our stay at quaint cottage was fantastic. The hosts are wonderful and the place is beyond comfortable and clean. Everything you could need is supplied for you so you don't have to schlep everything up with you. There is a full kitchen and there is an ice maker in the refrigerator which was great for our day trips. It was a wonderful place and we can't wait to go back. The only drawback was the shower stall which it tiny, you certainly don't want to drop anything because you won't be able to pick it up.

Small but well-equipped

My family rented this cottage for our vacation, we have two boys ages two and four. The location was amazing - we could walk to a playground at the public beach in minutes or wander down to the coffee shop. The inside is definitely compact but the space is used very well. The hosts supply basically everything you need - this is helpful, but also means that a lot of the shelves/closets are filled up, so when you’re traveling with two small children and have lots of stuff there aren’t really places to put it all. That being said, we knew what we signed up for with 600 sq. ft. :) Having linens and towels plus lots of beach towels and blankets available saves lots of space in packing the car. If you’re using a pack and play, be aware that it can’t fit in the room with the full size bed and will need to be in the room with the twin beds. The owners were very responsive and check-in was a breeze using the lock box. Highly recommmend!

Absolutely gorgeous

What a wonderful, small but very clean and up to date home! Pictures doesn't do it justice. Located at the south end of Crystal Lake this home had everything we needed. The doorwalls off the back of the home make for perfect sleeping at night and wonderful views/sounds during the day. Walk to town, bike to Frankfort, kayak/boat/jet ski on Crystal. We will book again.

My family and I stayed at this house recently and it was perfect for what we needed. The house was very clean, plenty of supplies available, and easy access to surrounding areas! Plenty to do in the area. I would def recommend staying here.

Best Ever

WOW. Great place to stay. Walked in and the views of Crystal Lake were spectacular. The deck was comfortable and only 15’ from the lake. The cottage itself was beyond clean and the owners thought of anything that we might need. The furniture looked new and was so comfortable (loved the lazy boys). Beds very comfortable.
