We loved everything about this place: boating, fishing, swimming, even picking blueberries in the back yard. If we had a do-over, we would skip the tourist-y Seattle stuff and just spend a day (or more) playing at the house.The house was very clean and well-stocked with necessities. It's on a very quiet street, within walking distance of the park and close to stores and restaurants. Our host was right upstairs, so any needs were addressed right away (he even left a bowl of blueberries on the porch for us).If you stay here, take our advice and leave lots of time in your schedule to enjoy the amenities. We hope to do the same if we get to come back.
My first yellow perch! Lots of these, rock bass, blue gill, and one big largemouth that wasn't interested in being caught. Pick up some worms at Fred Meyer and you can catch fish all day.

Beautiful lakefront property! We had such a wonderful time and Travis was an amazing host! We were able to have family visit and enjoy the lake, the putting green and family meals. Everything that we would ever need was supplied. We will definitely book again. So much fun!

Travis was a great host and we had a wonderful stay at Silver Lake. The accommodations were well-appointed with everything we needed and our boys loved being able to swim, fish off the dock, and paddle around the lake, not to mention putting on the green and relaxing in the hot tub. Turned our long weekend in the area for a soccer tournament into a much more fun and relaxing get-away.

Can't say enough good things about the Silver Lake Escape and Travis.Beautiful, well kept property on a beautiful lake. The house is well furnished with comfy beds, sofas, and a well equipped kitchen. Travis had a jar of freshly ground local coffee ready for the coffee maker.Our girls enjoyed picking the raspberries, blueberries, and strawberries that were in season (early July). They also had fun catching some small rock bass and baby perch from the dock. We kayaked around the lake and enjoyed the views from the house and dock.Travis was incredibly friendly and available to answer any questions or deal with issues (of which there were none).Honestly nothing negative to say about the whole experience. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and wouldn't hesitate to book again the next time we're in the area.Thanks Travis!

Spectacular Property and Stay

This is such a beautiful property right on the Lake and is so comfortable and well equipped. Travis has created the perfect place to relax and has been mindful to have things for anyone at any age to enjoy. A putting green, paddle boat, games, hot tub, fresh berries to pick and enjoy, just naming a few. This home is truly magical and we for sure will stay again when visiting family in the area.

Memorial Day Stay

We stayed at the Silver Lake Escape while visiting family. The space is warm, inviting and well stocked. Travis was very accommodating and helpful. I felt like I was staying with a good friend. We love to stay there again!

Perfect For Little ones

We really enjoyed our time on Silverlake. Check in was fast and easy. The property was CLEAN and stocked with the major essentials making our stay super easy with little ones. The rooms were a great size, loved having a laundry room in the space too! The communication was great, we needed to book an extra day. The host responded fast, was friendly and helpful! Would definitely come back.

Second time staying at this home

Warm and welcoming home with all necessary amenities! Travis, the owner, is easy to communicate with and is very readily available for any queries. This is our second stay at this property. We enjoy the view, the close proximity to grocery and shops and the area is near to so many places to drive to for day trips. We will definetly return.

We had a wonderful stay. This lake-front property is quiet and peaceful but not far from I-5. We enjoyed being able to hop on the nearby light rail to sightsee in Seattle. Travis was a great host!

Silver Lake Escape

My family was in Seattle area for our son's wedding. The Silver Lake Escape was a perfect place for us to relax and unwind when we were not at wedding events. The host was so easy to communicate with, and went out of his way to make us feel welcome. We loved the walking trail around the lake, the comfortable lodgings, the lovely and peaceful setting. We made use of the hot tub, the mini golf, the paddle boards, the kayak and the paddleboat and the games in the cupboard! Lots of un was had!

Family Retreat at Silver Lake

The location and view were fantastic. Travis welcomed us upon arrival and showed us around the property. He was very prompt with communications and provided suggestions for activities and dining. Weather was great, highs in the 70s and lows in the 50s. There was plenty to do on-site and lots of other activities nearby.

Escape from reality

We had an amazing time at Silver Lake escape. Travis had everything we needed, he even made us a yummy lemon cake upon arrival. The lake was beautiful. My children had fun paddle boarding, kayaking and swimming. The house was close to all the activities we had planned. It was nice to come home to a hot tub, after a day of hiking. I highly recommend this house.

The Silver Lake Escape was just that. It was a great time and the host was the best. I was hesitant about renting venues like this, but if all experiences are like this I will do this again.

Relaxation spot or family of the groom hide-out

My son was getting married and we (his family) needed a place to stay. Most of us are from a variety of states. The accommodations exceeded our expectations!! The owner, Travis, has lake front accommodations and water accessories to accommodate everyone’s wishes! The PNW weather was PERFECT! The location to freeways and “alternative” roads were close!!! The 2 bed/2bath, spacious home provided us THE MOST beautiful location to relax on between wedding events. We look forward to booking another outing in the PNW soon and we will definitely stay here!

Superb Accommodations

This was our second time staying there. Close to Angel of the winds arena (our granddaughter graduated from Jackson High School), Mill creek shops and Restaurants (recommend Cafe Neo, Momo Sushi, Azul Restaurant, Ivers (on Lake Washington and Everett by Whitney island ferry) and of course Emory’s (across silver lake). We did an outing to Din Tai Fung (best dumplings in the world) in the University area. Highway 5 so close to get on. The garden at Travis home and surrounding area are incredible. A little cold and a few days rainy which meant the fireplace in LR was great. Husband enjoyed jogging around Silver Lake every morning. Be prepared for the highest bed I ever slept in. The owner and Gary (the next door neighbor) were wonderful to talk with. We definitely will stay there again and hopefully at a time when it will be warmer.

Wonderful and quiet

This home is in a great location, with a beautiful lake view and access, and all grocery and shopping nearby. Travis is a lovely host with great communication and attentive to any needs that may arise. The home has comfy beds, kitchen amenities that allow cooking meals easily and good wifi. We enjoyed our stay!

We were SO comfortable and so well looked after!

This is a lovely two-bedroom first floor unit with a putting green right outside the door -- my great grands got a big kick out of this, a hot tub (my daughter and housemate) enjoyed the soothing properties after many busy days. And gorgeous landscaping, and a lake that even in the rain was so beautiful. My daughter took the kayak very early every morning, rain or shine -- her first day she discovered the otters who were not well pleased to have her intrude on their lilypad quarters -- great video memory. Cat was utterly on top of everything and always called me to advise if anyone needed access (our hosts turned themselves inside out trying to get the fireplace working for the first time this season) and Travis was so kind and attentive -- he surprised us with the last of the season's dahlias gorgeous! The kitchen was a dream...very well equipped and I SO appreciate the owners allowing guests to leave behind bits and pieces...so nice not to need to purchase mustard and ketchup and salt and pepper, etc. Cat left us a delicious coffee cake upon arrival and provided really excellent coffee for our use throughout our stay. There was a closet chock full of board games and small toys -- the day the great-grands and their parents came for crafting and dinner the kids found the Clue game fun My bed was truly like a an enveloping cocoon and I appreciated very much having two night stand lamps for reading. GREAT location for us near family. We intend to stay again! Thank you!

Greeting... I have been an active on-site host at the Silver Lake Escape since 2018. I enjoy meeting the guests on vacation and doing what I can to make your stay as fun and comfortable as possible.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

Lake life is great. The scenery and vibrance of the all-day sun (when it's sunny). Silver Lake is natural, fed by warm and cold Springs and is great for swimming, paddle boarding and kayaking. There are no motors allowed on this lake, except for the annual hydro event the 1st weekend of June, so it's a very safe lake for individual water activities. The bald eagles are here most of the year, we have a resident Great Blue Heron who reveals herself periodically, and the occasional family of otters are seen passing by.
