I stayed with my young adult daughters and had a magical stay. The cabin had the lake cottage charm of the historic property but also two renovated additions with a/c and spacious full bath area with two sinks. The bunk beds were very comfortable in the 4 bed bunk room. The master bed loft was also comfortable with a gorgeous view. The spiral staircase is to the loft area is charming. We had everything we needed for cooking, grilling and enjoying the lake. Absolutely loved it!

The cabin is at a great location on beautiful Lake Charlevoix. The owners have thought of, and provide absolutely everything necessary to enjoy your time there. Our family would definitely stay again.

We have been staying here for a few years, and it never gets old. We love coming to the lake, and staying in the cabin is a bonus!

This was our second summer staying here and it is always the best stay! They had a major upgrade with AC in the bedrooms, so we stayed nice and cool! We love this spot with the amazing view and have such a relaxing time. We can't wait to go back next summer :)

Wonderful Stay

Betula was everything we hoped for! It was clean and so quaint! Lou was a great host and made sure we had everything we needed. Our boys loved the house and property. Thanks for a great get away!

4th getaway

Great location, very cute cottage w/lots of character, well stocked kitchen w/many needed items. Lots of water inflatables, hammock, wood for fires, gas grill, etc., etc. - so many well thought of things considered & provided to make a great vacation choice. Boat hoist was a huge plus for us - parking/turn around is tough for truck & trailer. Views & sunsets were lovely 1 bathroom, however, it is laid out well so it worked for 4 adults without seeming inconvenient. Split unit AC in both bedrroms was great.Communication was great, would return again.

Beautiful location

This was our 2nd time staying here. The renovation with the new bedrooms and expanded/separated bathroom were very comfortable. The master bedroom loft area is accessed via a spiral staircase and the bed is in the loft. For some reason I didn't realize the bed would be upstairs from the description. It was not an issue for us, and the view was amazing, but may be for some. There were some housekeeping issues during our stay and Lou was very responsive in trying to get them resolved. We had a great week enjoying the lake.

Perfect getaway

We made last minute plans for a short getaway before the July holiday. What a perfect home and location! It’s a unique property - mix of rustic and modern all on a beautiful lake! Not having A/C didn’t bother us at all even with 90 degree days. Beautiful breezes off the lake and the fans were enough. The evenings and overnights up north don’t need it and sleeping with some windows open made listening to a thunderstorm extra enjoyable! We appreciated all of the attention to details and overall comfort. Quick responses from the owners took care of the few items we needed help with. Last day we rented a pontoon from Summertime Rentals right across the lake. Highly recommend. Overall a wonderful stay!!

Firm retreat

This is a true cottage, what so many on Lake Charlevoix used to look like. If you are looking for an authentic Up North stay, you won't be disappointed.

Lake Charlevoix Up North Paradise

The Betula cabin and its amenities were fantastic for our family of 5. We enjoyed swimming off the dock, the motorized boat lift, sandy lake bottom, sunsets, evening fires and so much more. Lou was very responsive and has a wonderful spot in paradise.

The house came with more than you would ever expect in amenities. Privacy with lakefront is rare. Can't say enough good things. We will be returning.

Quintessential Northern Michigan

This property was perfect for our family vacation. Everything was as described and communication with Lou was very easy. The location is perfect for a lake vacation, you can swim right off the dock and the fire pit is nice after a day on the water. As mentioned in the listing, the bedrooms are tight but it worked fine for our family. It was nice to have laundry available too.

Adorable cabin

Cabin is adorable. It was unseasonably hot. Could of used another fan or air condition. The lake and water is beautiful. Love the sandy bottom and swimming steps on dock. Cabin had all that you need to have a great time!

Great cabin

We had a nice stay at the cabin, the lake was beautiful and the sunset so pretty. The furniture comfy and we really enjoyed the board games. The fire pit was great. A tad bit of trouble with the kitchen sink backing up but we were promptly refunded a nights stay and told it would be fixed. A very peaceful get away.
