The location is great. We’ve stayed here before but in another unit. The decor was dated, coffee was expired by over a year, utensils were broken or poor quality, and the walk ways, deck on the condo were mildewed and covered in webs and bugs. The transactional piece was good but overwhelmed with the amount of communication. Vrbos in the past would have a book at the site with instructions on how to work the tvs, etc. It took us nearly a half hour to find the Michigan game. Could not figure out how to switch from Roku to dtv then could not access the Channel guide so we had to go 1 by 1. Bed and linens were comfy and good. Bathroom clean but toilet does not flush well.

Wonderful place

Firstly, the accommodations were impeccable. The cozy atmosphere made us feel right at home, and the layout was spacious yet intimate. The bedroom was comfortable with a plush queen-size bed that ensured a restful night's sleep, while the queen-size sleeper sofa provided additional flexibility for our group. One of the highlights was the inclusion of Smart TVs with access to Netflix and other streaming platforms. It was wonderful to unwind in the evenings with our favorite shows and movies after a day of exploring the beautiful surroundings. The amenities provided were top-notch. From the convenient coffee maker to the essential hair dryer, they had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The complimentary wine was a delightful touch, adding an extra layer of luxury to our experience. The location couldn't have been better. With Mcgee's just a stone's throw away and The Clubhouse at Grand Traverse Resort and Spa within easy reach, we were spoiled for choice when it comes to dining and entertainment options. Plus, having PNC Bank nearby was incredibly convenient for any last-minute needs. Overall, our stay at the condo exceeded all expectations. The attention to detail, thoughtful amenities, and prime location made it a truly unforgettable experience. We can't wait to return and create more wonderful memories in this delightful retreat. 😍

Great!

We did have a great time. The rental is super close to Turtle Creek and all the wineries, which is awesome. The apartment was really clean when we got there. It was also easy to find.

Cute And Clean Condo

We only were able to stay one night, but we found the condo to be aptly named...it was very cozy and comfortable. The management was very responsive and accommodating to our need to check in early. And we received all kinds of info about the area, including where to eat, drink and watch sunsets. We would highly recommend the Cozy Lakeside Condo.

5 Stars - Great couple getaway to Traverse City

My boyfriend and I rented this condo for about a week on a getaway this fall to explore Traverse City. The condo itself was awesome- spacious enough for the two of us, kitchenette when we wanted to make breakfast, and even a welcome bottle of wine. It is within walking distance from the water, and just a short drive to downtown Traverse City. We didn't want to come home! Definitely will be booking this condo or another True North property when we come back this summer. :)

Amenities were bad and response was worse

We couldn't get into the condo when we arrived -- either the code was wrong or the door handle was extremely loose/broken. We called multiple lines and did not get a return call until several hours later. Since it was evening and we did not get a response for hours, we spent our first evening finding another hotel to stay. Most places were booked and a few over charged. By the time we got into the new hotel -- the cheapest we can find at almost $400 dollars -they finally called us. The bathroom shower drain was clogged during the entire stay even though we reported it at least 3 times. They kept on saying that the technician fixed it and we said it has not been fixed. As we showered, we were standing in a puddle of the same water we washed ourselves with. It was gross. The clothes washer and dryer did not work the first time we used it. They said the technician fixed it. Again, we told them it some times work and sometimes not. Being that we were at the beach regularly, we had swim suits and towels to wash daily. There were days in which we hand washed and hung the clothes to dry ourselves. We asked to talk to the owner directly because our expectations for basic amenities were not being met. The number to contact the owner in their email was incorrect. We asked the person who did eventually return our call that we wanted the owner to call us. We asked this almost daily. He never called is back.

Stay someplace else

This place left a lot to be desired. First would be the lighting - or lack thereof. The kitchen was dark with no decent lighting other than the light under the microwave and a small light above the sink.. The bulb in the light above the dining room table was so dim it barely did any good at all, but I will give credit for the fact that there was at least a bulb in it, which is more than I can say for the light above the bathroom vanity. It had space for 4 bulbs, only 1 worked, one of the sockets didn't have a bulb in it at all. The lighting in the bathroom itself was very dim as well. Even though this condo had a washer and dryer, neither worked. The dishwasher didn't work either. The TV in the condo showed that it was a Smart TV with access to Netflix, Hulu, etc. -- Nope, that wasn't available either. Another issue was the electrical outlets in the bedroom. They pushed right into the wall. We wondered if they had ever been attached correctly or if the screws attaching them to the studs had been broken off at some point, but this is just dangerous. The pots and pans in the kitchen were disgusting -- and likely not even safe to use. They were, at one point, non-stick, but they were so scratched up and damaged that there wasn't a lot of coating even left. But, since there were no utensils in the kitchen made for use with non-stick pans, it didn't surprise us that the pans were in such horrible condition. The electronic deadbolt on the door was convenient, but I wish it had been put in correctly. We had to hold the door in just the right spot for the deadbolt to engage. In spite of all of the things wrong with this condo, it was in a nice location and the walk to the beach was beautiful. It was very quiet as well. These are the only positive things we could come up with about this place. My advice is to stay somewhere else.

Horrible communication

Property was nice and clean. However, there were a number of problems with the unit. I reached out to the manager via text and phone call numerous times and NEVER received a contact back. We were also charged 2 cleaning fees and NEVER received a cleaning.

Great for a weekend

In town for a soccer tournament. Condo was clean and well equipped. Only complaint is that tjere were only 3 pillows for a condo for 4 people. Luckily we brought our own. We will be back!!!
