We can't recommend this home enough. By far the cleanest and best stocked rental we have ever stayed in , and we stay in a lot. Extremely inpressed by every aspect of this home. Perfect location, close to everything, across the street from beach access and walking distance to all you can eat pancakes. We miss our manatee friends already, and will definitely book again!

Best First visit to AMI

Our stay was amazing! First day of arrival we let them know we were early. They were nice enough to let us check in a few hours earlier. Then when she met at the home, she went over all the details which was very helpful as I have a small kid and I was a little worried about the swimming pool and canal she made me feel so comfortable with all the safely features . The house was exactly as pictured very clean and it had everything we needed for our perfect vacation. We’ve already planned on coming back again next year thanks for letting us stay in your beautiful home. Not to mention waking up and seeing manatees every morning was such a delight.

Loved manatee watch

We had a wonderful stay at manatee watch. Our hosts were very welcoming and helpful. House was perfect and we enjoyed our time at the pool/deck. Would recommend and stay here again!

Amazing location, fantastic house

We had a wonderful holiday at Manatee Watch. The house and pool area exceeded our expectations - even better than the photos. Marissa and Olaf were responsive to any messages and Marissa met us on arrival which was lovely. Very short walk to the beach and close to Publix/Restaurants. And as for the manatees? They came to play for hours every day just in front of the dock - what a privilege to watch them. We can't wait to go back!

Wonderful vacation!

Property was very clean, comfortable, and in a great location! We enjoyed having coffee by the canal every morning and even got to see manatees a couple of times! Great communication with owner as well - would definitely stay here again!

December 2024 Stay

We had a wonderful week on Anna Maria Island. The Manatee Watch house is in perfect condition. We have stayed there three times and highly recommend staying at this property. As always, Olaf and Marrissa were attentive and perfect hosts.

Great Location and Very Clean

This home was very nice and the location was perfect for beach access! We saw manatees everyday. The host was extremely responsive and attentive. Highly recommend!

Our stay at Manatee Watch could not possibly have been better.From the very beginning - at booking - Marissa and Olaf were friendly and accomodating. That continued throughout our stay.The home exceeded our expectations in all areas - cleanliness, comfort, space, and function. It was absolutely perfect for us.The appliances, laundry, and amenities are all modern and in excellent working order. The house is stocked with bare essentials on arrival.The manatees were a true gift. All morning and afternoon every day there were 8-10 manatees swimming and playing in the canal. They were so fun to watch.The back patio and pool area was amazing. The pool was the perfect, refreshing escape from the heat at the beach and the outdoor dining area with ceiling fans was wonderful for dinner.I cannot say enough good things about the property. We cannot wait to come back.

Perfect location, great house

This home suited us to a tee. Right on a canal and a short walk to the beach. The house is very clean and well equipped, even beach chairs, pool floats and sand chairs. Can’t wait to return!

Great location Clean Fun area

Great house Comfortable and very clean Pool deck, canal for fishing and a 2 minute walk across the street to the Gulf The kitchen is well equipped but get out and visit the many restaurants close by The house was not too swanky it’s nice but didn’t have to worry about kids too much Relaxed! Olaf our host could not have been more accommodating Highly recommend this spot!

Second visit just as wonderful as first!

This is a special place. We have stayed here twice. Perfect home in the best location. Manatee sightings, easy walk to the beach, and comfortable home with everything you need. We rented kayaks both times we came and used them everyday. We even saw dolphins in the bay while kayaking. The owners, Olaf and Marissa are kind and welcoming. Will gladly return!

Perfect little paradise

We had a wonderful stay and the house was possible the best rental we have ever stayed in. From waking up to watch the manatee’s swimming in the cove out back, to a nice morning stroll on the beach, the location offered everything you could need and want. Take a hot tub, swim in the pool then hit the beach, rinse and repeat. Add in a few meals at some of the great local spots and that pretty much sums up the week.

Fantastic week!

The house was wonderful and just as described and as it looks in the photos. Perfect location. We loved the pool and hot tub. We saw manatees in the canal daily. Couldn’t have asked for a better vacation. We will be back for sure.

Excellent Property

This house was perfect. The location is great. We enjoyed the heated pool and spa. It was really nice to sit in the spa on chilly nights. The 2 minute walk to the beach was so easy especially with all of the equipment that comes with house - chairs, beach cart, umbrella, cooler, beach toys, etc. Thank you Olaf and Marissa for such a lovely home.

Delightful and Great Location!

We loved staying at Manatee Watch! We brought our 4 teenage boys and they loved the location to the sea, the trolley, their favorite breakfast spot and the pool and hot tub too. They fished on the dock and the pier too! The daily manatee sightings were an added bonus and such fun! The house was very clean and had a nice kitchen we cooked in a few times. Wonderful Property

We recently stayed at Manatee Watch for a week (2 Adults and 4 kids ages 17,16,13 and 10). This property was perfect for our family. It was clean, had all the amenities and was very comfortable. The pool and hot tub were wonderful and where we spent most of our time. It was a very short walk to the beach as well as to shops and a few restaurants. A short drive and you could easily get to everywhere on the island. Our host, Marissa, met us when we arrived and was extremely nice and welcoming. We hope to visit sometime again. Would highly recommend.

You can believe the hype...

This is a rare instance when you can believe the hype or marketing / home listing. The name says Manatee Watch and watch we did - we saw manatees every day (families of them playing only feet away). The pool area is beautiful and very relaxing - the shaded area and abundance of chairs helps. The home clean and very well maintained. I've never seen a rental stocked with so much in a kitchen - he had everything one could need. The location is excellent - close to the beach access, quiet, easy to get to and from and close to the shuttle. Overall, this is an excellent rental - kudos to Olaf.

Absolutely Amazing

This was my first time booking a VRBO so I was a little anxious. I had no reason to worry! The house was amazing & clean. Many days we saw manatees. The house came with all of the essentials (hand soap, face soap, dish soap, trash bags, paper towels, toilet paper, & so much more). So no need to pack the essentials. The home is less than 5 minutes from publix and less than a 5 minute walk to the beach. The beach was never crowded. The home is also next to the trolley stop which is very convenient. Olaf & Marissa were always available when needed and were great hosts. I would definitely book one of their homes again.

Best vacation spot

Our family (3 young kids under 5) stayed here for the week and this place was just perfect!! Very clean, tons of fresh towels, felt very well kept up. Beds were firm but comfortable. Everything well stocked (without clutter) more so than other rentals we have stayed at. Pool and hot tub were clean and warm. Olaf greeted us on arrival and showed us how to work everything in the pool area. We definitely saw some manatees right off the dock, kids got sprayed by one and found it hilarious. Beach supplies were perfect with cart, pool floats, sand toys, chairs, umbrellas, cooler. Quick walk to the beach that was not crowded and absolutely gorgeous. We also loved the location. Quiet street with easy access to trolley, grocery store, beach etc. quick few minutes on golf cart to north of island but also closer to brandenton etc. if exploring south. Really recommend this place! Our family had an amazing time discovering AMI, and left feeling so refreshed! Thanks for hosting us :)

Perfect vacation property

What a great place. The house was a perfect size for five of us. The pool and jacuzzi were heated, which was a bonus. Most homes you rent require an extra fee for a heated pool. The property is at the end of a bayou, I think that’s wha you call it. The manatees were so much fun to watch. There was plenty of space to lay in the sun. There were 2 tables and chairs under the deck so you could hang out in the shade. A set of table and chairs , with an umbrella was on the deck right off of the living room. The kitchen was very well stocked. There were beach towel’s, chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards, sand toys, cooler and a cart to bring any or all to the beach. The beautiful, semi private beach with sea green water, is a minute or two walk from the home. It is breath taking when you first step on the beach. Watching the sunset from the beach is serene. I’ve rented a number of homes in different locations in Florida and this is the best it gets. All I can say is, rent this home and you won’t regret it. The owner is very pleasant and attentive. We were very, very, happy on our vacation. What a great vacation home.
