Two-week fishing trip

Thoroughly enjoyed this property, despite a couple of small things. There isn't sufficient dining inside for a large group (not clear from pictures) but it has a nice table outside. There was wind and rain that occasionally prevented us from using it. Also the ice maker didn't work so we had to buy ice. The owners were super responsive with all necessary communication.

Lakeside house

We enjoyed our stay, loved sitting on deck enjoying view of lake and watching the boat traffic. House was as presented on site. Bed was comfortable and was great to view lake from the master bedroom especially neat to watch the sunrises over the lake.

Cozy spot right on the lake

The inside is not big, but it is upgraded nicely and has everything you need. Lots of space outside and it's right on the water with a private dock. Chill neighbors on one side, and basically an empty lot on the other side. Definitely a cozy setup.

Quiet loveliness in a pretty little house

My review might seem over the top because we had such a nice getaway and because the home was so recently renovated that we kept admiring how nice everything was. Staying there midweek meant we enjoyed almost total silence, day and night. We sat on the dock in the handy lightweight adirondack chairs and watched the ducks. My spouse took out a kayak for a spell. It was still our first day when we started scheming about how soon we could return. When a place is so tidy and so clean, you feel as relaxed as you can ever get. Shannon and Chris have created the perfect getaway--and answered every one of my messages within *minutes.*

2020 Getaway

House is beautiful, very clean. Location is peaceful. My boys enjoyed being able to wake up and just go to the lake, we all enjoyed the kayaks and paddle boat. Neighbors are friendly. Landlords took care of everything. Very relaxing getaway. We definitely enjoyed our stay.

Spent the weekend here celebrating our anniversary! Beautifully updated home. Perfect size!! Loved the house, the deck, the use of the dock. Neighbors were nice too! Owners were quick to reply with any questions I had prior to coming! Would love to come back!

Pretty, well-appointed house in a nice location but watch the lake level

We would give this experience 5 stars except that the lake was at flood stage, lapping up onto the lawn, and there was a no-craft warning for the lake. So, we were unable to do some of the things we had looked forward to doing, and had less of the property to enjoy. We received a token discount.

Wonderful weekend!

Great property for a nice family vacation. It had all the amenities we could have hoped for and more. (Including black out blinds!! Big plus when you have kids.) We used the kayaks and fished off the pier. View of the lake was awesome. We thoroughly enjoyed it and will definitely be back again next summer. Thanks Shannon for making it such a great experience for our family!

Fun on the lake

My family had a great time at this house. We loved access to the kayaks, paddle boards, and paddle boat. Lake was warm and not very deep near the house. Dock could use a ladder to make it easier for people to get in and out of the water, but we were able to help each other. Kitchen had plenty of supplies, and towels and linens were good quality. It was a perfect getaway for our family, and loved sitting in the Adirondack chairs looking out on the water.

We loved our visit here. The property is just as described. It was so quiet and calm when we visited and it was a very quiet neighborhood. The property was super clean and comfortable. We'd definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway.

Perfect Weekend Getaway!

WOW! We were so delighted by our stay on Pistakee Lake. My gals and I decided to do a girls' weekend to support a friend who has had a pretty rough couple of months. This house is only about an hour from Chicago but an entire world away! IT WAS PERFECT. We spent our weekend drinking wine and chatting on the dock and paddleboarding on the gorgeous lake. I wish we had spent time around a fire in the firepit, as it was all set up and ready for us (THANK YOU!), but our dinners out went a little late. Although *I* wasn't up early enough to see it, one of my friends caught the breathtaking sunrise across the water. The house is beautifully updated, super clean, and full of everything we needed! Shannon was quick to respond to my messages, and the check-in/check-out stuff was SO EASY. I'd go back there in a heartbeat. Thanks, Shannon!

Summer on the lake

House was very clean and nicely updates. Water sporting equipment was lots of fun. Water is very rough and choppy in this location on weekends but weekdays were great.

Clean quiet updated

Perfect for little getaways clean quiet and well updated and decorated. All the amenities you can ever want or need. A+ on the extra activities such as board games TV internet and watersports. The location is on a quiet dead-end street and the front of the home is facing the lake. Not far from places like super Walmart if you need anything and pharmacy gas station etc. The lake is gorgeous at sunrise especially. The kids loved it. We loved it so much we will definitely be returning. Owners are great at communicating.

We love the hustle and bustle of Chicago but like to retreat away to peace on quiet on this hidden gem in Lake Pistakee. We enjoy traveling and outdoor activities. Shannon works in higher education and Chris is in the travel industry. We hope you enjoy our lakehouse as much as we do!

4602 N Stafford is located on a quiet dead end street on Pistakee Lake which of apart of 14 connected lakes know as the Chain o Lakes. The master bedroom and family room have brilliant unobstructed views of the lake. Hearing the waves gently bump into the dock, watching the sun rise over the water, or making smores over the lakefront firepit will put any mind at ease.
