YOUR SAFETY AT RISK, unless you drive a 4x4 vehicle.The location of the property is as beautiful as the pictures. The place was not clean & did not have pool towels, we found roaches-big and small- and 3 large spiders... the place is more like an eco-tourism, backpacking kinda place. But that is not the problem. The listing only suggests you have a car. Nowhere does it states a 4x4 vehicle was NEEDED! We almost lost our lives 2 times going up the very steep hill in a rainy season. Our car lost traction and almost went over the cliff. We had to manage driving down on reverse all the way from the top. We were only warned by the managing company upon our arrival. We missed 2 days of going out because our small SUV would not make it up the hill. And taxis refused to pick us up because the hill was too dangerous and slippery while wet. Also, the house does not have a functioning door or gate. Anyone can go right in if the shutters are not down. In fact, the pool guy came without warning and was right inside the house without us knowing. Delivery guys and people from the area know this place has no gate. That is not safe anywhere in the Dominican.This app does not allow me to post videos so you could see and hear for yourselves! On the last day, we changed cars to a 4x4 pickup truck.My only hope with this post is that when you see the listing, it has been edited to add the safety warning.
