Las vistas panorámicas de Plum Island, el océano y las puestas de sol son impresionantes desde la terraza de caoba en la azotea de esta encantadora casa de playa de 3 dormitorios. Ubicado en una calle lateral tranquila en la parte sur de Plum Island, está a solo 2 minutos a pie de la playa. El primer piso soleado es un concepto abierto de sala, comedor y cocina; una habitación (cama queen); y un baño completo. Una puerta francesa conduce al sótano acogedor y terminado donde se encuentran el segundo dormitorio (2 camas individuales) y la tercera área de descanso (cama de matrimonio con armario). Nice Place

Easy access to the beach. Kitchen is small but fully stocked and dining area has plenty of room. Nice deck for eating too.

We love this house. It’s very comfy, clean, well stocked an d it’s beautifully decorated. It is just a short walk to the beautiful beaches of Plum Island, and you can hear the waves from inside the house! The fact that it’s pet friendly and the back yard is fenced in is a real plus! We’ll definitely be back again!

Great Plum Island location, short walk to beach!

Clean and comfortable house with everything you need to relax. Within walking distance of PI Provisions, and Mad Martha's for an excellent breakfast! The owner responds quickly to any questions you might have. Highly recommend!

Great Plum Island Stay

Our family vacation on Plum Island was fantastic. The community and beach are lovely. Paula’s place was great - everything we needed for our family of 4 and pup, including outdoor space and a little fenced in yard (huge for us when traveling with a dog and small child!). The roof deck gives ocean view and the sound and smell of the surf. Proximity by foot to shops, food and beach was amazing. We will be booking for next year!

Fantastic beach house with stunning views!!

My family and I stayed here for a week and had the BEST time!! Everything in the house was exactly as listed and pictured. Having a fenced in yard for our pup is hard to find!! The walk to the beach was super easy and flat, which is important when you have a wagon full of beach stuff for kids. Paula was extremely easy to communicate with and quick to reply with any questions we had, including a dinner recommendation for a birthday. Ice cream and store are a short walk away. We hope to return next year!!

peaceful and outstanding

First, the owner was extremely attentive and wanted to ensure our stay was enjoyable. The owner maintains the property,the house is clean and very well maintained.Location was within walking distance to beach or an easy drive. Close to NH and Maine if that is something you are interested in doing.

Fantastic for beach vacation

We had an amazing stay at Paula's beach cottage! From the moment we arrived, everything was just as described online. The cottage was spotless, easy to access, and had all the essentials for a relaxing getaway. Paula clearly put thought into creating a welcoming and comfortable space for her guests. The location couldn't have been better - it was perfect for a beach vacation, with the shoreline just a short walk away. Whether you're looking to relax or explore the area, this spot is ideal. We couldn't have asked for a better experience and highly recommend staying here!

Great location & cute and comfortable house

We loved the location of this home. 3 minute walk to the beach, restaurants, ice cream & neighborhood markets. The house was great & came with everything we needed including linens, beach towels & chairs. It stayed very cool with the a/c units. The deck gets morning sun & we really enjoyed our breakfast & coffee out there. We were able to watch Salisbury fireworks from the rooftop deck. It also has ocean & sunset views. Loved that we could bring our dog & the yard was completely fenced. Our family of 5 was very comfortable there. Definitely recommend.

Charming get away

Paula was a very helpful and responsive host. It was fun to stay near the beach. House was clean and well stocked with linens and beach chairs etc. Great place for a family vacation with our boat and dogs.

Beautiful and Peaceful

We really enjoyed our stay at the property and spending time with our adult daughters. The view from the roof deck was spectacular and everything on the island is easy to walk to. A beautiful and peaceful beach vacation.

Relaxing

We had the best time at Paula’s house. The house was clean and included almost everything we needed. The decks on the roof was fun, but the deck on the first floor was also perfect for sitting outside. The walk to the beach took almost no time, and the outdoor shower made clean up easy! The place was very dog friendly and we enjoyed having our four-legged family with us.

Gorgeous views in a beautiful neighborhood

The house was exactly as described in the property overview and pictures. Check in was easy and convenient. The house was clean and had a lot of natural light. We contacted Paula to inquire about the games which were mentioned as being a available when we couldn't find them and she very quickly dropped off a bag full of games. We also had to contact her when we noticed small ants in the kitchen and again, she very quickly responded and came over to take care of them. I absolutely loved watching the sunsets from the rooftop deck! We were very happy with the house and with Paula.

Perfect

This was our first stay on Plum Island, and it was wonderful. Paula’s beach house was perfect for my husband, me, and our small pup. This rental is so clean and well-equipped, you literally just have to bring your suitcase and a hairbrush. The spacious back deck was perfect for afternoon reading, and a step down to a sandy, fence-enclosed area was secure for our little guy to play in. As mentioned by a previous reviewer, the bedrooms on the lower level were quite damp, but we stayed on the main level of the house, which was cozy and comfortable. A very short walk brought us to a beautiful beach, which we had to ourselves this time of year. Nearby picturesque Newburyport is a lovely waterfront town filled with restaurants and shops to explore. Thank you, Paula, for being such a responsive, helpful host. We will definitely be planning a return trip next year.

Plum Island

Everything about the property was as listed. It is extremely close to the beach, Plum Island is beautiful and the owners were very easy to talk to. It is a great house to bring dogs to as there is a wonderful fenced in backyard that is very secure for the dogs. The tower on the house is stunning and offers a wonderful view of the ocean and area. The kitchen was very well equipped and serviceable. There is a big dining room table. The shops of Newburyport are very close to the area and easy to get to. Sitting on the back deck was very pleasant. The TV with the sound bar was terrific. Now, the reasons we cut short our vacation. The back sliding door would not lock at all and there was no stick to put into the slider area to reinforce it. The owners were away and told us they would bring a dowel over as soon as possible, within two days. This made us very uncomfortable, although the owners reassured us the area was completely safe, which it most likely is. However, this didn't sit well with my wife or our sister in law. The second issue was the downstairs bedrooms, there are two of them. The area had a very musty, almost moldy smell to it, even with the air conditioning going in the room downstairs. Now, we have had an extremely wet summer here in New England and I am sure that contributed to the problem, but the couple could not stand sleeping down there and decided to sack out on the couches upstairs. Our son and wife were contemplating joining us later in the week, and we cancelled them because of this issue as they have two young children. My wife and I had the upstairs bedroom, which was kind of small and only had one bureau and one nightstand. It did have an air conditioner in the bedroom. The living area was kind of smallish and the furniture was uncomfortable, and we don't think it would be a good fit for six people. We do think it would be fine for a couple or a single person, as long as the back door gets a lock. We'd also recommend getting three new up to date air conditioners and think about getting a dehumidifier in the basement to help eliminate the musty smell. We have to only give it an overall two rating, because we only stayed two nights because of the issues mentioned. For what we paid, and in comparison to three other places we have stayed at using similar methods of renting a house and comparable prices on the Cape and on a lake, we would choose a different house next time.

2nd fabulous year

This was our 2nd year staying at Paula's Plum Island beach house. The 2nd year she provided great weather and a relaxing stay. We love our time so much on the quaint and quiet Island and staying at the clean and well provided home that we're planning on staying for 2 weeks next year. Thank you Paula for being such a lovely host.

We enjoy walking our two dogs on the beach and all around the small streets of the island. We love the proximity of the house to the Parker River Wildlife Refuge and to Newburyport for shopping, dining, and other activities. We enjoy cooking, so having Tendercrop Farm just down the road provides us with a great variety of gourmet meats and produce. In town we love the Sunday Farmer’s market at the Tannery; it’s a great place to pick up dinner and peruse the local bookstore and shops. Best of all when we don’t feel like cooking we can walk to the Plum Island Grille, Plum Island Provision, The Cottage, Mad Martha’s or the Beach Coma

After renting this house for two winters we fell in love with it and Plum Island. In fact, we liked it so much here that we bought the house. Now we’ve made Plum Island our home. In the summer we retreat to our lake house so we really have the best of both worlds.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

The most distinct feature about the beach house is the roof-top deck with its breath-taking views of the island. Additionally, the house is located on a quiet side street (open at both ends), so there is very little traffic/noise and the yard is completely fenced-in which is ideal for families with small children or pets. It's a short two-minute walk to the closest beach path where the beach is rarely crowded.
