I booked Lori & Daniel’s gorgeous Lake Austin home for my bachelorette party with 15 of us. All of us had so much fun, and slept comfortably. Every bed in the home was perfect for all of us, and the amenities were amazing. The pool is so nice and cool in the Texas heat, great for a little pool party on Friday. Lori was extremely responsive with any question or request we had and made our stay that much more enjoyable. I’d highly recommend adding the housekeeper’s services throughout your stay as it was the best addition to our trip. Maria (the housekeeper) made us breakfast each morning, and lunch two days in a row. The food was delicious, and made it easy for our entire party to relax and enjoy the home. Thank you so much, and if you have the chance, definitely book with Mustard Seed!

From before we checked in to the day of checkout Lori was so communicative and helpful. She provided us with amazing recommendations and the house itself was absolutely perfect. We would definitely stay again and tecommend to friends.

Our extended family (7 adults and 2 small kids) enjoyed staying in this spacious and comfortable home for a long weekend in August. Lori was a great communicator and made sure we had the baby equipment we needed before we arrived. We all had plenty of privacy and comfortable rooms. The downstairs bedroom and bath are particularly luxurious. One should understand (and it is stated in the listing) that the house is not on the water , nor does it have a view of the water. The boat dock is a pleasant walk down the street. We found the swimming possibilities to be negligible as the lake is very busy on weekends and the boats come by pretty close to the dock. We were happy to have a very nice pool and hot tub to use, and we spent a lot of time in them. We also used the grill one night and it worked fine. The kitchen is pretty small relative to the size of the house, but the supply of serving pieces and equipment in the pantry was impressive. There was no shortage of dishes or flatware or table linens. We had a great time and were very comfortable in Mustard Seed lake house.

Great stay at Mustard Seed Westlake

Beautiful setting and lots to do around the property. Excellent communication and they helped with every aspect of planning a trip for 10 adults, including shuttle service and local chef. Also has everything you need for entertaining. Thanks again for a great stay.

Perfect Host and Perfect Location

We had multiple families gather here for an annual vacation, and it was fantastic. I have stayed at dozens of VRBO properties and the welcome packet from the host, Lori, was best I have ever received. Dozens of ideas and recommendations were included and she made sure that everything was good-to-go before we arrived. The house itself is in the perfect location to access Lake Austin, Dripping Springs, and downtown Austin. The property is beautifully appointed and the pool area was perfect for hanging out - Lori arranged for a chef to come to the house for an amazing Italian feast using the very cool pizza oven, which was a 10/10. Having the private dock was also a huge bonus, and it felt very exclusive - we had a boat pick us up for a really great day on the water, and then the kids spent hours jumping off the dock. The house itself was superbly clean and well appointed, and the kids had a blast on the zipline, too. I looked at just about every property available that could be convenient to access restaurants, the lake, shopping, and still be private and fun enough to enjoy staying home, and this one delivered on all levels. I would rent this or any house that Lori manages, with no reservations - what a great stay!

Unbelievable retreat!

The house and hospitality were unmatched! We had an amazing stay and Lori was extraordinarily helpful. She gave great guidance on where to shop locally and we even booked a chef and had a big family dinner at the house… all thanks to Lori. The house is gorgeous and in pristine condition — beautifully decorated. The pool and boat dock are amazing — this house is made for entertaining! Would DEFINITELY come back. We spent a family weekend celebrating a UT graduation and the house made the weekend even more special.

Could not have had a better stay…

From the moment we booked until checkout, Lori and Daniel we proactively helpful. From offering suggestions on in-house chef and boat rentals, to suggesting grocery delivery services and fun activities to do, it truly felt like concierge servicing. House was beautiful with no surprises. Will absolutely stay again for another Austin staycation.

my family stayed here for the eclipse in austin and had a wonderful time. such a beautiful property with plenty of room and a wonderful pool/hot tub. lori and daniel were available to help us with any issues we had and even helped us coordinate plans for our trip. highly recommend!

Great stay!

We had an awesome week at Mustard Seed! Lori was extremely helpful. She was a terrific concierge, providing us with the best recommendations for boat rental, dining, and a private chef. We spent our evenings by the fire listening to great music and enjoying our time.

Family time

My family and I rented this beautiful home to gather extended family for Thanksgiving week and to be together during my sister’s celebration of life. Even though it was a very emotional time for all of us, the house provided comfort and a perfect space for us to enjoy family time together. Lori was extremely helpful providing local resources and went out of her way to accommodate us. I highly recommend this home for families visiting Austin!

Amazing house...amazing host!

House was beautiful. Boat dock was gorgeous. My wife stayed there with 5 of her girlfriends for a surprise b-day weekend. Lori, was an incredible host. So giving of her time and helped me with securing private chefs, car services, etc. My wife and her friends had a spectacular time. Highly recommended. The house exceeded all expectations.

Fantastic lake austin getaway

Our groUp is a young 40s group of professionals and businessman from around the country on a college reunion trip… Location is Awesome. Close enough to downtown for dining and fun. Far enough away for a retreat. Very clean Fully stocked down to seasonings for steaks and truffle salt Nice cutlery to include a shun set in the kitchen. Very fine attention to detail noticed even by a bunch of west point grads ;) Booking was easy. The owners are very communicative and can tell that they care about the renters experience. Property itself is gorgeous. A renovated charming and classy home. Very fine touches to include automated showers, toilets, sonos throughout. The dock is just a short beautiful walk down the street in a quiet peaceful neighborhood on the lake. The dock itself is very spacious with new, clean furniture, a cooler (dont have to bring your own) and just a short 2 story jump into the refreshing waters. We had a few minor issues that arose.. which is to be expected..and all of which were not the fault of the owners. they were handled very very expeditiously and happily—in other words, the place is close to perfect but should any reasonable inconvenience occur the owners will do everything they can to remedy it. Truly first class. We will be back. Oh yea! They are also building a pool pizza oven and more to make the backyard and home even more enjoyable Top 2% of all vrbo i have stayed at.

Family friendly

Check in was super easy. Owner helped with special arrangements for dining and made great effort to make sure we had a special time. Home was beautifully decorated and appointed with everything to make it a memorable stay.

Fantastic Family Lake Trip

We had an amazing Labor Day weekend at Mustard Seed! The home perfectly accommodated the adults and the children, it was clean, well laid out and perfect for hosting families. Lori was such a pleasure to book with, friendly and easily accessible if we had any questions. We will absolutely be back!

Short 4th of July weekend stay at this beautiful home on Lake Austin. Great access to boat dock. Home is well furnished. Home owner very easy to deal with, but never had a problem. Would stay here again if in the Austin area

Peace and fun in equal measure

We wanted a get away where we could have peace and quiet but access to fun and found it all at Rivercrest. Lori is a pleasure to deal with and helped us make the most of our time with a great recommendation for a boat charter. The boat dock is an easy walk away and has everything you need to spend hours in the water, relaxing, cooking, fishing and watching the sunset. Everything about the house is perfect. It is incredibly well stocked and spacious, with several areas to gather and play games or watch a movie and enough space to have ‘me’ time and read in peace and quiet. We will definitely be back!

Great Austin Spot

While not directly on the water, Mustard Seed provided easy access to boat docks to hangout, play, and get access to boats. Lori and Daniel are awesome to work with, very responsive, and willing to help you out. The house is super clean and easy to navigate. Great house for big family as our older kids could use guest quarters (Separate stairway) and so when they stayed up late, they didn't keep everyone else up. Thanks for a great family trip!
