Beautiful, comfortable cottage!

Staying in the Stonegarden Cottage was fantastic! The view was amazing, the cottage was clean, well stocked with dishes and kitchen implements so we could cook meals easily, and very comfortable in every way. Thank you for making our vacation memorable!

Tropical garden get-away!

Our family of 6 plus my parents stayed at Stonegarden Cottage. We loved staying in quieter Coral Bay and enjoyed the Mountain View’s overlooking Coral Bay immensely. Both the owner and property manager were very attentive and informative before the trip. Highly recommend this property, it was a lush private garden oasis!

Coral Bay Cottage

A very comfortable home away from home. Great for our group of 7. Beautiful views, and a perfect location in laid-back Coral Bay. Support from the property managers was exceptional. We would happily return! Recommended!

Enjoyable stay.

Spent a week at Stonegarden Cottage. Very quaint. Perfect match for our family. Quiet side of island. Had everything we needed. Constant breeze really did keep us plenty comfortable. Convieninet location made a good base for exploring all of the lesser known beaches around. Would stay there again for sure.

Great house with amazing views & great & lush gardens

The property management couple that communicated with us knew more about it than I do my own house. They met us about 1/4 to 1/2 mile away & lead us to the home.

A week in paradise

Stonegarden harmoniously blends natural with modern convenience. The owners have thoughtfully designed the home with many little nooks to relax, take in the gorgeous view, and appreciate the birds, frogs and even a group of crabs getting a drink. World class beaches, snorkeling and great hiking are all close by. We rented the entire home, with our adult son staying in the lower apartment. WiFi was excellent, so we could all attend to work that came up. We cooked a lot, even grilling up some fish we caught that day! The property managers were so kind and attentive. Clearly, we had an amazing time at Stonegarden Cottage.

Awesome place to get away

We enjoyed a lovely week in April 2021, during the Covid pandemic - and it was the perfect place to get away from it all! We were looking for a place to be secluded from others, yet still enjoy the beauty of the islands and this place fit the bill. We are a family of 5, and we used both levels of the house - our oldest (college-age) daughter slept in the lower level apartment. The cottage contained everything we needed and was quite comfortable. The view from the balcony was not to be beat! Coffee out there and breakfast at the table overlooking Coral Bay were our favorite moments. Of course, we had fun exploring the surrounding paths and gardens, as well as listening to the constant din of chickens and watching for goats and donkeys! We visited different beaches each day and were able to eat (outside) at pretty much every restaurant in Coral Bay. We thought driving the rugged roads of St. John was an adventure! Do not let the steep road scare you off - it isn't as bad as it looks - the trickiest part is making the turn into the driveway. We highly recommend Stonegarden Cottage!

Beautiful home on St. John

This home is lovely, the location is great and the view from the house is amazing. The property managers were extremely helpful during check in and answered questions during our visit too. Highly recommend!

Beautiful view and super comfortable

We loved the location of Stonegarden Cottage. It was centrally located to all of the beaches we wanted to visit and had a beautiful view of Coral Bay. It was so convenient to go back to the house and have a siesta everyday. The house was perfect for our large family and everyone slept great! We loved cooking dinner for our family in the kitchen and on the grill.

Loved the Stay

Had a fantastic stay at this property. Set up well for our family of 4, well equipped and a great home base on the quieter side of the island! Would not hesitate to come back!!!... w/ a jeep of course ;)

Incredible view - unique grounds

It was a lovely home with an amazing view. We loved the view. Also the property grounds are lovely. Beautiful flowers, plants, wildlife, trails, etc. Important thing was that it does not have AC, just fans. Not too hot but it was a surprise. The road going up is very steep.

We work hard to create a beautiful retreat for nature lovers like yourselves. For readers, the cottage is on a mountainside overlooking the harbor, so the road is steep and the cooling breezes plentiful, creating the ideal situation for our guests to enjoy the sounds of nature, rather than be closed off in AC. (BTW, The Lower Level does have AC for the warmer months.) Tropical winters can be chilly up on the mountain, so we have down comforters on the bed to keep guests warm. This can be a surprise for those who come for the first time to St. John and stay at higher elevations. So glad you enjoyed your stay!
