Water + Sky USVI // Villa in Coral Bay with Outstanding Sunrise Views

Water + Sky is a 2BR/2.5BA villa at a 350 ft. elevation offering a private hot tub and unforgettable sunrise views over Coral Bay Harbor, East End and the BVI. Enjoy the cool Caribbean breeze from the private bedroom balcony, or the wrap-around porch on the main level!

The two level design offers both comfort and functionality with a main level great room, kitchen, living and dining area. Your 2 air conditioned bedrooms on the lower level each offer a private en-suite bathroom.

Enjoy the open concept living room with dining area and kitchen on the top floor with a wrap around deck on the ocean side, fitted with Adirondack chairs that provides ocean views and cool Caribbean breezes all day long. Head down the interior stairs to the 2 primary bedrooms directly across from each other. Each bedroom has an en suite bathroom with shower featuring a natural stone floor. Another private deck is in front of the 2 bedrooms and also offers seating with Adirondack chairs and a hammock.

Other things to note...
The road up to our home is bumpy and we can't control that. A 4x4 is suggested on St. John to enjoy all the beaches and hikes off the beaten path. The Coral Bay ocean view from our villa is spectacular, one of the best on Saint John and worth the climb. You’ll enjoy down island views to the East End and the BVI.

This is a great place to stay! We enjoyed the slower pace of the east end of the island. It's close to a lot of great beaches and other places to go hiking. The morning goat parade was a nice way to wake up. The road up to the house is rough, but worth it. We managed fine with a RAV4; you probably want more ground clearance than a regular car.

Great communication from the host. It’s a beautiful spacious vacation home with a perfect view of sunrise on the patio. The introduction to the facilities around the house is highly organized. You can charge your electronic devices everywhere around the house with the provided cords. No need to pack anything for the beach and ocean - there are snorkeling gears, fins, water shoes and beaching chairs in the house to borrow. The drive up the hill was a bit intimidating at first but gets easier each time. You just need a SUV and drive slowly. Overall the house is in a convenient location close to the beaches, grocery stores and restaurants.

Amazing view!!

This is the perfect place to enjoy a beautiful view over Coral Bay! You'll need a 4WD vehicle to get to the house and the location is a great base point to explore the island. The house had everything we needed for a perfect beach/snorkel trip including snorkel gear, beach chairs and coolers and beach towels. The kitchen has everything you need to cook or grill - and the jacuzzi was great for soaking after long hikes. The hosts were very communicative and helpful - and we would definitely stay here again!

The villa was perfect! The view was amazing, but the real winner of this property is what else you get included with your stay. The hosts are very kind and supply you with snorkel equipment, beach chairs, beach towels, coolers, etc. It was a luxury to have it provided and not having to think about packing or renting anything. They were excellent with communication and made sure we were well informed before arriving. The road up to the villa is a fun adventure - definitely rent a jeep! We highly recommend staying there for your visit to St. John.

Great week away

Property as described. Great views over Coral Bay! Host communication was great! Only small issues were screens were difficult to close on doors and no wifi for the week. Otherwise an incredible week and we would stay here again for sure. The drive up to the property requires a jeep but was fun :). Again, would recommend for sure

Amazing Views and Unforgettable Experience

We spent an amazing 4 nights at the villa. The drive up is very eventful but the views are absolutely worth the trip! The villa was just as described and met all of our expectations. Very clean and well equipped. We were so appreciative of the beach gear and loved the snorkeling equipment and binoculars, don't pass up the opportunity to put it to use you won't be disappointed. Coral Bay was a great location with several great restaurants at the bottom of hill. The beaches were an easy drive as well as Cruz Bay for more restaurant and bar options. Lastly the communication with the hosts was great. They kept in touch as we got close to our trip and made it clear they were available during our stay of necessary. We hope to be back soon!

Amazing Coral Bay Sunrise

The name of this villa, Water and Sky says it all. I could not imagine a home having a better view than Coral Bay's Sunrise. I am a morning person and I could not have chosen a more perfect villa. The home is in tip top shape and I had a hard time leaving the because it was so amazing. I bonded very well with the hammock! If you are looking for the perfect home with great customer service book Water & Sky. I know we will be back!

Fantastic views and relaxing sea breezes

We absolutely loved our stay at the Water & Sky villa in Coral Bay! The Villa was very well appointed with pretty much everything you could possibly need for a fun and relaxing vacation. We loved the open and breezy upstairs living/dinning/kitchen area. The view is truly spectacular. The beds were comfortable, water pressure in the showers was good, and the air conditioning in the bedrooms worked well. The porches facing the bay were lovely and inviting, although we didn’t spend very much time out there because it was a particularly windy week during our stay. We didn’t miss having AC in the upstairs living area at all because of the constant sea breezes. We found the drive up and down to/from the villa added an adventurous aspect to our stay. We knew about the steep and bumpy road beforehand and rented a jeep that handled it just fine.Tony and MaryAnn were very responsive and helpful before and throughout our stay. The information/guides they provide were well organized and detailed. We really appreciated that they had set up a person to meet us as we arrived into Coral Bay to lead us to the villa. That was such a thoughtful added touch we weren’t expecting. This was our first trip to St. John and we were so glad we chose this side of the island to stay in. It was way more chill than the Cruz Bay side with a few fun restaurants near by and only a 20 min drive either way to our favorite beaches.Thank you again to Tony and MaryAnn for opening up their lovely villa to u

Best Views in USVI! Great Home and Great Owners!

Wow, where to start! Let's start with booking. After booking the property, the owners were fantastic in communication with me. They were extremely prompt and went the extra mile with sharing lots of information about the area, things to do, etc. You can tell they are passionate about St. John and want to ensure their guests have an incredible experience. In addition, they take a lot of pride in their home. My wife and I always book VRBO's when we travel and to date, these are owners are the best we've rented from in the 10 years or so that we've been using VRBO. The views are incredible, you just have to see for yourself. I woke up around 545 am every morning just to brew coffee and sit on the balcony for an hour or so...just taking it all in. They house has everything you need....some plenty of beach chairs, to about 8 sets of snorkeling equipment along with fins....and its good equipment....not the 10 sets you can get at a Walmart. The house has 2 levels and each level has a balcony with plenty of seating. The upper level is your living room, dining area, and kitchen. It's a full kitchen.....with great cooking utensils, pots, pans that are really good quality. Full size fridge and dishwasher as well. They really have you covered here. In addition, there's also a half bath upstairs as well. The lower level has 2 bedrooms, 2 FULL baths, and a washer/dryer. The home has a great layout and it's perfect for a family! HIGHLY RECOMMEND! We will stay here again!

View and breeze to die for

Great covered space with a wonderful view over Coral Bay and beyond. Very comfortable beds with AC in the bedrooms. Main living area has 3 sliding glass doors to let in the constant breeze. No mosquitos! Is this place perfect? Of course not. But it's great! I've stayed all over STJ during the past 21 years... from scroungy plywood shacks to some of the most expensive properties on the island. Water & Sky is a charming villa with everything you need and an unbeatable deck with that awesome view. Now, let me tell you that the road leading up to the villa is only partially paved. It is totally safe. There are a few sections where you have to go slow to avoid bouncing too much. So what? You have to do the same thing when you drive to Great Lameshur Bay for snorkeling. So, if you see a review about the road being rough, take it with a grain of salt. I loved it, and got great service from employee Shamal when I had questions. Book it!!!

Paradise Found!

WOW! Where to begin! From early on when we booked our reservation at Water & Sky, the hosts, Tony and MaryAnn were in contact with us and remained there every step of the way! It's comforting to know that it's not just a rental company, it's the homeowners making sure that your questions are answered and your needs are met. They were a pleasure to work with! The house itself sits above Coral Bay with an AMAZING view of the harbor and islands beyond! We spent hours out on the decks just gazing out over the beauty of it all! Water & Sky is beautifully furnished (the couches are sooo comfortable) and incredibly well appointed. The kitchen has everything you could need (we cooked in most nights) to prepare a delicious meal! Bedrooms are a nice size and the beds were very comfortable. Thirsty towels were provided for showering! Speaking of showering, there was nice hot water and really, really good water pressure! The hot tub is just the icing on the cake! Sitting out in it in the evening, listening to the tree frogs sing is, well, sublime to put it mildly! There was a review that mentioned that the drive up the mountain was a challenge.....OK so you are in St. John which is mountainous by nature. One trip up the mountain to the house in our 4 wheel drive Jeep was enough to make us comfortable! Do not be afraid of the terrain!! You will be rewarded with a gorgeous home and a view that will stay in your mind's eye forever.....

Would absolutely stay again! Amazing view. Comfortable beds. Kitchen had everything we needed. So many extras with the snorkel gear, beach gear, saved us a lot of trouble renting or packing. Hot tub was a nice bonus after a day of swimming at the beach. Easy drive to so many beautiful beaches. Hosts were very helpful and knowledgeable. Great setup for a family of four (two parents, two teens). Coral bay is a chill town, very relaxing. Loved the surf club cantina. Definitely best to have a jeep or similar as the road up to the house is a bit rough, but this is true for most of St John and was not a problem, just adds to the ambience of the getaway. One tip, groceries in coral bay were spendy, we found that midway market was a better place to stock up. Can't wait to come back!

Thank you for considering Water + Sky for your St. John vacation! We are so happy to welcome you to our home.

This villa is a dream that was over 25 years in the making for our family. We live most of the year in the beauty of southern New Hampshire, and while we love it there, when the winds blow cold we have always sought out the warm waters of the Caribbean.

We first discovered St. John in the late 1990’s, and from then on it was our goal to get back whenever we could. We traveled multiple times before our children were born, and then again while they were growing up.

As a family, it wasn’t always easy to travel to the Caribbean, but somehow we always found a way back to St. John. Our children first experienced the beauty of sea life by snorkeling here, and we created many wonderful family memories hiking trails, kayaking and paddle boarding on these local beaches.

After decades of week-long stays and years of searching, we were finally able to find this villa and establish our own home on St. John. We are so happy to share it with you when we can’t be there to enjoy it ourselves. We hope you have a truly memorable adventure in the beautiful Virgin Islands!

Coral Bay offers just that, while still being close enough to beaches, trails, restaurant and shops to enjoy an active vacation. Positioned high in the mountains, we find the views from our decks to be the most relaxing and therapeutic part of our island adventure every time we are there.

Having vacationed on all parts of the island in the past, we fell in love with this villa when we stood on the deck for the first time and felt the never-ending ocean breezes. Not only was the beauty of the landscape captivating, the cooling winds of the Caribbean were peaceful and inviting.
