We enjoyed our stay here on this beach front property with our dogs. The fenced yard was secured. The area was quiet and peaceful during the off season and the host was attentive to responding to messages. We will certainly be staying here again in the future.

Playa Miramar - Beautiful beach

My spouse and I and our two wiener dogs totally enjoyed our stay at this house. There was plenty of room and easy, secure parking. The house was clean and comfortable and only steps from the beach. The beach was almost completely empty and there were lots of shells and wildlife to observe. It is a 20-25 minute drive to/from town but we appreciated the remoteness and planned accordingly. Our only advice to the property management would be to replace some of the pots and pans as they were pretty worn and also to have a slip prevention mat for the 2nd bathroom as it was worrisomely slippery. Neither were deal breakers. We definitely recommend and hope to come back.

Amazing Beach

This is our second stay at the mermaid house. Great beach right off a covered patio. Home w great views. Comfortable outdoor furniture. Beach is not crowded. We saw dolphins playing w a kayaker right in front of the house. The next day we enjoyed watching the largest squadron of pelicans I have ever seen feeding in the waters right in front of us.

Quiet romantic getaway

My husband and I started our trip on the Sandy Beach side of Rocky Point; with a bunch of friends, then we rented this house for the last three days for just us and our dog. This was exactly what we were looking for—quiet, private, clean, and safe. We brought our food and water, and never had to leave the house—and we didn’t want to leave. Although the drive to town is not bad. We were right on the ocean, with very few neighbors around. If you are looking for a serene, beautiful home—this is your spot! Our dog was able to come and it was a great house for this because we did not have to keep walking back to let the dog out. No strays around, and any of the few neighbors we saw were all very respectful. We spent almost the entire time sitting on the gorgeous patio, and we can’t wait to go back!

PERFECT!

Three blissful adults & a happy dog!! The pictures are spot on. Beds, house, patio are all comfy. It was the perfect serene trip. Get away from town center and relax, when you want to play in town, only an easy 20 minute drive. It was awesome to have both master bedrooms face the ocean!! Thank you for an amazing time~

Step from patio onto the beach!!

Beautiful views from at least 7 sliding glass doors lining the patio that is right on the beach. Views and beach access couldn’t be better. Our dogs loved running along the beach chasing birds and playing fetch. Home is cutely decorated and comfortable. We plan on coming back next year!!

Second Time Around

It had been five years since we stayed here, but the wait is worth it. The quiet and privacy of this place is unmistakable. There is room to hang inside and the covered space and short distance to this beach makes everything work. We spent five days here, and next year we want the full seven. This is a treasure

A wonderful peaceful and relaxing beach escape

Our week long stay was wonderful and peaceful and loved the beach. The house is wonderfully located and comfortable. It was perfect for our two couples. Kim kept us well informed and her prompt communication excellent. We appreciated Barney stopping by after we checked in to answer questions and make sure we were not in need of anything, the home is older and the bathrooms in need of updating but everything was very clean. There is no space to hang up clothes and shelf and drawer space was very limited as they were quite filled. That said it did not deter from anything and we would definitely return and highly recommend for two couples.

Magical Getaway

Highly recommend this enchanting home located in the quiet, tranquil community of Playa Miramar!!! The house was beautiful and was outfitted with everything you will need for a comfortable stay. The best word to describe our stay is magical - the beach front home with a front row seat to the ocean proved to be the perfect place to unwind, reset and relax. Kim was a lovely host and we look forward to returning soon!

Sweet Beach Retreat

Cool beach house fully equipped in a wonderful location. If you like to be away from the crowds in town, then this is a good place for you. AC worked well, the kitchen is fully stocked, and the beds are comfortable. But most importantly, the beach is so beautiful!

Lovely beach getaway

We enjoyed our short beach vacation very much. The ability to walk out, immediately be on the beach, and let our pup run was wonderful. The house is perfectly designed so both master rooms have access to the front patio and the beach… And views from the entire house are great. Every time I looked up the view of the sea would take my breath away! Kitchen is well stocked and most of the dishes/appliances are in a pretty good shape. We heeded the advice on the fridge not to overpack it and the fridge worked perfectly. Air conditioning units cooled really well and we even moved the dial up to 28C. I loved having an outdoors shower! Check-in was bit stressful because we didn’t come in until evening (our own fault, I would definitely suggest coming during the day) and the entry code didn’t work …However, we worked it out, so all is well that ends well. I think that the perfect capacity for this house is 4 people, ideally two couples. The couch does not open and rollaway beds (both frames and mattresses) are not in a good shape so our teen slept on the couch. That worked out OK for him, but might not be the best option for an adult. If you have 4+ people I would suggest working with the managers to rent one of their other homes. We rarely travel with our dog because most of the pet friendly houses are not in a good shape but this one was an exception and we were glad to stay here. Drive to the town was 40 minutes, but we did not go often because hanging out on the porch, walking on the beach, swimming and admiring dolphins and abundance of sea shells it’s way better than any town. We appreciated the manager being accommodating with our check out request. I would recommend this home for both, a family vacation or a romantic getaway.

Family Celebration

The house was as listed, views are amazing and the patio is the best area and is well equipped with seating and places to relax, play games and enjoy meals. Beds are comfy, kitchen was on of the best equipped we have ever seen and we have stayed all over the US. Kim was an amazing host she replied within minutes. Is a ways out of town but is worth the drive for the quietness and to have the beach to your self. Don't forget to stop at the Oyster Farm and enjoy the freshest Oysters you can get on the way to the house.

Perfect vacation…

My family, fur babies included, recently stayed at this beautiful stayed at this beautiful property. After a crazy year of work, kids sports, and life we needed some time to reset. The location of this property and accessibility to pristine beach did not disappoint. The property managers Kim and Barney were so responsive and kind from our booking to checking out. Thank you for an amazing experience for our entire family. We will be back!

Most beautiful beach

This is our 4th time out to this beach and it gets better every time. You nearly have it to yourself....warm water, soft sand and quiet star filled nights. The home sits directly on this slice of heaven and is well equipped. Views are gorgeous from every room. We grilled shrimp bought in town and had coffee on the sand watching the sunrise. Thanks for sharing your home with us, we loved every moment!
