We were confused when we arrived at this place-the entry next to parking spot doesn’t currently appear as in the photos. The gate/door are currently blue peeling paint, not brown. The lights, #8 tile and tile roof on the outbuilding are different than the photos. Did things change due to hurricane damage several years ago? Photos need updating.The day before arrival we realized that there had been a complaint about bedbugs a couple of months before. My wife is an entomologist and able to evaluate such a situation. We were pleased to see that there wasn’t an active infestation, but it was clear there had been BB’s (insect exoskeletons) there previously. We were most appalled by the filthy mattress/box spring in bedroom with ensuite bathroom ICK! BB mitigation101 recommends encapsulating/replacing mattress/boxsprings. Neither is done. My wife refused to sleep in that bedroom and slept on a futon in living room after purchasing bedding at Walmart.As other reviews mentioned: sketchy cleanliness, lack of basics like salt and pepper & rundown furniture are evident. Plus, non-working light in bedroom grubby throw pillows old bedding two bath towels per bathroom no washcloths/hand towels. Uncomfortable outside furniture. Handwritten tips envelope a turn off.It does have potential. Updated photos, a good clean up & replacing/renovating furniture would go a long way to improving the overall appeal. Its redeeming factor is the proximity to the beach/tide pools and closeness to town.

Beautiful location, beautiful beach, clear water. Lots of seabirds, quiet off-peak. The house is in dire need of renovation, the doors don't close properly, and there's no pressure in one of the bathrooms. Perfect for 4 people, but difficult to fit more around the dining table. The futon mattresses could use replacing. Pet friendly.

This place was perfect for what we wanted. It was peaceful, beautiful, great view and we enjoyed it so much. We stayed one more night we just couldn’t get ourselves to leave lol.. We will be back for sure! It was extremely hot and humid , but for a Phoenician, if I have a view of the ocean, I don’t care how hot it is. The AC was great and we stayed cold inside. This home was just like a beach cottage, it reminded me of the places we would stay in when I was a child. I loved it, so did my husband and my fur baby.

Bedbugs!!!

When we arrived we were happy. The view and oceanfront location were great. The house was old and not updated but the ocean made up for that until…we woke up at night in a bed swarming with bed bugs. It was the most disgusting thing! It was not just a few but a literal swarm! We thought about switching to the other bed but it was full of dog and human hair. The one positive was that the property manager moved us to another property and was very responsive to the situation. Both my partner and I have scars from bed bug bites. Besides the bedbugs the cleanliness of the property was sketchy at best. I thought with all of the great reviews this was a no brainer. Don’t stay here!!!

Wonderful location….needs some attention

The location of the home is spectacular! Right off the beach and close to the center of town but far enough away to be removed from the hustle and bustle. The stay has so much potential. We were disappointed in the cleanliness. The sponges left to wash dishes were used and disgusting. There were no pantry items, not even salt and pepper, no wine bottle opener….we had to borrow from the neighbors. The soap offered for showers and hand washing was so watered down it was ineffective and useless. We found many dead cockroaches at the home. The BBQ handle was broken, so had to use a towel to open/close to not burn your hand, the patio furniture in the front of the home was falling apart with exposed rusty screws creating a safety hazard. Overall, great location and home with so much potential….amazing view, the home and amenities need improvement. If that happens, we would give 5 apstars.

This property is in serious need of maintenance. Furniture is dirty and worn. One of bedroom closet doors is broken. Beer cans and trash in the front. Large cockroaches ( some dead) the only upside to this rental is location.

This property has a beautiful patio right on the beach and its location is close enough to the town of Rocky Point for quick trips but still quiet. We loved it

Short quick trip

Always love staying in this area. Quiet, not to many locals trying to sale stuff, friendly neighbors and close enough to town and far enough to be private. Only suggestion is to update the furniture, new cushions for the futons, new bar stools that are sturdy, and new sturdy patio chairs. Discard the broken ones. Patio furniture isn’t a large expense especially the type of patio chairs that are there. Didn’t realize one of the legs on a chair I sat in was broke and the chair collapsed on me while sitting in it. No injuries thank goodness. I brought extra chairs for this reason but my guests sat in them. I would have been embarrassed if one of them had fallen. Also the AC unit burnt out the last day there, luckily it was October and the place was able to cool down with windows and doors open. Thank heavens for no trespassers or wondering dogs. The property manager did send someone out a few hours later but after five hours of working on it, the unit wasn’t repaired properly. Needed more time for the repair And being our last night we did not want to walk around in our night clothes with four repair men in the unit. Would stay here again once the AC unit is repaired

Electricity went out

2am the first night we moved a futon outside to finish our nights rest due to exploded transformer on power pole, no power, no water, no electruc, no a/c, no fans. Finally restored at 6am only to go out again later that day for about 4 hours while the technicians replaced the unit. It was a nice place and beach area, thank fully

Property was clean and the beach was fantastic! Great place to stay with a family. Dated, but an overall good place to spend a long weekend. Well supplied overall. If you're planning to cook be sure to bring knives and Cutting board.

Decent enough for a beach stay

The place was clean but clearly has some deferred maintenance issues. Warning if you have mobility issues that getting in and out of either shower is very difficult. A grab bar would be helpful. The lack of simple things like a sponge to clean the dishes was a minor irritant as well as the need to bring toilet paper and paper towels. The price was fair but I really think it should include enough paper supplies for the time spent.

Beach Front

The setting was lovely, serene with nice beds and kitchen fully stocked. The beach view is outstanding, except for the dilapidated palm umbrella. However, the entire place was in disrepair. Broken lights, blinds, noisy fans, mangled coffee table, no window screens, dirty couches and pillows.

Great location, needs updating

Second year staying here. Great communication with Karen and easy check in/out. Had a major ant problem we battled from the moment we got there. Listing needs updating looks nothing like photographed. Home needs updating pretty bad. Tons of broken tiles, no back porch light like listed, switches and lights in master bath don't work. Second bedroom missing knobs on lamps, very minimal old bent silverware and knives. Just needs some love. And we ran out of water for half a day even with extreme minimal water usage. Overall great stay perfect location great communication kid friendly beautiful views and steps from the water. Would stay again.
