The house is huge with plenty of activites to do for all ages within the house. 20 min from Pinecrest Lake which was great for day trips!

Wonderful Stay – Clean, Cozy, and Family-Friendly!

Our stay at this property was fantastic! The home was spotless, which immediately made us feel comfortable. The kitchen was well-stocked with utensils, making it easy to prepare meals. We were especially impressed with the thoughtful touches for families — there were plenty of toys that kept our kids entertained throughout the stay. The heating system worked perfectly, keeping the home warm and cozy. Most importantly, we felt completely safe during our visit. We highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable, and family-friendly getaway!

Great host house

We had a wonderful time. Kitchen is fantastic for cooking. ( think it may have been a restaurant at some point.) Plenty of space and host very accommodating. Close to lake and skiing in winter.

Our group of 13 stayed here very comfortably. We had an issue with the heater and Craig, the host, responded quickly arranging for a repairman to come out on Christmas Day. We were lucky to get snow, too!

Great place, great location!

This is a lovely home right next to the 108 which makes it very convenient. It’s 15 mins to Black Oak casino and 25 mins to Dodge Ridge Ski resort. I have stayed in other places in the area and the WIFI was bad, but not here. The WIFI was excellent so the kids loved it. The house has lots of toys and things for babies and toddlers which was a big plus. There was lots of space for parking and plenty of room in the house. We had a great time and would stay here again.

Great property with ample space and excellent amenities The pool table, the toys, bunk beds, the big screen w/projector, and commercial kitchen were a big hit. The host communicates well and provides timely responses/follow up to questions and concerns.

Deceived and Dirty!

For starters, the property description mentioned having 3 baths when in fact it was only 2.5, placing a damper on showering. When we walked in the place, we were greeted by spider webs all throughout the house. We also spent the first hour cleaning and dusting and moping! The owner did a great job with pictures, because that is what sold us on choosing the property, but be fully aware that it is right off Hwy 108, so you will always hear traffic zooming by. I did reach out to the owner and expressed my concerns and asked for a partial refund, but he denied that request and only offered a credit. In my humble opinion, and had it been my rental I would have refunded cash back to make things right.

This home offered great space to hold and entertain a party of 13 guests, including 7 boys and girls under the age of 14. We enjoyed the professional kitchen, the pool table and huge TV in the living room, and the coziness of the upstairs family space. While we enjoyed our stay in general, the home has a few areas to improve. I wish there was a door to the master bathroom in the master bedroom to provide privacy. The home overall felt quite old, and we wished cleaning was done more thoroughly especially in the carpeted areas. The dryer needed some care and cleaning as well in the lint catcher area. I had to clean the lint remover bin and its holder and the dryer door with some wipes because it looked like it hasn't been cleaned for at least a month.

Nice property

We spent Christmas weekend at this property with 14 people. There was plenty of room, but other than the master bedroom, all of the beds were doubles or twins which made it difficult for adults to sleep. The kitchen was nice and well stocked. There was plenty of parking. We would stay here again. Craig was very easy to communicate with.

Family Vacation

Big roomy house, lots of toys and games for the grandkids. huge kitchen and dining room. Nice lawn area, patio and 3 decks. Close to the highway so lots of road noise in the morning.

Amazing property!

Owner was super helpful and responsive. We had a great time. So much for kids, they all loved it so much! The commercial kitchen was dream to cook in. Would definitely stay again!

BEST RENTAL!

We have rented cabins up in the Twain Harte/Strawberry Area for over 20 years, and this was hands down the VERY BEST we have ever rented. The home is very large, clean, beautifully decorated, and so well stocked with all sorts of extra touches! The kitchen was so great, I didn't even mind cooking on our vacations:) Craig was the best communicator and his directions and instructions pre check in were so helpful. We also had a few questions once we arrived and he was so quick to respond. We will absolutely be back, we can stop looking at other rentals, we now have our FAVORITE!!!!

Family friendly property

Wonderful property to vacation with our young family and friends. Place had plenty of room to hangout inside and outside. Industrial kitchen is set up for you to easily cook meals for a large group. Projection TV was a hit for a family night movie. AC blew cool during the hot weather. Kids loved the bunk room! Definitely would recommend this property!

Family Reunion

This property was perfect for accommodating 13 family members for our first family reunion in two years. It also served as a great launching pad for day hikes in Yosemite, Pinecrest, along the Pacific Coast Trail, and others. The large kitchen and front porch were natural gathering places.

Lovely Historic Area

My three generation family stayed in this lovely home four days while visiting the Sonora area and a portion of our group traveling to the middle fork of American River for white water rafting. The home is well appointed, spacious with ample and comfortable sleeping areas, and an amazing kitchen. Wonderful toys and other child-friendly appointments were well thought out. The grandchildren had a blast! There is not any lawn or really any shaded area for most of the day to allow for playing in the yard, however. A group of all adults may not mind this so much. We had thought ahead, however, and brought a kiddie pool, setting it on the deck, which worked for some outdoor play time in our case. Since this home is located immediately off CA-108 there is a lot of road noise and heavier traffic pretty much at all hours, at least during the days we stayed. We also experienced, an extreme heat wave and sadly the AC was unable to cool the house sufficiently so we had to leave windows open and purchase a few fans to move the air around. Sleeping was a bit rough between the heat and large truck traffic noise. Under normal temperature conditions it would probably be less problematic. We had a lovely time and do recommend Seagraves Chalet. There is a lot of wonderful history in the area and this home is very centrally located.

Beautiful Cabin

The cabin was amazing. Unfortunately we were there during the biggest snow storm and lost power and ended the trip early. The owner was more than accommodating and stayed in contact with me thr entire time. He had the snow plow come out extra times. I wish we could have used the cabin for the whole trip. We will be going back next year!

Great location

Our family (+ the family dog) spent eight wonderful, peaceful days in MiWuk at this beautiful spacious home. We were fortunate to have 3 full days of snow and it was just what we were hoping for. We did miss having a wood fireplace in the home but loved all the other amenities it has to offer. Plus easy access to nearby markets and cafes. We had a lot of fun! TY

Great getaway with kids

Great place to get away with kids and close proximity to Dodge Ridge. My family of 6 and my sister and her 2 kids stayed for a long weekend, there was plenty of room for us all and the kids loved the bunk room and the pool table. Owners communication was excellent.

As a California natives, we purchased this property to enjoy with our family and friends, have a place to bring our children to and get other people to witness the amazing calmness and relaxation that the area demands.

We love the mountain lakes in the summer and Dodge Ridge and the snow park for inner tubing in the winter. Nowhere else compares to the beauty, plus the distance from most area's (bay area to name just one) is the closest for a day in the snow.

The large 1/3 acre allows for plenty of room outside of the massive home. The large deck off the front of the house is perfect for star gazing on clear summer nights.
