Wonderful Stay

We had a wonderful week at Duck-4! The house was perfect for our group of 9. The bedrooms and bathrooms were very spacious. Plus the top floor had plenty of space for us to be together but still feel spread out. The pool was very nice and the walk to the beach was very easy. We'd definitely stay there again!

Perfect family beach home

We had a terrific stay. The house is spacious and clean. We had 6 adults and 4 kids in our group and the house felt big enough for everyone. Beach is just a short walk away. Neighborhood is safe and quiet. Bring your own beach chairs and beach toys or plan to rent. Only complaint is that the bedrooms were very bright - curtains in some bedrooms only provide minimum shade.

The house was perfect for a beach trip. Quick walk to beach and pool was nice to come back to after the beach. I recommend renting bikes for the week. Less than 5 minute bike to shops and food.

You will not be disappointed! Amazing home

Absolutely perfect home. Immaculate. Recent remodel makes this home so high end, you won't want to leave. It was too cold to use the pool, but the yard and hot tub were great. Lots of decks to enjoy the outdoors & ocean breeze. Great neighborhood, quiet street and easy ocean access.

Great week

We loved the touchless check in process. The house is in a great location, a short walk to the beach and the neighborhood is on the south side of Duck which avoids a lot of the traffic. Our weather was fantastic, will recommend this house to other friends.

Close to the beach, great location.

This was our first time staying in the southern part of Duck. The house was well equipped and had all the amenities we needed. Each bedroom basically has their own full bathroom and plenty of space for our group. The only downfall was that the sun went behind the house by 3/4pm so pool hours were limited because of how early in the season we came. I would absolutely come back again though. It was a great trip!

Just right!

Field of Dreams was a wonderful place for our little group of two families. The pool was enclosed, which we so appreciated since we have littles. The walk to the beach was so short! And not uphill! It was a breeze to come back and forth during the day. The ice machine was a hit, we had cold water bottles every day all day. And the kitchen was great - lots of counter space, a double oven, some empty cupboards to put food in, one of the best we've stayed in. Thanks for a lovely stay!

Duck 4- Field of Dreams - 2nd year

This is the 2nd time our family has stayed at this property. It's easy to walk to the beach, the pool is shaded in the afternoon (one of our favorite aspects). Beds are comfortable and there's plenty of room. The only negatives were the shower doors, they need to be replaced in a couple of bathrooms. The kitchen is perfectly laid out and there are 2 ovens and 3 sinks and an ice maker. All of these things were important to our group. We hope to return to this house again.

Everyone enjoyed their stay at Field of Dreams this past week. The house was very comfortable and accommodated our needs well. We will definitely consider returning to this home next year. The access to the beach was great and we loved that the pool area faced east so it was shaded by early afternoon into the evening. We would recommend replacing the dishwasher and kitchen refrigerator. The double ovens were great and we loved the stovetop (once we figured it out). Beautiful, very cozy home. Service by Shoreline OBX was good and we had no serious issues.

Loved the House!

We loved this house! The kitchen was amazing and huge! One of the nicest we've had in a rental with extra space for groceries. The ice-maker was a great touch, too. Everyone had their own bathroom, and there was plenty of space for all thirteen of us to hang out. The walk to the beach was short and we appreciated some of the extra beach chairs at the house. The pool and hot tub were also great to have! The only downside, which is true at most OBX houses, is we wish the bedrooms had room-darkening blinds for the days we didn't want to see the sunrise. We will definitely consider this house again!

First week in September 2024 at Field of Dreams

This was our 4th year of spending a week in Duck at Field of Dreams -- so we are repeat customers. So much of this beautiful house fits our family needs that we keep coming back! The renovation is wonderful -- everything completed is an upgrade! Even though the beach weather was not ideal for most of the week (turbulent surf and extremely high winds), the family enjoyed being at the beach and made the most of it. My grandchildren now call this "our beach house" for the week we are there -- and we are building memories that I expect they will tell their children and show the pictures and videos. The house is great, we love the Duck area, and look forward to more vacations there! Thanks for helping us make lasting memories.

The home was beautiful. A great location and only a short walk to the beach access. We loved the open concept floor plan and the fantastic kitchen. There are a couple things that could have made it better: 1. There is a spider problem in the den area. The two teen girls staying there were constantly kitting spiders.....and sometimes they were in their beds. The other den problem is when it rains hard, water comes in under the back door and makes the carpet wet. 2. We did not see any horseshoe pit as described. It would be nice to have that or another outdoor game, such as Corn Hole, available.

Spacious beach house

The location of the house was great, close to the beach and “downtown” for shopping and eating. There was more room in the house than I thought, all the bedrooms had plenty of space. There were lots of beach chairs, boogie boards and umbrellas! We all agreed that this house was definitely a house we would be coming back to. We have stayed in different houses in both Duck and Corolla but this one was our favorite! I do have one complaint-the lock on a couple of the doors were broken (the button you push to lock the door-was broken inside the door) it made opening those doors difficult. We had to turn the knobs several times before the latch would recess. Small complaint but worth mentioning. Won’t stop us from coming back though.

Nice house that needs some love

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house is lovely but obviously not owned privataly because the lack of a personal touch is obvious. We enjoyed our stay but thought the house was not very clean. The cleaning service that must take care of the house only surface cleans and so ........there is a lot of deeper cleaning that doesn't get done. Too bad because over time the house will only get worse.

What a fantastic beach week for our family! The weather was great (rainy one day). The house layout is excellent with most rooms having their own bathroom. House is well equipped with all necessary cooking and entertainment items and the pool and hot tubs were well used. The close proximity to the beach access was as advertised and made for easy transport even with young children and lots of "stuff." Overall -- loved the house and our memorable September week in Duck 2021!

Great place for family fun and relaxation!

Our group had a wonderful time staying here. The house was a perfect size for our group of 15 ranging in age from 4 to 40s. It is a quick walk to the beach. The kitchen was great for cooking great family-style meals. We had movie nights and game nights. It's a quick drive to town with cute shops and places to rent outdoor equipment. For the few issues we encountered, the property manager responded and acted within 2 hours which was very impressive. Overall, a great stay!!!

Duck vacay At Field of Dreams

The property is really nice and accommodating!! We had a wonderful stay there and would def go back. Almost All the rooms Have their own full bathrooms and the one that did not had a full bathroom in main hall on that floor. The pool and hot tub area is wonderful, spacious deck and the pool and hot tub themselves were Great. Downside is pool was not heated and going when we did last wknd in May we also had an abnormally cold week so it made it difficult to go swimming...hot tub came in handy. Only downside with that was the cover to hot tub is falling apart so all these blue plastic flecks were all over inside the water and would be all over our bodies when we got out. Easy fix is hot tub just could use a new cover. Didn’t affect us going in at all though. The location to the beach access is amazing. Maybe a 2-3min walk..super close and quick. Area really nice. On normal year would have access to the clubhouse and pool there. We did utilize the tennis courts at clubhouse area. Kitchen area has two tables is Large and open awesome and big. Also had a free standing ice maker which was nice. Kitchen had two sinks as well and then there is a separate bar area that also has a sink. However living space for such a big house was a little on smaller side. There is only one sectional couch and two chairs. Stairs are a bit wonky and have the triangular angled steps...can be a bit trecherous. Honestly though outside of providing the information For others...our family had an awesome Time here...very accommodating, they were really easy to work with. We were traveling with little ones and they made that easy. Lots of space and place was very clean. Loved the access to the decks at multiple levels from Multiple places. The pool is surrounded by a wooden fence/ guard which made having little ones there make us feel very comfortable. We would totally stay here again!! Awesome house thank you!!

We love Duck!

The house is lovely. The location is perfect. The biggest problem was the WiFi...weak and at times not working at all, even after resetting it a few times...just frustrating. Also, we had to rent a gas grill which we were not expecting. There was an infestation of big spiders on all levels outside!
