Nice place that's getting dated

Its a lovely location, and spacious enough for our family of four plus some local day guests. The beds were reasonably comfortable and the kitchen well equipped. The furnishings and fixtures are getting quite dated though, and the upstairs neighbor was quite loud. All in all we had a good stay, and the staff were very quick to respond after hours when we couldn't get in.

Could use a grill Master bathtub/shower is dangerous- extremely slippery and water from shower pools and then drops onto the step and floor recommend nonskid strips at very least as I consider it hazardous especially for kids or older adults maybe add a wall handle to assist getting and out of deep tub too there is some mold above same tub appliances are old internet and Roku works well

Had a great time staying at this property. The only constructive suggestion I would make is to have a map of the location of the property and access to the private beach. It was a lttle challenging to find when arriving in the dark and heavy rain.

We have always stayed in Sea Pines and really enjoyed our stay in Shipyard this trip. We booked last minute and were pleased with what we found. We booked pet friendly but didn't end up bringing our pup. It would have been very convenient to walk her from this condo if she had joined us. Kitchen was well stocked. Living room furniture could use some TLC but nothing major.

Loved shipyard. Outdated furniture, paper thin ceiling, lack of sleep from noise and dirty will be my memory of this unit! Beach is a mile away. Nice bike ride. Long walk.

The Shipyard is our favorite place to stay when visiting HHI. We visit 2-3 times a year. This was an extremely short trip, so we really didn’t base it on amenities. For a pet friendly place it was about what we expected. The property could use fresh paint and updated furniture, but other than that our stay was comfortable. The kitchen seems stocked with the basics if you plan on doing some cooking while there. Washer and dryer worked well too. Check in and Out was super easy as always with Vacasa. Would recommend and would stay again.

Overall not a bad place but the furnishings and interior is very tired and needs TLC. Bathrooms really need to be renovated and probably the kitchen too. Noise from the apartment above is also a deterrent.

We really liked the master bedroom. The villa as a whole was crowded with furniture and most everything quite dated. The ice trays were old and ready to break. We love Shipyards and have stayed in Shipyards many times over the past 20 years. Evian 120 gets the lowest score of any Shipyard Unit that we have vacationed in.

Not good at all. Smelled of dogs. Very musty. Stayed here last year and it has gone downhill. Rugs filthy. We had to buy carpet freshener. Dryer still not working. No comfortable chairs on patio; folding chairs don’t cut it. We love Evian and have booked for next year but not this unit. Deferred maintenance needs attention.

Great location customer service could use some improvement.

Great house a little out of date but very clean. The check in process was laborious. We had to get keys from a remote office drive to the property where we received car passes at a gate which were incorrectly dated. We were not informed of how to access amenities only given an “emergency line” to call for questions. This was bothersome as it was a short vacation and we spent a lot of time figuring things out. Then we had to check out by 10:00 am and return keys to remote office. The cleaning lady showed up at 9:30 and acted surprised when we told her we would be out inn15 minutes. Besides all this location was great with good beach access once we figured it all out.

very very disappointing

Left our unit to go shopping for kitchen pots and pans, sharp knives, and items that should have been there for general and practical use. booked the unit for two weeks, sub quality towels, 2 garbage bags, toilet tissue enough for one week. Had to cover kitchen garbage with cardboard as the container had no lid and the fleas and flies were everywhere. Very outdated kitchen and sense of a place that just was not clean as the floors, walls, etc showed little attention to their upkeep. Would not recommend this unit, we have stayed at evian for two weeks this past march and October of last year, all units surpassed this unit by a large margin.

Good. But not perfect

The location is good and furniture is comfortable. The showers are great! Pool is fun with abundance of available pool toys. The cooking pots and pans are dated and cheap. The one iron griddle was burnt on dirty and unusable to cook steaks. The coffee mugs were uninspiring and not enough. There are several small coffee cups. The scissors are very dull. A square table in the kitchen would fit better the current table and chairs take up a lot of kitchen space. A lot of good kid toys available. A box of tissues would have been nice. I learned one of the neighbors had been bit by a copperhead snake ! Venomous. Since my small boy dog likes to pee on bushes and grandchildren like to hunt for lizards this information of venomous snakes in the area would have been nice to have. The Vacasa people are friendly and knowledgeable.

Needs some TLC

I want to start off with saying, we love Shipyard and love the Evian location so when I was looking for VRBO's and this property came up I was excited. You can tell by the pictures the place is outdated which really is no problem but the place lacked in the cleanliness department. The condo very run down, the baseboards and walls are filthy and the couch, chair, and living room rug had dog hair all over it when we entered. The housekeepers clearly did not vacuum, as it was clear when we saw the dog hair everywhere and the master bedroom carpet had dirt all over the backdoor area. Thankfully, the place had a vacuum so we did a good once over before settling in. The ad says the fridge has an ice maker, which is needed for a beach vacation but it doesn't work so we had to buy a bag of ice as they only had two ice cube trays provided. The outdoor patio could be lovely but they provided a table and cheap folding chairs that were uncomfortable. Good luck if anyone is living above you as you won't sleep. We had a large family stay above us while we were there and you can hear every foot step and conversation they have. By our check out date we were happy to go and we only stayed for a few days. With how much we paid for the condo, it would have been nice if the owners showed a little TLC for their place. We will not stay here again.

Amazing Getaway

The condo had just what we needed with comfortable beds, kitchen equipment, privacy and dog friendly. Beach access was close and the beach was enjoyable.
