We could not have asked for a more perfect Egg Harbor stay! The house had everything you could need and the hosts went above and beyond with personal touches specific to our family. Vacation bliss

The is always clean and impeccable. They are the best hosts of any house i have stayed at. Beautiful country location but close to towns and water for activities. Everyone that stays there absolutely loves it.

Wonderful stay!

This was our second stay at Secret Meadow and it was just as wonderful as the first. We had four teens/tweens with us and they loved having their own space in the loft to hang out. Beautiful weather allowed for them to play football in the yard and we enjoyed lazy breakfasts in the beautiful kitchen. Susie was so helpful before and during the stay. Would highly recommend!

Escape to tranquility

Wonderful stay at this beautiful Secret Meadow. Close to town yet quiet and peaceful. Great opportunity for our family to “chill” and reconnect. Very clean, comfortable and well stocked with all we could have asked for. Blue Ribbon hosts!!

Great property!

Property and house amenities were great - had everything we needed and very comfortable. We were 7 ladies staying for a long weekend and that was perfect size. Location is great-close to egg harbor and easy to get to other towns. Had good intentions to use the firepit outback, but the rain and chilliness kept us inside playing games!

I loved being the last house on the road. It felt private and like you had your own little woods. We saw a falcon, a wild turkey, and deer. It's exactly what we were looking for.

We love everything about Susie's and John's VRBO. This is our second extended stay. +100 on what other reviewers stated. The place has now Starlink which worked well throughout our entire stay.

Loving Door County

The house was beautiful and very comfortable. It had all the amenities we could ask for. The location was just a very short drive into Egg Harbor town. Susie (the host) was especially sweet and accommodating. She even left a thoughtful welcome basket for the kids (ages 2 and 4) and the family. We will definitely be back. Thank you Susie for making our stay a wonderful and comfortable experience.

Beautiful home

The Secret Garden is a lovely home away from the traffic of Egg Harbor. We highly recommend this home. Susie has thought of everything to make your stay comfortable. She had a welcome gift and flowers waiting for us when we arrived. There were extra toiletries in the bathrooms in case something was forgotten. We cooked most of our meals at the house. The beds were very comfortable. We will come back.

Great quiet house for extended family with kids

Secret Meadow was a great home base for our week in Door County, and the owners were such sweet hosts. Not only was the house super clean and well-stocked, but the isolated location was great for our 6 & 7 year olds to get outside and catch bugs, stargaze at night, and make friends with a toad, deer and other backyard wildlife. The spot was still an easy drive into Egg Harbor's main drag and pretty central to reach other towns we went to on the peninsula. The owners were so thoughtful and even left us a gift basket with curated items for our kids (my son especially LOVED the bug net to chase butterflies) and they even thought of our baby nephew traveling with us. The separate spaces were a good fit for our family: grandparents could stay in their own room at night; my brother- and sister-in-law and their baby had their own suite to close off from the noise; and the loft upstairs with bunks was good for my family of 4 with kids. The kitchen was well stocked with everything from pans to bake cherry crisp in to a coffee maker with a selection of location coffee! (The only thing missing was a few plastic cups just because I don't trust my kids to drink from glass mason jars, but I didn't think to pack cups for them either.) The only time I needed to reach out to the owners, Susie got back promptly. Overall, we enjoyed our vacation and would absolutely come back.

Wonderful home and location

Secret Meadows is set up perfectly for family and friend gatherings. The homeowners thought of everything from offering a nice welcoming gift to having many extra amenities that many VRBOs do not offer. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you would need to cook at home or grill outside. The bedding was super comfortable, linens were soft and the hosts provide additional toiletries in case you forget something. We absolutely loved the location. You could walk or bike into Egg Harbor and the home is located a short drive from all of the other Door County towns that we love to visit. Beautiful place and we hope to be back soon. Thank you Plumbs!

Perfect Family Vacation Home

The home was beautiful, clean, updated and open. It was a great location, close to everything we did over the weekend including the Egg Harbor Pumpkin fest! The trees and wild flowers around the property were beautiful. And we received the perfect little anniversary and baby gifts from the hosts! It made for the perfect family vacation!

Girls Weekend

We are a group of ladies in our 40’s who book a couple trips a year to get together. This house was great! It was very clean, at a convenient location for all the local fall festivities in Door County but yet very private street and location . We had 8 ladies on this trip. The loft area was quite large and 4 of the ladies utilized it for sleeping. In our case, that meant that any of our early risers working in the kitchen would potential disturb the people sleeping in the loft area. It wasn’t a big issue but one to consider. Other than that, we had ample towels, bedding, toilet paper, etc to accommodate us all. It was drizzly most of the weekend so we didn’t get to use the fire pit but the homeowners left us extra wood since I had inquired about wood availability. It really was a beautiful location and we had an excellent experience, checking in and out was a breeze and the homeowners were available if we needed them but did not disturb us at all.

Highly recommend! Family Wedding

We stayed at this property for a family wedding. The location was great, very close to Egg Harbor, and not too far from Baileys Harbor. It was extremely clean, beautiful and very spacious! The bedding smelled amazing! It was the nicest rental property we have ever stayed at! Highly recommend staying at Secret Meadows!

Annual adult family vacation

We have been coming to Door County every year for the past 5 years. We LOVED this location, it’s quiet, super clean and best of all, it has 2 comfortable king size beds and 2 full bathrooms. The hospitality we received was fabulous and we will most definitely be back.
