Anniversary Retreat

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The property was perfect to celebrate our 33rd wedding anniversary. The Matador was clean and comfortable for our 4 day stay. Very quiet area made it nice for a good night's sleep. King bed was very comfortable. We rented a pontoon boat one day and cruised Lake LBJ. A fun afternoon in beautiful weather! Very well manicured lawns and overall an exceptional place to vacation. Will return again soon.

Log Country Cove is simply fabulous!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We booked several of the Log Cabins for a weekend wedding and getaway celebration for our daughter and her fiancé’s events. Included in our bookings were the Matador, the Manda Shae and the Rica Shae. These Log Cabins had everything we needed to set ourselves up for a great, relaxing weekend leading up to and after the wedding and reception. Just wonderful accommodations and we ALL really enjoyed them.

The personal beach area was great to relax at and perfect for our toddler grandson. It was our second year to stay in the cabin. The only improvement needed was the air conditioning in the downstairs/basement bedroom. The A/C did not cool the room adequately.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We rented the Matador for four days over the 2024 eclipse. It was clean, cozy, nicely appointed, and a fine place to stay. It's right on the water, pleasant other cabins nearby, and easy to get to. It's a wonderful place for four people. One consideration is that the second bedroom has its bath next to it, not en suite, but it didn't bother us. It was even a fine place to just hang out on a day with thunderstorms.

Log Country Cove Overall Review

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The cabin was nice. It was quiet for the most part. The second night the cabin to the south was loud until late into the night. The hiking trail was not maintained, and you could not make it out clearly. Log Country Cove needs a community pool as well. The priceing to rent boats, jet skis and golf carts is extremely expensive and ridiculous. They should at least include a golf cart in the cabin rental. There is no restaurant on site. Kingsland is 10 minutes if you want to shop, dine or drink. Overall, I would not choose this venue sgain.

Beware of The Matador!

I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall, the property was nice. However, this cabin is very dangerous. There are very low ceilings, especially is the basement bedroom. This room is not accessible from the main part of the cabin. There is no warnings or markings of the low clearance ceiling or door. My husband hit his head while walking out of the door. He is only 5 ft 10 in tall. He cut his head and sustained a concussion. They need to put up signs or warnings or something to help with this. There were also big bugs inside of the cabin.

The website was helpful but we also had a phone call in which the staff answered any additional questions before arrival. The cabin was better than expected. It easily slept our large family of 8. It was clean and in good condition. The property has many activities for the kids. We rented jet skis and paddle boards over several days and had a great experience. The kitchen was well equipped to cook meals. We have already booked our stay for next year. We are looking forward to returning.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was absolutely gorgeous, it was so peaceful to get away from the city for the weekend. I did however have 2 complaints. The first one was the open windows, I loved how the master room had curtains that allowed us to open and close at our convenience, however with a house next door being so close we weren’t able to have full privacy in the rest of the house. The windows didn’t have available blinds or curtains for us to close during the night so everyone could see us from the outside in the nighttime.The second thing was the jacuzzi, we ran the water to our suprise that it was filthy, we ran to the store to purchase cleaning supplies but the jets were just throwing out dirt... so it took away from us being able to enjoy a relaxing bath....Otherwise everything else was simply beautiful.
