Privado Excelente ubicación. Encantador de 2 dormitorios a 3 cuadras del océano en Kill Devil Hills. Mucho espacio de estacionamiento. A poca distancia de comida, tiendas y películas. Callejón sin salida y admite mascotas. Cocina bien surtida. Enorme patio trasero arbolado. Gran ducha exterior cerrada frío / calor. Camas de matrimonio en las dos habitaciones con literas también. Se proporcionan sábanas, pero traiga sus propias toallas y productos de papel. Wifi proporcionado, sin televisión. Aire acondicionado central. Parrilla a gas y mesa de picnic. Senderos para bicicletas hasta Wright Brothers Monument, muelle de pesca, cine, tiendas y comida muy cerca. Es perfecto para sus embarcaciones o equipo para exteriores. We had a wonderful time here! The house is comfortable and cozy. It is lovingly decorated and cared for. The kitchen is well stocked. The bunk room was perfect for our four kids, and they enjoyed the well stocked game cabinet. We loved all the hanging chairs in the space underneath. The location is convenient to the beach and shopping centers, along with the biking/walking path along the bay side. We can't wait to come back!

The "Mermaid's Purse" was a quaint and quiet stay. It was lovingly decorated and has easy access to all the areas' attractions. Rose is a gracious, generous and greagarious host who knows anything anybody would want to know about the Outer Banks. To give and example of her attentiveness: when we first got there we found a small hornets' nest under the stairs. I texted Rose and went food shopping. The nest was gone before we got back!

Rose was an absolute sweetheart! Her cottage was so adorable and def fit the beach vibes. The fresh eggs she left us were amazing! Pet friendly and our pupper loved running around the outdoor space. The one level with bedrooms was amazing for our little ones. We will def be back to the cottage . It’s in such a great area close by to everything.

Our family of five spent the week and absolutely loved it! Rose is a gracious hostess. From fresh eggs and cucumbers brought for our family to enjoy, to making sure we knew great places to eat, and beaches and activities to enjoy, she made sure our vacation was great. All our boys said the house was the best part of our stay, due to the variety of games she has available. We know where to stay if we are back in OBX!

Beach getaway

We stayed for three nights. The house was exactly what we were looking for. Check in couldn't have been easier, and communication with the host was great. We had a great time, the house had everything we needed and was very conveniently located. Will definitely book this place again

Good, quiet location with fun beach decor!

The location, on a quiet dead-end street, is conveniently located to grocery stores and restaurants. It is just a very short drive to the beach and locations of interest like Jockey Ridge State Park and the Wrights Bothers National Memorial and Museum. Lighthouses are just 30-45 minutes away. The cottage is perfect for families with comfortable beds, a variety of kitchen appliances, and roomy living room space. The front porch, as well as the sandy area under the house, provides space for outdoor dining and relaxing. This is an older beach home, that would benefit from a few updates; but overall it provides a clean space for a relaxful family vacation. Additionally, the host, Rose, lives nearby and will respond in a flash to any questions, or requests. We asked for additional wash cloths and she arrived within an hour with a large stack! Rose is very eager to make her guests have a wonderful stay. She is full of recomendations, helpful information, and cheer!

Wonderful Stay at a Cozy Cottage!

We had a fantastic stay at this charming two-bedroom cottage! It was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. The location was perfect — just a short walk to the beach, local shops, and a fun splash pad that the kids loved.Rose, the host, was absolutely wonderful — friendly, responsive, and incredibly accommodating. She made sure we had everything we needed and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable.We’d definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful spot near all the attractions!

Just Enough

This house is perfect for a couple’s get away. Conveniently located & close to everything.The house was clean, the kitchen was well equipped, and the deck is the perfect place to relax! We went to the beach, rode bikes, & cooked delicious meals in the kitchen. Don’t skip a duck donut!

This place was great! We were tucked at the end of the street with only 1 neighbor. But so close to the beach and the grocery store and Duck Donuts!

Loved it!

'The Mermaids Purse Cottage' was exactly what we needed! My 5 and 6 year old nieces were beside themselves with all the mermaid decor. The underside of the house was such a cool addition. Loved the outside shower and game closet. House was very clean. Thanks!

Family fun

Our family enjoyed our stay in OBX. The house was clean with plenty of cookie supplies, nice space under the house. Lots of towels provided by Rose which was great as the house does not have a washer and dryer. Rose was very helpful and quick to make a small repair on the outdoor shower.

Wonderful

Great place to stay with our little family! Its so hard to find a vacation home that also allows 2 large dogs so this place was perfect! Just off the main highway, but in a nice secluded area. Had all the amenities you could think, especially in the kitchen. The outdoor area was a perfect hang out spot for everyone! Rose checked in a few times to see if we needed anything and gave us plenty of information about things to do and places to go. Thank you so much, we enjoyed our stay!

Loved loved LOVED

We stayed with my husband, 2 kids (ages 7 & 10) our dogs and myself. It was such a lovely, quaint house. We enjoyed the outdoor shower and area underneath the house very much! Loved that it was on a dead end and it offered a little more privacy. The house was perfect and everything we needed for our family vacay! Rose was very easy and accommodating! Thank you Rose!

Mermaid Cottage

Perfect place for us, had all we needed and more; nautical deco that i wantrd to copy. Quiet neighborhood. Rose was a great host and gave us great recommendations for everything we asked. She's a long time local so she's in the know. Comfortable bed. If we return to OBX this is our go to place.

Fun and Relaxing!

Our family had such a special vacation here. Rose was very welcoming and accommodating! There is crosswalks to walk to the beach which worked out really well for us. Grocery close by and teens had freedom to walk to duck donuts and shopping. The place was clean and cozy…great AC for the heat! Loved under the deck and a nice quiet neighborhood. We would love to return here! Thank you Rose!

The Best Vacation Ever!

Wonderful , Wonderful place ! Cozy and charming! We had everything we needed in this beautiful cottage. The hostess was so kind to think through every single detail. It is so well decorated , with great taste. Space is so well organized, kitchen has everything you need and want for cooking. Every thing you need for the vacation at the beach , you get in this place. Very accommodating for two kids ( 2 years old and under) . Rose is a wonderful hostess! We would love to come if we can .

We have lived on the Outer Banks since 1975. The ocean called Wayne here to surf from Hampton Va. many years ago and we couldn't live anywhere else now. We raised two beautiful girls here, one still in high school off to college soon. I attended ECU , Special Ed. teacher. Wayne is a professional house painter.

We bought this home four years ago. I have remodeled it so my Mother and family would always have a place to stay close by. It's so secluded yet so close to everything we need. A little slice of heaven in the middle of town! We can show you how we really live life to the fullest here on our little sandbar we call home.
