Encuéntrate en el hermoso lago Junaluska rodeado de montañas y con todas las actividades y compras que se realizan en el área de Waynesville. A diez minutos del centro de Waynesville y Maggie Valley. 35 minutos para Cherokee.

We enjoyed our stay. The apt was very clean and comfortable and our host was so accessible. He answered our questions without any delay. Do note that the apt is at the bottom of a flight of stairs. We would come back again and experience summer here.

Host was welcoming and helpful; apartment was charming, well equipped and so clean! Location gave us a lake view and delightful back deck for soaking up beautiful fall weather in peace. A bonus was being able to bring our dog with us--her portable crate slid easily into the laundry room as well for bedtime. Thank, Larry, for a great stay!

We have a week long conference every year at Lake Junaluska. In searching for a place to stay within our price range and allows animals, I found the Starstorm Mountain apartment. Larry was great! Communicated well. The check-in process was easy. The apartment was very clean. It was a great place for us to come home after working our event. It’s not far from Stuart Auditorium where our meetings were held.

Modern apartment in a cozy setting

I grew up going to Lake Junaluska with my family so I am very familiar with the area. Starstorm Apt #2 was perfect for my husband and me. We appreciated the clean aesthetic and modern appliances. It was even prettier in person than the pictures. I love the mix of colors used in the decor -- light and airy, versus dark colors used in a lot of mountain homes. The place was immaculate. It is well taken care of. A variety of coffee was provided for the Keurig, basic seasonings for cooking, and cleaning supplies if needed. We cooked a lot of meals and had everything we needed in regards to pots, pans, and utensils. We loved spending time on the deck reading or playing games. We did not have issues with bugs. We had no issues with TV or Wi-Fi.Larry provided great communication before our arrival and checked in on us after a day or so to make sure we had everything we needed. The only confusing thing was that VRBO sent us an access code for the keypad that did not work. I quickly realized that Larry sent a message that included the actual access code.We loved our stay. It was comfortable, clean, and so peaceful. We definitely plan to come back and stay here agian!

We had a great time visiting. The apartment was downstairs and private, with it's own deck. We met the owner's son and he was able to handle a few request and answer some questions about the area.Neighborhood and residence was very quiet, and restful.Planning on staying again.

Lake Junaluska Getaway

Short three night visit. Tremendously enjoyed the property. Quite comfy,clean and easily accessible to all attractions,restaurants, and shopping. Especially enjoyed the walking path around the lake. Highly recommend.

Fall getaway

My husband and I just wanted a quick fall getaway and Junaluska is always a wonderful place. This property is just amazing. Great kitchen and porch. Also, we actually watched tv because of the baseball playoffs and reception was so good. Honestly, can’t wait to come back.

A Perfect Mountain Getaway

This property was absolutely perfect for our family of 4! Everything was as described. Larry was such a communicative host also. The place was super clean and well stocked (one paper towel roll, one roll of toilet paper, a few trash bags, dishwasher pods, K-cup coffees, a few tupperware, handsoaps for bathroom and kitchen, small thing of Dawn dish soap, body wash in shower, Febreeze in bathroom, etc) We will absolutely be back to this property again! One thing to note and this is not a bad thing - but if you sleep hot, there are not ceiling fans in the bedrooms so bring a small fan for the nightstand. Again, not a negative thing, just something to note for sleeping preference.

A nice getaway at the lake

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Lake Junaluska. The apartment was clean, spacious, and quiet. The owner is very responsive and made sure everything went smoothly for our stay. (He even mailed us a stuffed animal that our sone had left by mistake!). There are many things to do around the lake and golf course just across the street. Very convenient to Waynesville and Maggie Valley. A nice place to unwind and relax. Thanks for your hospitality!

The only view from the Starstorm Mountain apartment is from the deck. There is no view from inside the apartment. Unfortunately, it rained every day of our visit except the first day. We did enjoy the deck on that first day, but spent the remaining time in the cave. The information regarding the apartment stated that there is a fireplace. We looked for it expecting a woodburning or gas log fireplace. We finally discovered a fake fireplace in the cabinet under the TV. While it did put off some heat it certainly didn't rate as a fireplace! The apartment was big and comfortable. The unit was clean and well-stocked. Our main issue was with the lack of a view since that is our main reason for going to the mountains.

Excellent home away from home

The unit was immaculate when we arrived and very well stocked and decorated. It definitely exceeded expectations, and furthermore, was very conveniently located. The host is communicative and accommodating. The whole stay from check-in to check-out was seamless. It seems they have thought of everything! The whole family enjoyed this place! Highly recommend.

Amazing Stay!

Larry was amazing! We had a family emergency and he was very helpful and kind. He provided lots of information on the area, and the check-in/check-out process was easy. The place was comfortable, and clean. Exactly what we needed! Highly recommended.

Great location and apartment

The apartment is lovely! Walking distance to the lake. The town is still close to Asheville and the mountains. It was a bit drafty in winter, but the heat works well so we weren’t cold. Highly recommend!

Lake Stay

I am retired from a 50+ year banking and investment career. Originally from NC, but have lived and worked in Florida most of my life. We now live in Florida half the year where I enjoy vegetable gardening and investment strategy planning, and at Lake Junaluska the other half of the year. We have five children, three grand children and one great grand child! My brother, who lives near Lake Junaluska is a retired United Methodist Minister who had long encouraged my wife and me to buy a home there and experience the beauty and outdoor activities of the area. My wife, Rhonda is a retired Clinical Dietition who loves hiking.
It gives me great pleasure to host visiters and hear their happiness with our guest apartment. We are blessed with many five star reviews which we greatly appreciate. Our cleaning professional, Angie, is outstanding. We always hear great praise of how sparkling clean the apartment is. The apartment is set among a beautiful hardwood forest near the lake. It is quiet and very private. You will enjoy the peaceful and beautiful environment. The large Deck provides a view of the lake and includes seating, a dining set for four and a newer gas grill.

Aside from the very private and peaceful setting, our property is unique down to the fact that every thing you need is provided and is upscale, right down to the plush towels and Kuerig name brand coffee provided.
