The house we rented had a lock issue that the owner resoled pretty quickly. After getting in we found the place a mess, the cleaning crew forgot to clean up the property. The owner had another house 2 blocks away that was newer and nicer that he let us stay in. He also gave us an extra day to stay for all the troubles. Outstanding way to handle a big problem with a customer!! Five stars all the way!!

What an awesome place to stay

The entire process was epic from 1st communication with the Host straight thru the checkout and everything in between! Nice local and wonderful atmosphere.

A quiet retreat from life

I booked this place for three weeks hoping that it would be a quiet place for me to think. After the loss of my husband I needed peace and quiet. It was not a disappointment!. With the golf cart rental it was a short ride to the beach. My family arrived for a week and we had plenty of room for the eight of us. One one day the air conditioning system shut down but with a quick call to the owner within 30 minutes someone was there to fix it for us. The quickness of the fix had me impressed. And I appreciated his promptness at trying to fix the issue. The cabin was easy to find and close enough to places to eat and The Big Store so the location was perfect for me. The cabin was in a clean condition when I arrived. At this point in my life it was a sanctuary I needed. Loved the place!

Great time in Crystal city

House was in excellent place very nice. Only issues we had was could not get the TVs to work and the mattresses were probably wore out. It’s like sleeping in a taco.

Nice quiet neighborhood, easy walk to beach access.

This house is very roomy and in walking distance to the beach. We did a lot of fishing so we gad plenty of parking for our friends boat and two trucks. It does need some minor maintenance to make it perfect. Carpets and stained and walls could use a fresh coat of paint but over all it was good.

Best Host Ever!

When we arrived at Chompy's there was an AC problem with the house and our host immediately came to our rescue. (This is why I did not want to rate all of the items - we weren't there long enough to honestly comment on many of the things pertaining directly to Chompy's - but I couldn't submit the review without rating all of it). He sent Lisa (the housekeeper) to help us get relocated and the new location was absolutely beautiful. The new place was gulf front and much larger and at no extra charge to us. You can feel comfortable dealing with this host. And Lisa was AMAZING! She was friendly, very helpful and made us feel like family from the get go.

Very Relaxing

We had a wonderful time! The house was very comfortable! Our host, Matt, was very responsive when we had questions. We loved the location. The kitchen had everything we needed. We would highly recommend this place and definitely plan on coming back!

Excellent for family get together

House was nice and clean. Master bedroom bed was very comfortable and I had no complaints from family about the beds in the other rooms. Good location. Far enough from highway so not much highway noise and far enough from the beach so the late night parties at the beach dont cause loss of sleep. It is walking distance from the beach...Im 60 and walked to it but I definately would prefer using a golf cart. I will definitely stay at this location again.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

I stumbled onto this property a few years ago when a friend mentioned it to me. Once I stayed I was hooked! Hence the name Chompy's. I've caught sharks, redfish, trout, flounder, croaker, and a bunch of other fish out there but the best name I could think of was Chompy's to represent fishing in the area!
