Casa de montaña con impresionantes vistas de Pike's Peak en National Forest

The Summit es una casa nueva y personalizada rodeada por todos lados por Pike National Forest en Woodland Park, Colorado y ubicada dentro de una comunidad cerrada. ¡Tienes que mirar y escuchar duro para ver o escuchar a los vecinos! La casa se encuentra a poca distancia del embalse de Rampart ya solo 35 minutos de la Academia de la USAF. También estamos a 10 millas de la base de Pike's Peak y a 10 millas de The North Pole (Santa's Work Shop). Además, Woodland Park tiene un nuevo Centro Acuático que está a solo 8 kilómetros de distancia. Si bien podemos dormir 16, hay capacidad para muchos más con cargos adicionales.

The Summit ofrece vistas incomparables del pico de Pike desde un diseño escandinavo moderno. El plano de planta abierto en el piso superior permite que todos se mantengan conectados: inspírese cuando comulgue con la familia en las áreas de estar grandes, o recuerde con una copa de vino en una cocina gourmet de lujo. Para aquellos que desean un momento de tranquilidad, recuéstese con un libro sobre la cómoda silla en nuestro rincón de lectura, o disfrute de una conversación íntima en el bar de la planta baja. Los amantes de la música disfrutarán del gran piano de concierto de Baldwin; los amantes de las actividades al aire libre pueden relajarse con los muebles recuperados localmente en el patio de la planta baja, luego aprovechar nuestras dos terrazas: tomar el sol en la terraza privada del dormitorio principal, o asar a la parrilla y comer en la espaciosa terraza de la cocina.

El Summit tiene calefacción por suelo radiante y no tiene aire acondicionado ya que se encuentra a 8700 pies; así que, en un día cálido, simplemente abra las ventanas de gran tamaño si es necesario y disfrute de la brisa cruzada, acceda al ventilador del dormitorio principal o use varios mini ventiladores disponibles.

We booked this site as a venue to host our small wedding so that our party could stay there and it did not disappoint! Everyone immediately fell in love with the views and the house was beautiful. Unfortunately there were a couple issues with the houses drainage system, but even if we had known this in advance we still would have chosen this location as we were able to work around them. The hosts were also extremely responsive and accommodating, even offering reimbursement and different solutions to the issues we encountered. They are already actively working with experts to solve this so I would not let this deter anyone from booking this location! our weekend here was the most magical experience and all of our friends would love to book it again to relive our special day!

Mountain Top Paradise!

We are the Lawrence family, made up of 6: Elsa (7), Davis (5), Caius and Cruz (twin 3-year-olds), Mom (Eve), and Dad (Tyler). Tyler is an Assistant Principal and Eve is a Group Fitness Instructor/Trainer by day, and Professional Mom by day and night. Elsa is a little Mommy, and the boys are boys--dirty and destructive:)

We started our journey 3 years ago as homeowner-contractor-builders with a dream to build a home isolated from the city. Finally, after successes and failures, our dream home is complete. Adventure and exploration are important to our way of life. From hiking to rock climbing, paddle boarding to sledding, The Summit provides endless opportunities to experience and engage nature in its grandeur.

We started the building process with an essential purpose in mind, which was to share our home with others so that they might experience freedom. Freedom to experience nature without hesitation; freedom to be alone and quiet; freedom to reflect with loved ones; freedom to escape life's expectations; freedom to refresh and reset; freedom to have fun.

It is our hope, desire, and prayer that anyone who visits The Summit will find what they are looking for. We are honored and excited to provide an unforgettable experience.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

Eve grew up on this mountain, often hiking to the undeveloped property for prayer time. The Summit was at first a piece of land upon which the county said we'd never be able to build. Eve and I, before and during marriage, would often hike to The Summit with dreams of a future that felt palpable but sill impossible. For five years, family worked tirelessly with and against "the powers that be" to subdivide the land. And years later, dreams and prayers were actualized.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

We were unsure whether or not to put a TV in the upstairs great room, and after a week of living in the home, we realized that our Pike's Peak view was better than any hulu original or Netflix documentary. Beyond that, our favorite moments are sitting with the kids on the great-room couch, identifying forms and characters of the ever-changing clouds shaping Pike's Peak. The Summit has centered us to regain what's perhaps been lost in an overly-busy and technological-driven society: we value the importance of slowing down, embracing conversation, and appreciating what it means to be an old soul.
