Esta es una moderna casa de planta abierta más nueva con vista al mar desde todas las habitaciones. La suite principal tiene una cama king con una pared de vidrio que muestra una vista épica del océano con acceso directo a la piscina y la terraza. El baño adjunto también cuenta con una vista privada del océano en la cabina de ducha superior. Dos dormitorios adicionales también tienen camas king y el cuarto dormitorio tiene dos camas individuales. Como se mencionó, cada habitación tiene una vista completa del océano. Las habitaciones de arriba son atendidas por dos baños completos. En la planta baja, la sala de estar principal tiene una puerta de vidrio abierta de 30 pies de ancho que conduce a una terraza cubierta muy grande y una piscina infinita con vistas a la magnífica vista. En la terraza hay cómodos sofás y sillas junto con una mesa redonda para cenar al aire libre y socializar. La cocina es de concepto abierto y la isla se enfrenta a una gran mesa de comedor familiar y esa increíble vista al mar que se obtiene desde todas las habitaciones. La casa está ubicada en la cima de la colina en un camino privado, vigilado y sin salida. Esta vista panorámica permite que la brisa del océano fluya a través de la casa bien ventilada y la mantiene fresca durante todo el año. 2nd Time Renter Here and love it!

This is our second time renting Shangri La and love it! We have rented several times in Nosara and love the location of this house. Secure, clean, amazing view and we could not be happier here. Rented with 4 adults and two children.

Amazing Rental

We are a family of four (two adults/two kids) and had our in-laws with us. Amazing house, view, very safe and great communication with ownership. We are have rented in Nosara for many years and this has been our favorite house so far! Highly recommended!!!

Top-tier experience

This spacious house overlooking the Pacific Ocean exceeded our expectations! It was generously equipped with everything needed to cook and dine at its spacious dining table, bar, and outdoor lounging areas. We enjoyed the outdoor grill for cooking and countless hours in the clean vanishing horizon swimming pool. The bedrooms were each tastefully equipped with art and the highest quality bedding. The open air design combined with ocean breezes were perfect for all hours of the day, and the air conditioning in the bedrooms were amazing for deep sleep.The grounds were meticulously maintained and secure for our party of eight. It was comfortably away from the noise while still only five minutes away from the center of Nosara. Highly recommended!

A little disappointed

Unfortunately, only one bedroom had a bathroom. The 3 upstairs bedrooms share two bathrooms that are across the hall from the bedrooms. This is a little inconvenient if those rooms are being occupied by adults. It feels more like a dormitory on the second floor. floor. The two up

Festive in Nosara

My family and I had an enjoyable and comfortable stay at Steve and Bridgett's home. The location is perfect, situated in Huacas with stunning views of the sea. We arrived just in time for sunset and immediately felt at ease. Huacas is centrally located, just a short drive (less than 5 minutes) from Guiones beach, offering the perfect balance of being close to the action yet away from the hustle and bustle.The home is fully equipped with all the essentials, and we loved the thoughtful floor plan, featuring double master bedrooms on both the first and second floors, along with a bunk room ideal for children. The seamless indoor/outdoor living spaces made for wonderful evenings and peaceful mornings. The property is beautifully maintained, and we especially appreciated the ongoing care of the pool and grounds, particularly since there were a few windy nights. The property manager and housekeeper were both communicative and a pleasure to work with, making our stay even more enjoyable.As with all Nosara - getting around can be a little more challenging due to dirt roads ** recommend an SUV when staying at the house ***

Amazing Experience

We had an incredible stay here recently. This is an exceptional property with the best view of Guiones Beach there is. We very much preferred staying on the hill to being in town. Not only is the view much better, but you have a nice cool breeze in the morning and evening. It is also much quieter without all of the traffic in town. It was very easy to get to town and back with less than a 5 minute drive down the hill. The house itself is in great shape. Every room is is beautiful. We particularly enjoyed the outdoor kitchen where we cooked dinner a few times. The pool area is a great place to spend some time during during the warmest part of the day. Steve and Brigette were extremely responsive to us when we needed to reach out for anything. We will definitely be staying here again on our next trip back to the Nosara area.

Casa Shangri-la is aptly named so because it is the embodiment of a mystical harmonious earthly paradise. The Owners, Brigette and Steve, from the moment you book to after, are kind, gracious, and available to ensure you have all your questions and needs attended to. We enjoyed our time and extended our trip as most people often do in Nosara. The home does not feel like a rental property but a luxurious, well-designed, and thoughtful home. It has everything one would need on a journey to Nosara. Also, the caretakers are all gracious, helpful and assure you that while they are there, your privacy is maintained. It is truly one of the best homes in Nosara. The pictures don't do justice even though the pictures are amazing and very accurate. It is a special place we are grateful to have discovered the place. We had a truly memorable time. We look forward to returning one day and highly recommend that a family consider staying at Shangri-la. Don't think twice. It is just that!

Wonderful Luxury Home

For those who know, this property is the magic of Nosara in a nutshell. The indoor-outdoor living spaces are designed in such a way that you can have a complete immersion experience of jungle living while still feeling like you are at a Balinese Four Seasons hotel. My husband and I stayed here with our 4 children (ages 7, 6, 3, 1) for 2 weeks. Not only did the owners, Brigette and Steve send a beautiful welcome note in a WhatsApp group designed specifically for our stay, but were highly responsive to our questions about the town (where to go, what to do). This was in addition to a meticulously written Shangri-La handbook, that included all you needed to know to enjoy and navigate your stay. All in all, we likely spent more time in the backyard than in the house, taking full advantage of the awe-inspiring views of the Nosara horizon from the vantage point of either the luxurious infinity pool or the elegantly functional patio area. Housekeeping came twice a week (less if requested) and stayed most of the day to do the previous days’, plus any incoming, laundry, dishes, housecleaning. The gardener took care of the patio area and grounds. The pool company came in and out quickly once a week to care for the water quality. I am a hugely private person and never once felt uncomfortable around the respectful, diligent and discreet staff. As our stay was longer than the typical vacation, my husband and I were able to get into somewhat of a daily routine, including taking turns going to surf (my husband) in the early mornings and then yoga/tennis (for me) in the late mornings. The drive up the hill to the house (Las Huacas) only takes about 5 minutes. The mountain road is quite beautiful and meditative. We rented a Side by side from IQuad, and this daily drive in the open air became a cherished part of my mornings. In fact, on my last day in Nosara, I found myself putting the mountain drive near the top of the list of things that I would miss the most. All in all, Shangri-La is Nosara royalty. We had the most incredible experience and our kids felt the same. With accommodations that don’t leave you wanting for anything, there is much time and energy left for family bonding, true unwinding and complete rejuvenation of the body and soul. Would highly recommend this rental to anybody who asks.

Hidden Gem!

We were lucky to secure this home for our holiday break! The house is in a safe neighborhood of Nosara. The views are incredible, allowing our family amazing sunsets by the pool! It was clean and welcoming, it was the perfect fit for our family! We cannot wait to come back. Thank you!

Views that made memories

Very large villa style home. Comes with all the little visitors too! ;)...which we got used to. The pool and seating area outside looking out to Playa Guiones is the best view in all of the town. It does not get better than this. Everything functions well. Newer appliances. Served us well in our stay at the Shangrila. We will definitely be back!

Wonderful place

We (2 couples) stayed at Shangra La in March 2018 and all thought it was a wonderful place. The kitchen, dining and living area are contiguous and open by a set of folding glass doors that can be opened fully onto a covered veranda with ceiling fans just above the infinity pool tying the whole common area together. The view of the coast and ocean are magnificent. We also saw howler monkeys in the trees below on several occasions. It is very quiet, peaceful, and private. The furniture is comfortable and the air conditioning in the bedrooms makes for comfortable sleep on the hottest nights. Gaby, the property manager, was very friendly and helpful and any questions or problems with the house were dealt with promptly. If we returned to the area we would definitely stay in this delightful house again. The only negative is that it is a long way from the beach (10 minute drive to Guiones, the closest beach---too far to walk and long steep hill with a gravel road most of the way difficult for biking) so you definitely need a car. Our favorite beaches were Playa Garza and Playa Pelada as they had nice beachside restaurants for lunch or drinks though they are a bit longer drive. Playa Guiones has very little shade and no beachside restaurants, but is close to the town. it is the best surfing beach in the area

Fantastic - totally delivers

Spent 10 days here over christmas with my wife and three kids (ages 24/21/19). Absolutely loved it. The VRBO photos and description are 100% true to form. The house manager is always available and ready to help with any issues. Hope to return one day soon!

Shangri-La is the place!

If you're looking for an elegant getaway close to the beach towns of Guiones and Nosara but one that also offers you privacy and tranquility, Shangri-La is the place. We just returned from a week at Bill and Janine's beautiful home and our stay was nothing short of heavenly. Clean, simple, beautifully appointed and comfortable for couples, groups, or families, Shangri-La sits on a hill in a quiet, residential community and offers stunning views of the entire sweep of beautiful Playa Guiones. It's just a short drive to the nearby beaches, towns, and restaurants in the area. We surfed and explored by day then savored our retreat back to the cool, breezy comfort of Shangri-La in the afternoons. The house has a spacious, airy vibe and opens out onto a wide, shaded deck, infinity pool, and gardens overlooking the Pacific. We ate every meal outside. Shangri-La includes every amenity and still manages to feel like a part of the natural surroundings into which it has been carefully set. It doesn't get better than this. Amazing Property!!!!

My family stayed in this great house for two weeks during the 2013 Christmas holiday. First, the view is spectacular! It took our breath away. The house, bedrooms and main level are perfect for a family or 3 couples. The infinity edge pool is spectacular to relax in while watching an amazing sunset. The wildlife is abundant and Howler monkeys visit frequently in the neighboring trees. The furnishings and finishes are first class. More special than the house might be the setting and grounds. A perfectly manicured yard, fenced for children with an electric gate. The owner furnished an excellent information book to point you to all the best spots to see, dine, rent and shop in the area. The outdoor deck is huge and great for hanging out--an outdoor dining and seating area is large and comfortable with high-end outdoor furniture and gas grill. We highly recommend Shangri La for your stay.

Fantastic Getaway!

Our family stayed in this beautiful home for two weeks last summer, and we couldn't have chosen a better place. It is tastefully decorated, and perfect for a relaxing, private retreat. It is a convenient five minute drive from the beautiful seaside town of Playa Guiones, which has gorgeous beaches, and offers many outdoor activities such as quad bike tours and zip lining. There are also numerous superb restaurants, which are all within close driving distance. We were extremely comfortable, and our only regret was, that we couldn't stay longer!

What ever you decide, make sure you stay in Playa Guiones. This is the center of everything you have read about. Don't be fooled by places that are on the outskirts, like Garza, Peleda, Guiones Ridge, Ostional, or even the town center of Nosara itself which is actually inland. Our property is in Las Huacas, which is the Beverly Hills of Playa Guiones and overlooks the tranquil beach that this area is famous for. Check out the views. This is the real deal. No long lens compression shots that make things look closer than they really are. Another insight is that repeat visitors to Playa Guiones/Nosara begin to realize that being down in the jungle near the water is nice but not spectacular. After leaving the beach, do you want to be stuck in an enclosed compound staring at the walls? Its busy, noisy, and hot with mosquitos. Besides that, because of the environmental protection zone, with all beachside homes you have to walk anyway. Throw what you need into your mode of transport and drive right up to the sand. Ultimately way better than being down in the Jungle. Up on the hill there is a constant breeze, the sound of the sea and a 180 degree ocean view that is mesmerizing. The 5 minute ride down to beach on paved/dirt road is part of the adventure. You can travel via quad, golf cart, tuktuk driver or your own rental car. All available in town and a phone call away. We recommend quads with surf racks. This property has one of the very best views in the Nosara if not the best, and is tucked away, above all the bustle of a popular and noisy tourist destination. You can have the fun of the beach, enjoy all kinds of tropical activities as well as experience the laid back cool night life and then escape back to your private sanctuary to be serenaded by parrots, exotic birds, coati's or howler moneys as you lay on your private deck or pool, taking in the vista or the stars, relaxing and letting this amazing life envelope you in happiness.
