Cabina de alces frente al mar en el lago Colby, lago Saranac

Esta cabaña se encuentra a pasos de nuestra playa privada en Lake Colby y tiene su propio pozo de fuego afuera. Los inquilinos pueden usar cualquiera de nuestros seis barcos: un bote de remos, 2 kayaks y canoas de tamaño completo y un kayak para niños. El lago Colby es conocido por su excelente pesca. Lake Colby es parte de la gran comunidad del lago Saranac, que ofrece muchas atracciones turísticas, como senderismo, esquí en la nieve, tirolesas, golf y comida increíble. Esta cabaña también se encuentra a dos minutos a pie de la playa pública y del lanzamiento del barco.
La cabaña se encuentra a 5 minutos en automóvil de Mt Pisgah, donde amigos y familiares pueden disfrutar del esquí alpino y el snowboard.

Háganos saber si desea reservar más de una cabina. Tenemos otras 3 cabañas: Bear (2 camas, un baño), Fish (una cama, un baño) y Loon (una cama, un baño) disponibles para un grupo grande para disfrutar. Las 4 cabañas dormirían 20 personas.

El pueblo de Saranac Lake cuenta con maravillosos restaurantes, pubs y cafeterías. Colby Cabins está a aproximadamente 1 milla del monte. Great stay

It was a beautiful location and the owner made sure everything was available in case we forgot something. It was nice to be able to get in the car and drive to some great restaurants within a couple of minutes. My only negative comment is that the beds were very hard and uncomfortable.

An Adirondack gem

Loved everything about this spot. The cabin was warm, comfortable, and spotlessly clean. We were able to ride our snowmobiles across Lake Colby to the trail. Great accommodations, gorgeous kitchen, and beautiful views through the huge picture windows. Will definitely book again.

Amazing cottage, wonderful views, listened to a loon every morning. Would definitely return. Close to Lake Placid to finalize wedding plans. Actually bought an oil painting of the rowboat by a dock that reminded us of our view and stay.

Wonderful lakeside cabin

We had a lovely 3-day stay. The cabin is beautiful and the pictures represent it well. The picture window overlooking the lake is a glorious way to start a morning, and the deck and fire pit are wonderful ways to take in the lake in a quiet setting. We also enjoyed the beach a short walk away. The location is great- a mile or so outside of town and close to hiking trails. The kitchen was clean and fully outfitted to cook, and we took advantage of that a lot. We’d happily stay again.

What an amazing cabin! This cabin is exactly what we were looking for, for our weekend adventure! It is exactly as described with many little extra touches you don’t see if the photos. All beds are very comfortable. Easy check in and out with immediate contact with the owner when and if needed. Will definitely be staying here again!

Moose Cabin

The property was great. The cabin had everything that you could want.Colby lake was great for fishing. The only problem was the property was too close to RT 86. It certainly was not a quiet location. The light from the electric company on Rt 86 came on at 6:30 and were on all night.

Great cabin

The cabin was just as advertised. Very clean, well stocked with just about everything you would need. We cooked almost every night on the grill but the stove and oven were awesome. The only negative thing I can say is that you it is close to the main road so you definitely hear cars and close to the public beach which is suppose to close at 6pm but people were there every night and one night there was a lot of yelling and screaming late into the night. Overall the camp is great and very restful.

Peaceful Getaway

The cabin was just right…all the supplies you need, all the comfort you need, and all the activities to keep the family entertained. We loved being able to just step outside and enjoy the lake, whether fishing, boating, reading a book in the hammock, or a chilly night time fire. All of the necessities are within a 7-minute drive (groceries, pharmacy supplies, restaurants, gas, etc.), and in just a short 20-minute drive, you can be in Lake Placid. The owners were responsive to our questions and proved clear instructions for check-in and out, as well as clear instructions for how to use everything in the cabin and to access local resources. Would definitely stay again!

Saranac Lake Winter Carnival 2025

This was the first stay at the Cabins at Colby Lake for myself and a group of friends. I rented the Moose Cabin and loved it! I heard about this place from good friends who had stayed here a couple of years ago. We got in Thursday night for a 4 night stay, with skiing, Carnival fun in Saranac with the Parade, live music, the ice castle, and fireworks. We had camp fires lake side at night and wrapped the weekend with a Superbowl party! All in all a great winter trip. Would love to come back in the Summer too. The site was great and so close to our friends staying at this group on cabins which was very convenient to walk back and forth next door. Great communication with the property owner and easy check in and out. All in all a wonderful experience!

Beautiful view, peaceful surroundings

We had a nice time in the area. Cabin was well equipped. The view is awesome. You do get a little road noise when sitting outside, but the short distance to the road is nice if you want to do things in the area. Floors do slant, which made it a bit more difficult for my 74 and 83 year old parents. Cabin was a little dusty/cobwebby in the corners, but main areas were very clean and appealing. We loved all the toy and decorative moose in the cabin. (Note: If taxidermy bothers you, this isn't the place for you.)

Amazing Stay!!

Moose Cabin was the perfect getaway for me, my wife, and our pup! There are hundreds of hiking trails within a short driving distance, Lake Placid is super close, and not to mention the cabin itself! It's very spacious and has everything you need. Right on the lake, we were able to take full advantage of the shared canoes, and our personal fire pit, and hammock! 10/10 would recommend!

My husband and I live in the Hudson Valley, but our favorite place to relax and recreate is the Adirondacks. Our caretaker is up the road and you will be provided his cell number. We are also a phone call or text away.

During COVID-19 our staff are taking extra precautions to disinfect surfaces. We have Covid Checkout guidelines posted in each cabin.

We provide fresh towels and linens and in the summer months, beach towels and life jackets for guests. In warm weather months, guests can choose from two row boats, two canoes and 3 kayaks which are kept at our private beach.

This cabin is a two minute walk to the public beach and a one minute drive to the public boat launch. We do not allow check-in or check-out on Saturdays from the third week of June to the first week of September.
Let us know if you wish to book more than one cabin. We have 3 other cabins: Bear (2 bed one bath), Fish (one bed, one bath) and Loon (one bed, one bath) available for one large group to enjoy. All 4 cabins would sleep 18 people.

We do not allow check-in or check-out on Saturdays from the third week of June to the first week of September.

These cabins are on a beautiful lake where one can enjoy swimming or use of any of our 7 boats. A short drive away are excellent golf courses, some of the best hiking on the East Coast and great down hill skiing and snow boarding. Our cabins are insulated and heated year round and renters will enjoy the serenity of Lake Colby and the wonderful village of Saranac Lake any month of the year.
