Another stay at the songbird making the best memories with my family and my kids! Bianca and Diane never disappoint, they are honestly the best hosts we’ve dealt with. Such a cozy cabin and perfect location for the Christmas feels! Can’t wait until our next visit!

We had a wonderful time! Bianca was attentive and welcoming at every opportunity. The cabin was comfortable, clean, and thoughtfully decorated. It was when we got our car stuck (our fault) after dark on the road to the cabin that Bianca and team really won the day. Bianca sent her brother and two others to help in under 15 minutes. They had us safely moving again in unbelievably short amount of time. We were so humbled and grateful to them for their helpful generosity. We will stay here again, for sure (and take the curve on the road up the hill a little less tightly -- ha!).

We had a wonderful stay at the cabin. It had great views and was so comfy and cozy. We loved the fireplace and enjoyed having a fire almost every day we were there! It was the perfect place to be able to relax and enjoy our time away! The host was great and would get back to us quickly anytime we had questions. She checked in and made sure we had everything we needed. She was wonderful to work with.

This was an amazing long weekend. We arrived late Friday night so it was pitch black and being from Florida, the hills and mountains were a little intimating to drive at night. I am so glad we made it! It was worth it. The communication from the owner was incredible. She made sure that every aspect of the trip was great. She has an amazing little craft shop on the property that my mom shopped at. The view was breath taking. It was quiet and a great change of pass from our daily lives. 3 people stayed at the home and there was plenty of room for everyone to do their thing. It was clean and there were ample supplies. My only compliant is that we checked out on Monday, September 15th and it has been just over 10 days and I have not been refunded my security deposit which was quite large. We followed the instructions for check out and left the home clean. I have not been contacted about any issues or damage (which there was none). I will be checking in on that, but I will certainly stay there again.

We had a wonderful and relaxing stay at the Songbird cabin. The view was spectacular! We were able to see Grandfather mountain, Seven Devil’s, and Beech Mountain both days. At night there was little light pollution, so we could enjoy lots of stars and see the vague outline of the Milky Way. The cabin was clean and comfortable. Thank you for a wonderful vacation and hopefully we will get to return soon!

Second stay just as amazing as the first!

My wife and daughter and I stayed at this cabin back in February 2021, and decided to come back in January 2025. Our stay was just as amazing as the first stay! The host was quick to respond to any questions we had before and during our stay. The property was clean and the view from the deck is incredible! Since we had been before, we knew to stop for food well before arriving since it is in a remote location. We preferred this for privacy and a peaceful setting. The driveway was a little slippery with the ice, so 4wd came in handy. We got to see snow falling the first night we stayed and enjoyed our trip. The property is beautiful covered in a blanket of white. We can’t wait to come back again!

Amazing!

I can’t say enough positive things about our stay at Songbird! It was everything we dreamed of for our “Christmas Mountain Trip”. Bianca is the best host we have ever had. The songbird cabin is so cozy. We hoped for snow during our stay & we got it! The views were amazing! This is definitely our new favorite cabin and we are already planning our next trip!

This is a must see bucket list kinda thing!!!!!

On fairly short notice I wanted to escape to a beautiful place in the mountains with my dogs. I found Bianca‘s rental and fell in love with the views! The photos were just stunning (which DO NOT do it justice!). This cabin did not disappoint! It’s absolutely breathtaking! I got to enjoy the seclusion of being on the farm while also having a lot of things in nature to do. We hiked around, took the kayak out on the pond and the dogs enjoyed swimming! The evenings out on the deck are amazing. The WiFi and my ability to connect was perfect (given the seclusion you just never know). The cabin is fully equipped with everything we needed, and Bianca was an amazing host. I’m looking forward to my next visit. I have a feeling this is my new getaway spot for sure!

Perfect getaway

My wife and I stayed at the songbird cabin for the week to get away from the city and could not have picked a better place. The location is beautiful, quiet and only 30 mins from Boone. The cabin itself was cozy, comfortable, and clean. It has everything you need to grill outside on the deck and enjoy the views. It was a wonderful experience and we can't wait to come back.

My partner and I had a wonderful time at this lovely cabin. It's tucked away in the woods and very quiet. The view is amazing. We even got to see a little snow which made my trip.

A beautiful way to end and start the new year!

The Songbird will be on ny return list and had everything we needed and some. The pictures don’t do it justice. Beautiful cabin and property! We were close enough to town for what we needed but also secluded enough to enjoy quiet quality family time. Bianca and Diane were amazing and so accessible. So grateful for your hospitality and looking forward to the next one :)

Always a great visit

This was our fourth stay at Songbird Cabin and it was as lovely as ever. Could not ask for a more well equipped and clean cabin, it feels like a cabin without lacking any modern amenities or conveniences. Looking through the guestbook it is clear that we are not the only family that comes back year after year! Bianca was a great host, highly recommend a stay.

Perfect Cabin Getaway

My girlfriend and I stayed here for a weekend and will certainly plan a return visit soon! The host was very responsive and the cabin exceeded all of our expectations. Songbird Cabin was extremely clean, well stocked with all kitchen items, an abundance of firewood and even fire starters for the wood burning fireplace which we thoroughly enjoyed. The property owner/host really thought of everything to make their guests comfortable and it felt like our own private getaway for the weekend we were there. The view was incredible from the living/dining room and the huge deck. We loved how secluded the cabin was and how quiet the property was. As we pulled onto the dirt road to head up to the cabin we passed a beautiful Christmas tree farm and saw three deer near the pond. We plan to stay here again soon and look forward to our next Songbird Cabin experience!

Amazing view

This was our second time staying at Songbird Cabin. We came to see the Fall colors. The cabin is always clean and well maintained, we love the peace and quiet. You just can't beat the area or the views. We will be back!

Peaceful and welcoming

Upon arrival, we felt so welcomed. The basket of goodies, the hand written note and the dog treats were an extra special touch. The view was exceptional, and we loved walking around the property to the fish pond. We drove to Boone and back a couple of times, and the drive was easy and the scenery beautiful. Our only regret was that we couldnt stay longer!

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

The 26 ac. farm was at one time owned by my ancestors and when it came up for sale, my grandmother was blessed to be able to purchase it. She purchased the farm in 1986 and planted her first Christmas trees in the Spring. In about 1992 her late husband and herself opened the farm for choose and cut and invited people to visit the farm on weekends during Nov. and Dec. to pick out their perfect Christmas tree. Many of those customers often stated they would love to visit during other seasons. This planted the seed for a rental cabin. In 2000, after the passing of her husband in 1999, she decided it was time to put their dream into action and had Songbird Cabin built so that she could begin sharing her farm with others throughout the year.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

My grandmother (the property owner) chose to build Songbird cabin on a section of the farm that has the most beautiful long-range views. From the deck of the cabin, you can see the slopes of Ski Beech Mountain and you can see a view of Grandfather Mountain. Or you can just enjoy the view of the surrounding properties. One guest said that sitting on the deck and watching the clouds and the sky was like watching "God's paintbrush at work".
