A wonderful weekend getaway!

Our family of 5 had a great time! The kids loved the air hockey table. The house is right on the lake with lots of water fun - paddleboard, lily pad, etc.

Great family house on Lake of the Ozarks

Spent 6 wonderful days at this tremendous house on a quiet cove at about Mile 50 on Lake of the Ozarks. It is just as advertized. Great beds, plenty of room, great hosts, two paddleboards and a large lillypad to use. It was just fantastic. Hope we get to come stay there again before too long.

Great Quite Getaway

This was a great quite place to stay on the lake. The boat and jetski activity were not as bad as we thought it would be. The house was great and was able to fit out family of 8. The owner was wonderful and very helpful and accomidating. House easily was able to sleep 7 adults and an infant. Definitly recommend a stay!

Worst experience ever

My family has rented a house at the lake every summer for 10 years, this was by far the worst experience to date. The owner was rude and wouldn't return phone calls before we even arrived. The house was listed as a 5 bedrroom but was only 3 with a loft. It was dirty and in disrepair to the point of having safety issues i.e. smoke detectors open with no batteries, hole in living room floor, deck rail held together by ratchet straps, sketchy wiring to lights on dock. It is on a beautiful spot on the lake and the fishing was good.

She stated that she wanted to bring a few more people than 8 as requested 5 days before the reservation. When asked how many more the few grew to 7 more which would be 15 when the house clearly states max 10. She wanted to discuss this over the phone I told her there was nothing to discuss. A few grew to just about twice the original amount so the answer to increasing the head count was no. If I did not live next door then She would have brought these extra people down without telling me and cheat me out of revenue and most likely damage the property. She also broke the rules as they chain smoked on the deck and dock and smoking was allowed only around fire pit and burn barrel. There is no hole in the floor as she stated and the house is not dirty as we clean and wash each time. If it was dirty then she had every opportunity to point this out as I live next door, nothing was mention to me. She is mad because I would not allow more people than what was booked 5 days before the reservation and I would not discuss this over the phone when there was nothing to discuss. so she gives a bad review.

Great Quiet Relaxing Vacation

Peter and Gail were amazing hosts to us! The home fit the needs of our small group (2 families; 2 adults and 1 child each). We did not want to be near the busy part of the lake and this location was perfect. The dock is where we spent most of our time. Kids went swimming, jumping, fishing and we got to relax on the lounge chairs and watch. We cooked every meal but 2 in the home for an entire week and had what we needed to get the job done.

Trio to the Ozarks

The property manager was friendly and extremely helpful! The property was well maintained and clean. We were able to enjoy a wonderful view of the lake and the property manager let us use his dock to keep our boat. I will 100% recommend and/or return.

Spring fishing trip

We had a multi -generational spring fishing trip and we had plenty of room for our group. The younger members slept in the loft area (one bed and daybed in open area and 1 closed bedroom) that had 1/2 bath. The middle (entrance) level had 2 bedrooms, dining area, kitchen, living room with TV and full bath which worked well for the older folk. The lower level had a full bath, sitting area but no TV, game table, kitchen area but no refrigerator, and washer/ dryer. From the lower level to the dock was a gradual slope and my 89 yr old mother navigated the sidewalk well with a cane. The deck would have been wonderful if it hadn't rained so much but we were still able to get some good local fishing in without even going out to the main lake. Overall it was a good family vacation.

Ozarks Lake House

Great fit for our family needs. Lake access was perfect. Enjoyed the kayaks and paddleboarding. House on a nice Cove. Not a ton of boat traffic.

Very accommodating host!

The location, amenities, and other details are exactly as described and we enjoyed our stay at this property. The host was extremely accommodating and responsive. We had no issues reaching this property as he called us the day before to make sure we have the right directions. It was a very nice gesture! He even went above and beyond and offered us to use his new grill. Everything about this property and host was amazing! Thank you, Peter, for your amazing hospitability!

Perfect Family Getaway

The house was clean and large with more than enough room to accommodate bigger families. The lake and the location is beautiful. The hosts are easy to communicate with and our stay was fun, comfortable and full of great memories.

Quiet Cove

My friends and I just wanted a nice quiet weekend away from the city. The location of this house was great. Quiet cove and the dock was perfect for relaxing and swimming.

Disappointed

We had a great time on lake. Dissatisfied with house. Advertised the house had WiFi which we needed to have as family member needed to be able to download heart monitor daily but never could connect to. Definitely not a 5 bedroom unless you consider a broke down 1970’s pullout couch as a bedroom.

We have wifi I am on it now sending this message and WFH using it. She is upset because I address behavior issues when I saw them as I live next door. She brought SMUG POTS and and put them on the porch next to wood post. I told here that was not not save and they would have to be put out. A animal could nock over them and the house would burndown! Who brings a SUMG POT to light and place close to a house that you are renting? Unbelievable but it happen. She wanted to argue about putting them out but her son step in and said they would. Also told her no smoking on the dock. I guess this is really why she is disappointed.

Great value

We rented this property for what I would call a COVID cautious getaway. The house was just as pictured. It’s a bit dated, but I can assume that’s why it’s so affordable. We brought all our own food to stay out of public places, and the kitchen was a little unorganized. There’s a ton of utensils and Tupperware, but there’s so many things, it was challenging to find certain things. The pots are a little rough, so I’d recommend bringing your own. The dock, kayaks, paddle boards and the water is awesome! We rented a boat and docked it there and had a truly great time. It’s clean and the owner is right next door and answered any questions we had. There were 7 of us ranging in age from 11 to 65 and we all had a great trip!

Great place for a family vacation on the lake.

The owner is very responsive and helpful. We had an incredible trip with fabulous views out of the living room, kitchen and master. The beds are comfortable and the water was hot. :) The dock and water toys were the highlight of the trip. If you are looking for An affordable House and don’t mind things being outdated, this is a great option. I would recommend bringing a Kitchen sponge because the pots are old and food will stick. So you will really need to put some elbow grease into cleaning them. It does have the “grandmas house” smell due to being an older home. The internet is hit or miss, but it’s vacation! so it was nice to be disconnected.

I have been coming to the lake since 1960 at the same location. I do own the house right next to this house and am available on site with any issue. I am a veteran of the USCG. I love to ski and wakeboard. I do know the best places to go and have fun at the lake and can assist in helping you make your vacation the best ever.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

This house did belonged to my parents and it was our lake house as I was growing up. I have now purchased the house and own the property. The fireplace has rocks embedded from where we had camped when I was a kid. We first camped on this land and got water across the cove from a pump well that is still there. We then built this house. There is a lot of family history.

Knowledge of the lake and surrounding areas. Paddle boards are available. Private dock plenty of room for your boat. Boat ramp close by. Places near by that you can ski all day on glass water.
