¡Bienvenido a Dune Pointe! Esta espaciosa casa de 5 dormitorios y 3 baños está ubicada en lo alto de la duna, el lugar perfecto para disfrutar de todas las hermosas vistas del lago Michigan. Las grandes ventanas que dan al lago abarcan la longitud de la casa inundando las áreas de estar y comedor con abundante luz natural.

Un viaje rápido a través de la calle es todo lo que se necesita para tener la arena entre los dedos de los pies. Acomódese para un hermoso día en la playa, y cuando termine el día, dé las gracias por la caminata de 2 minutos a casa.

El piso principal de esta casa ofrece una gran cocina con capacidad para 10 personas, muchos asientos cómodos en la gran sala de estar para relajarse y disfrutar de la televisión inteligente, jugar juegos o relajarse junto a la chimenea de gas. Wonderful Stay!

The property was very convenient to the beach, was beautifully decorated, and well stocked with kitchen needs and beach towels. The paved backyard was great with a Wonderful table area for seating and enough chairs to sit 16 or more around the fire pit. Great home !

Amazing property

We stayed 5 nights in this house and loved it. The views of Lake Michigan were spectacular from the main living room. Often we would get up on the morning and drink coffee and stare at the water. The views are better than described in the listing and everyone loved them. The water access was just minutes from the house and we would walk down to the beach multiple times a day. The 8 of us had no problem with space. We loved our stay and will return next time we visit Michigan City.

Beautiful lakeside getaway

We thoroughly enjoyed our siblings and spouses getaway (8 of us) right across from Lake Michigan. The house is just as described and had lots of space for us to all meet together or to have smaller group conversations. The house is very clean and nicely decorated. The kitchen is well stocked. The upstairs deck is a wonderful spot to enjoy the sun setting over the lake. Gina was excellent at communication, both when making the booking and in the days leading up to the booking for any questions we had. We loved being able to walk on the beach or take a short drive to Indiana Dunes National Park for great hiking. We highly recommend this VRBO!

Lovely, large beach-side home

This property is beautiful, and just as described! We were staying with young children and appreciated that there were games, toys, and books for children to be found. I also appreciated that most outlet had the baby proof plastic covers! Also very much appreciate that sand toys, beach chairs, and beach towels are all available. For other guests who are wondering, there are public beach access points just across the street and a few houses down to both the right and the left (although the trail to the right is much flatter and the one we preferred). It is a bit of a walk down a sand path to get to the water, so we opted to walk back to the house for lunch rather than hauling a cooler with us (but that was partly because we were already carrying a 2-year old!). Gina was very communicative, and we highly recommend this property. We were a small group, but it would be great for a larger group, especially with the basement game room.

Great place! Spacious, tastefully decorated and very homey. Everything very clean and well stocked. Perfect location and we loved walking to the beach. Also close to many other beaches incl Indiana Dunes. Outdoor shower and multiple indoor showers (one very close to the back entrance) made clean up from the beach easier with several kids. No shortage of towels was helpful. Kitchen was great, everything needed was available. Comfy beds. Deck with hammock and plenty of outdoor furniture was a highlight. Would highly recommend and would certainly come back if/when visiting the area again.

Fun and lovely

This was our first time in this area and it was fabulous! The house was just across the street from a great beach! The house was gorgeous, spacious and well stocked with things like oil, spices and cooking gear. There were plenty of towels, fans, games, and the foosball and bumper pool were also big hits! The host was attentive and responsive and we (8 of us) all thoroughly enjoyed our stay!!

Beautiful house by the beach

We stayed there with fam and friends for Memorial Day weekend and we were very pleased with everything. The pictures don’t do justice, house is very cozy,clean,with good mattresses and very good sheets. The view from the terrace was worth it,saw a few sunsets that takes your breath away. The back area is perfect for grilling and chilling. Gina is wonderful in person and just one text away we needed anything,We would like to come back. Thanks for some wonderful memories!!!!

family vacation

It was a wonderful vacation. The house was perfect for us. Proximity to the beach was great. Nearby grocery. Lots of places to have privacy even within the house (like the deck, basement, outside seating area). Gina was a little hard to reach early on which made me nervous, but she had family issues, so understandable. She was very lovely and accommodating. None of us could figure out the lock, though, and we needed more than the code (i.e., turn the lock). It took a few of us to figure it out. But these are little glitches. The beds were comfortable. It really can't be beat for the value!

Pictures do not do this house justice!

We loved the house! It was so well decorated, clean and appointed with everything we needed and then some. The games and books for the kids were above and beyond, as were the beach furniture and toys. The photos don’t accurately show how spacious the living space is on the first floor. And the balcony on the second floor with fabulous lake views was a real treat! And access to the lake was easy and short. This is a Mid-Century Modern home built in 1948 that has been completely renovated. If you love architecture, it’s a treat to stay in this home. The challenge of the house is the 36 steps up to the house. It was not a problem for our group, but it could be an issue for others. Also, the back patio was damp and hard to use, although we enjoyed it on several evenings. All and all, a terrific home and a great beach vacation!

BEAUTIFUL VIEWS, CLOSE TO BEACH.INVITING HOME

First I would like to talk about all the positives. The house is an older home that has been beautifully remodeled and was clean, comfortable and well appointed. Our family of 6 adults and one toddler had plenty of room. The views from the large front windows and upstairs deck was beautiful. On the upstairs deck you had the lake view plus a bonus of all the beautiful trees in the back yard area . I liked feeling like I was sitting in the treetops. The queen beds were comfortable and linens felt luxurious. Very nice basement area with games and another nice sitting area with pull out sofa and the best bathroom in the house. The large backyard space was very nice with a sectional seating area and a table for 6. Now a few negatives. First because it is an older home it is not handicap accessible, which wasn't a problem except my daughter is ready to give birth in about a week or two and there are 32 steps to climb to get to the house. ( I guess this used to not be a problem as there was a drive that could be used to load and unload) We did not know this ahead of time. However, we were able to catch the owners of the drive and they allowed us to load up when we were ready to leave which was very gracious of them. The only other negative is that the back furniture needed cleaned and the area needed swept. Now I understand with all the trees and rain it is probably a challenge to keep it clean, yet it looked as though it had not been done recently. Gina was very pleasant and offered to assist us with things like restaurant reservations and activities but unfortunately I was not made aware of this extra service beforehand in time to utilize it. I would recommend travelers take advantage of it if you can as it can be difficult to get reservations for anything this time of year. We have been traveling to MC for Fathers Day for 5 years now and this was the first time we did not stay at Beachwalk. We did like the privacy and the ease of getting to the beach. Overall we loved the house and are thinking about returning next year if available.
