Contempla búhos, halcones, venados, magníficos amaneceres y puestas de sol desde este escondite en las colinas. Si eres lo suficientemente afortunado como para atrapar una mañana cuando llegan las nubes, ¡literalmente podrás alcanzarlas y tocarlas!

Extremadamente tranquilo y silencioso en el corazón del famoso Laurel Canyon, donde los músicos Joni Mitchell, The Doors, Crosby, Stills, Nash y Young, The Eagles, The Mamas & The Papas, Carole King, Sonny y Cher, The Byrds y muchos más que cultivaron El sonido de los años 60, amado y tocado.

Special getaway in Laurel canyon

Great studio perched on the canyon. Good kitchen, comfy bed, relaxing atmosphere. Yvette and Mick are fantastic hosts. The area has so much to offer. Sunrise over the canyon on our last morning was lovely.

Beauty, music and respite

What an amazing stay we had at Hilltopia. Two hardworking single mommas escaped for a weekend and found themselves recharging with an amazing view and the most gracious of hosts. Mick and Yvette were kind, thoughtful and able to guide our stay so that we could make the most of our time in Hollywood. I can’t wait to go back again!

We had such an incredible few days here. Yvette and Mick were fantastic hosts and gave us a very warm greeting upon our arrival. They were informative and attentive to all of our questions and needs yet also provided us with privacy. We could not have asked for better hosts. The space was open and light and airy and extremely comfortable. The views of Laurel Canyon and LA beyond upon entering the space takes your breath away. You just can't get enough balcony time with the awe of this location. In our short stay we did some very nice walks, ate at a few great restaurants, saw a lot of LA's amazing old architecture, and felt the significance of the history of Laurel Canyon. Whenever we return to vacation in LA we will most certainly try to book Yvette & Mick's magical retreat.

This was the fourth B&B we stayed at during our road trip from San Francisco to Los Angeles, and we’re so glad Hilltopia was our final stop—it truly was the proverbial cherry on the cake.From the start, Yvette and Mick were incredibly responsive, both before and during check-in. Yvette greeted us warmly and gave a quick tour of the property, which was a thoughtful touch. It was great to hear about the area from someone who actually lives there. Yvette also provided excellent recommendations for local spots and explained the house rules, which we appreciated.The unit itself is spacious and beautifully decorated. It felt like stepping back into the Laurel Canyon of the 1960s and 1970s, yet modern comforts like high-speed internet and heating kept everything balanced. The complimentary snacks and drinks were a nice gesture, even though we didn’t have much time to enjoy them because we were busy exploring.The view is absolutely stunning. Perched high in Laurel Canyon, it might feel a little daunting for some, but the payoff is spectacular—panoramic city views, the Hollywood sign, and even snow-capped mountains in the distance (which we glimpsed briefly before the rain set in).As for not having a TV in the room? Not an issue at all—you’ve got a super big screen right outside your window: the canyon, the city, and everything in between. It’s a view that will keep you entertained for hours. We also enjoyed listening to music on the Soundbox and playing the games provided by

Magnificent Stay

Mick was such an excellent host. I was in town celebrating my birthday, and he put together a nice “Happy Birthday” assortment for me. Super communicative, check-in was very easy. The place is only a few minutes outside of town, and you’re mostly separated from the main house, as the main deck is above where you stay. The views alone are worth it all — as incredible during the day as they are at night!

LA return tour

The views over Laurel Canyon are fantastic, and you're high enough to see mountain ranges in the distance. The Hollywood sign is visible (barely) and the apartment is lovely. Every detail has been well thought out and is very comfortable. From the hosts' warm greeting upon arrival and throughout, we enjoyed our stay. It was a great way to visit LA but stay out of the main hustle and bustle.

You have to stay here!

We had the most incredible time here. The views are spectacular; the space is cozy, beautifully decorated and bright; and the hosts were lovely people. Laurel Canyon is a special place. We cannot wait to come back.

Outstanding Property and Views!

Yvette and Mick make you feel at home in this top of the line property. The views are outstanding and watching the wildlife is a such a pleasure. It was a peaceful spot and the sunrises over LA were cinematic!

Great place, exactly as advertised, hosts couldn't have been nicer!

Yvette and Mick were the best hosts that we've had and we have stayed at many VRBOs. The view from the deck was incredible and the space beautifully decorated. Everything we needed was provided for us.

Exactly as pictured

We were in town for a quick visit and loved our stay in Laurel Canyon. The place was exactly as described. The space was welcoming and Yvette and Mick were communicative hosts. We would definitely recommend to others and will stay there again if we are in the LA area again. It is convenient to many main attractions.

Hilltopia was Wonderful!

Perfect stay at Hilltopia

This place is a dream! It is well located with easy access to Hollywood and Beverly Hills. The place is immaculate and even better than the listing photos. It is very quiet and the view is spectacular. Mick and Yvette were so welcoming and made us feel at home. I would strongly recommend this house to anybody and we will surely be back very soon.

Quiet, comfortable and lovely space!

We had a wonderful stay at Hilltopia while in town for a wedding at the Houdini Estate. The space was just as described in the hills of Laurel Canyon with a great view. Mick was very helpful on arrival showing us the space and getting our van parked for our stay and checking in via text throughout our stay. Ubering was the easy way to get around. The kitchen was well stocked, bathroom clean and bed super comfortable. Thanks!

Amazing

We have stayed in numerous Laurel Canyon homes and this is one of the best. Warmly welcomed by Mick, you could feel the love & pride for the space. It is beautifully decorated and has the most amazing views! The place is so clean, absolutely pristine. Small details that are so much appreciated; from the welcome basket to extra blankets to personalized coffee cups to go with the french press. Parking was easy and the early check in a bonus. We will be back!

Couldn't have been better!

Everything was perfect!! And it was SO clean. The photos are exactly how it looked in person and the views were even better! The hosts were incredibly kind and attentive without being invasive. They even saved us a parking spot right in front of the house while we were out one day when they realized the neighbors were having a party and their guest's cars were taking up all the parking on the street. You can't ask for better service than that. HIGHLY recommend!

Hilltopia Views

The studio is everything they advertise and more! It was very clean and had everything you would need. The views are even better than the photos show. The location was great for our trip as well. Even though it is attached to the hosts home it was VERY private. We never heard them. It was like having our own place in Laurel Canyon! The hosts were responsive but left us to ourselves, except to text me to suggest I look out the window at the amazing rainbow that was rising from the otherside of the canyon! If we return to LA, we will be staying here again!

Lovely Laurel Canyon getaway

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hilltopia. This is a special place tucked up in the canyon, but is amazingly accessible to the city. Experiencing Los Angeles from this home-away-from-home was a real treat. The views are even more spectacular than we expected. (If you're heights-averse, this is not the place for you.) We appreciated the attention to detail throughout. The furnishings are serene and comfortable. We were even greeted with a welcome basket of goodies. Mick & Yvette are friendly, gracious hosts who seem like cool people. They strike a nice balance of being nearby in case we needed anything while being hands-off during our stay. Wonderful experience!

Laurel Canyon is a very special place, and Mick and Yvette's Hilltopia is a very special haven in that very special place. The location is great, the views are beautiful, and the attention to detail and comfort are superior. Yvette and Mick go above and beyond with attention to detail that makes the guest feel welcome and valued. I particularly enjoyed the decor that reflects the vibe of the Canyon. The kitchen was well-stocked and featured premium cookware. Similarly, the bathroom was also well-stocked with a great array of amenities. The bed was super comfy - so important when staying away from home!. Don't miss rising early at least one morning to enjoy the sunrise over the Canyon. Also, be sure to take some walks around the neighborhood to enjoy the different views and the interesting mix of architecture. I very much enjoyed my stay at Hilltop and will definitely return.

Cozy Nest

I almost don't want to write a review because it feels like this place should be a secret. We wanted to have a getaway for our 20th wedding anniversary and Hilltopia turned out to be the perfect place. Yvette and Mick are warm, gracious, and attentive hosts. They even had a welcome bottle of sparkling wine for us and a cute little "Happy Anniversary" balloon. The property is a perfect, cozy little nest looking out over Laurel Canyon. I highly recommend curling up in bed with a cup of coffee and watching the sun rise over the hills. We loved watching the ravens swoop by every day (and the red tail hawks nesting nearby). Having Hilltopia as our home base to come back to after adventuring around to see local sites (the Gamble House in Pasadena, the Griffith Observatory, and, of course, the Rainbow Bar & Grill) was great. We finished up every day having a glass of wine and watching the light change and listening to the ravens call across the canyon (we even heard coyotes on our last night there). Visitors should be prepared for navigating narrow, winding roads (and should definitely rent a compact car). Otherwise, just be ready to relax and enjoy the view. We will definitely be staying again!

Stunning Vacation Spot

The apartment was immaculate. Very carefully put together with all new everything. View of the mountains and canyon were breathtaking. Hosts were wonderful people.
