Immaculate everywhere. Some hardware issues as missing door hinge and mystery light switches ( maybe bulb issues). Overall very easy to get around with a vehicle. Not walking distance to town. That was not an issue for us. Centrally located between Oak Bluffs and Vineyard Haven. 10 minutes either direction.

Stay in Oak Bluffs

We enjoyed our stay and the proximity to town! Please note that the AC unit does not sufficiently cool the home, so the upstairs rooms were a bit hot in 80 degree weather. There were lots of kitchen supplies but you may need whatever condiments you plan to use. There was also a grill.

Unsecured home

Our stay was marred by the fact that the entry codes and keys did not work. It took us an hour and two calls to guest services before we got into the house, after we discovered that the back door was not locked. A nice guy came at 10pm to unsuccessfully try to fix the back door locks. It remained unsecured the whole time we were there. The other doors/ locks were also inoperable from the outside so we were forced to use the unlockable back door for entrance. No one checked in with us the following days. The house was clean, nicely furnished and well located.

Safety and Pest Control Issues

Great location and quaint house but all furnishings and grille not built when arrived, and property manager came in and out at beginning of stay to begin build. Then after meeting us, he told us the property owner did not want him to continue build. After second day and manager use, the back door no longer closed all the way and despite many calls to VRBO and notes to property owner, no one returned to fix the door. That became a safety and pest control issue thereafter, as other service people continued to visit the house while we were there and bugs came into the kitchen. OB and the table tennis table were great, but that service experience wasn’t.

oak bluffs beauty

A beautiful, spacious property, 6 adults were very comfortable here. Gorgeous outdoor area for gathering, several porches and nice size kitchen table. The downstairs basement had just been finished so was not advertised and was a great surprise!!!! Property manager was quick to respond and was happy to help. Great overall experience!

The outdoor deck was lovely especially since we had great weather. However, we were eight adults and would have liked eight chairs for the dining room and the outside deck table. When we arrived there were only 6 dinner plates and 2 side plates. Again , not enough. We did have Ruth bring us replacements and on the whole we all enjoyed our stay.

Just Okay

Sunny Side Up is just as it is pictured and met our basic needs. The yard is massive and we even had a few bunnies visit throughout our stay. The porch was a great retreat as well. Several people in our party were able to work on the wifi at the same time. However, the wifi was spotty once you left the first floor or ventured outdoors. The house was clean and provided everything we needed to make it a home for the week. While our overall stay was good there are areas for improvement. We experienced quite a few ants around the kitchen to which our housekeeper provided outdoor ant traps for ME, the guest, to place around the house. Additionally, the grill was not clean upon arrival and it took a while to get assistance from Vacasa. Lastly, the outdoor trash and recycling began to overflow midweek. As to be expected with six adults under one roof. There was no information on trash collection nor did an attendant come to take care of it.

Great house on MV!

The house was better than the pictures! The porches have a lot of furniture to relax on. AC in every bedroom and in the living room. The ice machine in the freezer didn’t work and the WiFi was spotty but overall great experience staying here! Would recommend to others!
