¡Salt Creek Farmhouse es una casa de campo restaurada clásica de 1920, con 56 acres y todas las comodidades modernas! Conduzca durante 10 minutos a Nashville, camine por nuestro sendero, ase a la parrilla o relájese en el porche o alrededor del fogón. Tiene capacidad para seis personas; dos habitaciones, cada una con una cama de matrimonio y un sofá cama de tamaño completo en la sala de estar. The house is very cute and served our purpose as far as having a place to stay. However, when we arrived, the air conditioner had been turned off and it was extremely hot. We had to buy box fans to help keep the house cool as the upstairs part of the house remained hotter than the rest. The listing indicated there were several amenities like the ability to kayak and it being waterfront and they’re being a fire pit and they’re being hot tub and none of those accurate. It was the amenities that helped sell us on the place. We were very comfortable while we were there once we got the fans, but the amenities way of the place.

Thanks for being our guest but the air conditioner was on when you arrived, I was there the day before and set the thermostat myself. You happened to arrive on one of the hottest days ever in Indiana, the heat index was 105 degrees, and the air conditioner just couldn't keep up. Regarding kayaking, there is nothing on our listing that mentions kayaking at all. We do say that Salt Creek winds through our property along the hiking trail and that we have a nice and accessible "fishing hole", where guests catch all kinds of fish, but there's absolutely nothing about kayaking. Maybe you saw that on another hosts listing that you looked at. Regarding a hot tub, VRBO doesn't have the option for us to list our two person jetted Jacuzzi tub as accurately as we'd like, but in our description we specifically describe it as a two person Jacuzzi. Have a nice day and please consider coming again.

Very nice property out in the country yet just minutes away from Scenic Nashville Indiana. We enjoyed the well maintained trails on the property. Highly recommended for a weekend trip to Nashville.

Awesome property

We stayed over Thanksgiving weekend. We enjoyed the trail and my husband had a great time fishing! Brown County State Park is close and a must see there was also loads going on in town! The guest book with background on the property is a nice touch.

Great place and great host

Salt Creek Farm House was cozy, clean, and very well appointed. Location was great for busing family in Nashville. It was the perfect size for my friend and me and had a spacious kitchen with everything you could want. It was also well equipped to handle the snow we got over night (shovels, salt, broom). I look forward to staying there again in the future!

This is a beautiful property with lovely walking trails and very pet friendly. It's a rural farmhouse setting, and if you're lucky enough to have clear nighttime skies, the display of stars will be amazing. For us, the highlight of our trip was the kindness and graciousness of our host, Ken, who was accommodating to special needs in too many ways to enumerate and who went out of his way to help us in what turned out to be a time of crisis. I can't say enough about how kind he was but we would happily happily rent from him again.

Peaceful Get-a-way

Very comfortable restored farmhouse. Well equipped and well maintained. Secluded but not isolated. The walking trails throughout the property were outstanding, with scenic views of Salt Creek. Owner Ken is very responsive.

One word - RELAXING

My dog, Penny and I had a relaxing stay. The trails on the property were perfect for morning and evening walks. The large jetted bathtub was a great way to knock the dust off and wind down at the end of the day. The location is far enough out of town to be restful but close enough to everything I wanted to do. I would rent again.

Peaceful countryside

Nice property away from town. Enjoyed TC Steele home, Farmhouse Cafe, Nashville and the state park. Home and property had charm. We enjoyed learning the history of the farm. Furniture and mattresses are well loved and need an update.

Saltcreek Farm

Secluded Farm close to Nashville Indiana, there was no access whatsoever to the outbuildings highlighted in the listing . Property was clean and well equipped . There is no cable only internet streaming.

Hi Mike, Thanks for being our guests and i’m glad you found the farmhouse clean and well equipped. We only advertise that we are renting out the farmhouse and the outbuildings are locked for liability reasons. If you visit again I would be glad to show you inside the outbuildings, which include; the oldest general store in Brown County, a 100+ year old barn the inside of which we have fixed up and a summer kitchen. We have fiber optic Wi-Fi which is fast and has unlimited data capacity. Guests can sign in on their; Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime or other streaming access to watch movies, and YouTube is available free without the need for a subscription, as are the many free Roku TV channels guests can watch on the new 43 inch Smart TV in the living room Wishing you the best! Love the location and the era of the house.

A lovely home! We enjoyed the serenity and the beautiful home! It was very comfortable! We were disappointed that it isn’t a 3 bedroom house. It’s actually a 2 bedroom with a hideaway couch in the family room. Also, there is no hot tub as noted, it’s a jacuzzi in the bathroom. The cleanliness was lacking. Spider webs with their owners were in the corners of the downstairs bedroom. There was dust on all the furniture and baseboards.

VRBO doesn’t have an option for two bedrooms and a pullout couch, so we cannot describe it the way we would like to. The same applies to having a Jacuzzi, the only option VRBO offers is “hot tub.” In our description we accurately, describe both of these things. Regarding dust, etc., we will address that immediately.

Fun Getaway

Salt Creek Farm had everything that we needed, plus more. All directions were clear. We just walked in and were at home. Our special fondness was the setting. We enjoyed the fire pit for cooking Boy Scout style, the trails, the fishing hole where fish were plentiful, horseshoes, and the many spots for photographic adventures. The flocks of turkeys and paw paws(? )were new to us. I wrote more in your Guest Book in the living room. Thanks for the geode and suggesting we speak to Robin at the Gatesville General Store. Salt Creek farm was a great experience for 3 generations .

Charming historic farmhouse

We struggle with how to rate this property. On one hand this is a charming 100 year old farmhouse that we found upon arrival to be immaculately clean inside and out. The history of the property was very interesting and we enjoyed exploring the exterior buildings and grounds. The problem is the house sits very close to a two lane road. We found the daytime traffic ruined our ability to relax on the neat wrap around porch after our day of hiking and exploring BC. The traffic did settle down after 8-9 pm week days. Maybe this bothered us more than it would other people but we feel it’s worth mentioning. There were a couple other things that come with a home of this age but as stated it’s obvious there is pride in ownership here.

Perfect for our needs

Cute little place for a few mountain bikers to stay for a long weekend. Place was clean and comfortable. Plenty of hot water and water pressure in showers. Not for from town. Really quiet!
