A great place to stay!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We really enjoyed out stay at A Wrens Nest. It was clean, well stocked, thoughtfully furnished, and had great toys for the kids (2 and 6). We also appreciate the beach toys and the beach chairs, and it's an easy walk to the beach. The fridge is perfect, and the kitchen is well-stocked. Also -- Peter was so responsive and kind. All around a great week.

Wrens nest sisters getaway

Comfortable, clean, well stocked and spacious. Great getaway for us sisters. Disappointed at no beach access, as advertized. However the office was responsive and gave us easy options. Check out would be better w/out towels needing to be in the dryer prior to leaving.

No Beach Access, Beach House ?

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very unhappy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was cozy, clean and well equipped for us for the Thanksgiving week and weekend. We truly enjoyed our walks on the beach multiple times a day. Then, on Friday of Thanksgiving weekend, the house directly on the beach and on the path to the beach, disassembled the wooden stairs and the only access to the beach. They followed that with signs of no beach access and do not walk on the rocks. NO BEACH ACCESS. We felt unwelcomed and trapped. Why did we stay here ? Our five star rating went to a 2 star after I was told by the property owner the nearest access to the beach is a street off of the highwayand, a 1/2 mile walk. Obviously that should have been disclosed in some way but then again had I known that I would not have made a reservation here.

Would stay here again and again!

Love the location of this property. We’ve stayed here more than once. Close access to a long section of sandy beach; close to crabbing and Pacific Sourdough Bakery in Waldport, yet also well situated to enjoy Cape Perpetua and agate hunting south of Yachats. Great layout for families, and generally well-stocked. My only suggestion would be to install a shampoo/conditioner/soap dispenser in each shower for guests.

Awesome & Comfortable Beach house steps from the sand!

Loved this house. Perfect for our family of five. Great layout with the master upstairs and extra bedrooms on the ground floor.

Perfect long weekend getaway

The house was perfect for our family with 4 kids ages 1-16. Kitchen had everything we needed, the furniture and beds were all very comfortable, and everything was cleaned and well-maintained. Our little kids loved the big cabinet of toys! We asked about a pack and play and didn’t hear back so brought our own, but saw there was one in the closet. The house is just steps from the beach, which has easy access with some stairs. The location is secluded and quiet, which is just what we were looking for. Our only “complaint” is that there was no hatchet or lighter for starting a fire in the fire pit, but we picked one up. Otherwise, excellent stay and would love to return!

Quiet Retreat

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We've stayed at the Wren’s Nest before. It is a beautiful home. Our only issues with the home were probably related to the prior renters. And, there were a couple of things like outdoor lights going out (that we couldn’t reach) etc. Nothing that would reflect on the quality and care that the owners take. The important thing to know that Ocean Odyssey gets on any issues IMMEDIATELY. We wouldn’t go with anyone else when coming to Yachats.

Our 2nd Time at Wrens Nest

We stayed at Wrens Nest 2 years ago and absolutely loved it! We were so happy to return again this June, just as beautiful, comfortable, & homey as it was the first time. We prepared all of our own meals during the week in a kitchen that has pretty much everything you could need. We were cozy in our beds with the fresh ocean breeze coming thru the windows & lulled to sleep every night by the sounds of the surf. It is an easy access down to the beach where we enjoyed walking several times a day. And, on 2 nights we were able to view amazing sunsets from the bluff just above the beach. This is a great vacation rental house and we truly appreciate how clean everything is and all the details that make it comfortable. Wish we could have stayed longer!

A Lovely Long Weekend

We were pleasantly surprised by how much bigger this was than the pictures made it out to be. The house is clean and has all the amenities we needed. It is located in a nice quiet neighborhood with easy beach access. If we’re ever back in the area we’ll definitely stay again.

Comfortable and Clean

House had everything we needed to enjoy our family vacation, including lots of toys for the kids! We borrowed the sand toys and played at Agate Beach and Washburne Park, the ocean was very angry while we were there so trying to find accessible beach was a challenge. The beach access at the house is sketchy and we didn’t try it due to little ones. Open the windows in the master at night and you will be warm under fluffy duvet and fall asleep to soothing waves. Thanks for the wonderful home away from home!

Easy Beach Access

The home was immaculate and provided enough space for 4 adults and 1 child. All bed and bath linens were of a nice quality. There is a small market in Yachats, but it's probably best to make a stop in Florence to do your grocery shopping. The home is not oceanfront, but there are some ocean peek-a-views from some windows. The beach is a very short walk from the home.

Hardly anyone else there. The master suite is amazing! There are no blackout curtains so be aware. Driveway was pretty rough but I wasn't impossible. Overall, it was an amazing place to stay. We will definitely be staying here again.

Property was a great halfway point between Oregon Aquarium, Hatfield Marine Science Center and the Historic Bay front Pier to the North, with Lighthouses and scenic look outs from Newport south to Sea Lion Caves. Great area to explore. We were hoping to use the yard because we had an active toddler with us but it hadn't been cleaned up yet after the hard winter. Understandable.... My only disappointment was when I did try to contact the manager of the property before our trip, I never heard back. I was grateful we didn't have any problems where we needed an answer

Wonderful home with easy beach access

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Beautifully renovated beach house with all the amenities and comfortable places to sleep, eat, and relax. This place has everything. Only a couple of complaints take it down one star for us: 1) a fairly strong fishy smell. Maybe the prior renters cooked crabs? (I've seen a few listings which specifically instruct renters to have their fresh crab cooked by a local restaurant and not in the rental. Now maybe we know why?) 2) microfiber sheets: we find these impossibly uncomfortable - we brought our own :). Other than this, the house was wonderful. The privacy and airy views from the upstairs main bedroom and deck were dreamy. There were beach chairs, beach towels, a whisper-quiet washer/dryer, fully stocked kitchen, and the place was very clean. Would stay again.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed our stay at the Wren’s Nest, it was very comfortable house with room for everyone to spread out. The kitchen was well stocked and there were lots of board games to choose from. I think it’s important to point out though, that there is no beach access. I’m not sure what easy beach access the other reviewers referred to. I sent a text message asking about beach access on a Thursday night to the property management’s text line and never heard back. We walked to the end of the drive, where the last picture in the listing appears to show beach access, but there were signs saying “stay off our banks”, “climbing on our banks causes erosion”, and “no beach access in winter”, as well as some private property signs. After double checking the listing I realized the reviews I read said there was beach access, but the listing did not say there was beach access specifically. I do feel like that last picture was misleading though. If I had known there was no beach access, I would not have booked this rental. Also, the private road leading to the rental is horrible, we were lucky everyone in our party had an suv. Major deep potholes line the entire thing. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The home was beautiful and close to Waldport and Yachats. The only disappointment was there was no beach access.
