The home was exactly as pictured. The ocean view was amazing, we even saw whales! The yard was perfect for the dogs and the beach was lovely.

Loved this house and its location wonderful ocean view! Lovely and the layout was great! The only issues were that we couldn’t get the house warm and the shower door in one of the bathrooms fell off . Otherwise it’s wonderful.

The location is perfect and the house is cozy. The furnishings were comfortable. The fenced area was a plus for our dog to potty in.

Talk about beach access!

The house was just right as a beach house! Clean, comfortable, dog-friendly and perfect location!However, the stairs to the beach (a short set of stairs) has had major damage and repairs are needed. Next door has a good path!

Fire Escape

We rented this cottage last minute to escape fire evacuations in Douglas county. The setting is spectacular. We enjoyed morning and evening walks on the beach. The kitchen has everything you need for making meals. The price was right. Not a high end beach house but very nice and comfortable for three nights.

Nice stay at a quieter part of the coast

This oceanfront home had beautiful views. The home was spacious and was located in a less busy section of the Oregon Coast, which we liked. Although there were other homes all around, we didn’t really see anyone else, so it felt like we had the beachfront views to ourselves. On the downside, the stairs for beach access directly in front of the house were in disrepair and blocked off, which was mentioned in the listing, but a bummer nonetheless. And the beds were not the most comfortable; one bed in particular leaned to one side and sunk in the middle. The couple in that room didn’t sleep very well, unfortunately. Operating the washing machine was tricky initially, but we got it figured out without having to bother anyone with questions. The house could use a little bit of a refresh, but it was clean, which we appreciated. All things considered, we enjoyed our weekend and our stay.

Perfect beach getaway

Relaxing. Beautiful ocean views. Loved being able to walk out the back door and down to the beach, and this is stretch of beach is really nice. Spectacular sunsets. Location perfect. Few minutes from Yachats, Waldport, or Newport. Great time.

Pleasantly Suprised!

After booking(pretty last minute) I read the detailed reviews and was sure we made a huge mistake booking this place. Maybe it was because we went into it expecting the worst, but we were pleasantly surprised by this great beach home! We visited while the gorgeous hydrangea in the front of the home was in full bloom(mid July). The old carpet has been removed and replaced with tile in the home. The bedrooms have what looked to be brand new carpet in them. Everything was very clean. Yes, it has a bit of a musty smell at first, but not of dog or pet urine as older reviews had mentioned. The furniture is pretty old and could use updating.The kitchen is clean and has all the appliances you'll need. The only complaint is that the dining table is permanently sticky. It needs a good sanding and polyurethane finish. Maybe bring a small table cloth and that will take care of that. The bed mattresses are indeed old, but were clean and comfortable. The stairs down to the beach were still in disrepair, but we were able to hop up and down with no problem. The next door neighbors had no problem with us using theirs. The tv was hard to use, but we didn't mind. Overall, we had a wonderful visit. The beach is amazing and the view is sublime.

I really liked the house and view, especially it's proximity to Big Stump. It was in need of some winter maintenance, but noting major. I was a little disappointed that the garage and stair case out back were unaccessible , but there was beach access.

Sweet place, great location.

This place was perfect for our family as we were able to let the kiddo play on the beach without having g to go anywhere. The house was cute and a good size. Only thing I can say is there could be a bit more upkeep done to make for more comfort.

Relaxing time on the coast!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Very clean, roomy place to stay. Had an issue getting the key out of the lock box(a guest key wasn't available in the box), but was remedied by the company. Some of the hardware was missing off of drawers, etc. Overall, a great place to stay!

Reviewer Comments: The unit is in an excellent location.However, upon arrival, the house was very musty, mildewy smelling. This is off-putting. The blinds are a bit dilapidated and carpeting dirty.But, as I said, the location is good.

Vacation Rental

Reviewer Comments: I was glad I had read something in a previous posting about the yellow ducks as our GPS blanked out just north of the private road. The house was nice and pretty much met our expectations regarding size. We had 2 dogs and they expressed no interest in the spots on the carpet which indicates it had been cleaned. Obviously someone had smoked outside (against the rental agreement) as there were ash trays and a sand bucket outside, but no signs of smoking inside. The house could have used a good cleaning as the glass chandelier in the eating space, the air return in the hall and the exhaust in the master bath were coated with grease and lint. The head board in the master bedroom had enough dust I could have written something in it. The double glass doors to the beach were coated with grease/oil, enough that it obscured the view when the sun shown through & the kitchen exhaust grease trap was close to being plugged. Directions to raise the "cookbook shelf" to access the switches would have been helpful. We found a dirty towel under a bed, dirty cloths in a closet and a 2 month old cash register receipt under the master bed. For a weeks stay for 8 people, we were left with 4 rolls of TP, 4 dishwasher pods & 4 laundry pods. When we asked about getting more we were informed we would need to purchase them ourselves. At over $350/night, hotels & motels do better. Two chairs in the eating area were broken, a rung on one & a back slat on another. It was very disappointing for my wife, who is handicapped, to not be able to access the beach as advertised via the stairs and landing. She was really looking forward to doing that as it was one of her favorite things to do when we had our own rental on the north coast. Yes, there was a disclaimer about possible damage due to winter storms but we were there in August which gave plenty of time to repair the damage or remove the misleading pictures from the advertisement pictures.

Dogs need a beach vacation once in a while too

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: LOCATION was perfect—just what I was looking for with easy access to beach for long dog walks. Convenient to town amenities and rainforest hiking too. The place is verging on shabby, with worn out furniture and dirty carpet, but we were comfortable there with our two big dogs, mostly because it wasn’t perfectly manicured and decorated. Everything worked and the beds/baths/kitchen were clean. Would love to see at least the yard cleaned up and beach steps repaired for the price.

Out Dated With An Amazing View

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This home needs some love and attention. While the view of the ocean was absolutely stunning with great beach access, I wouldn't rent this home again. For the most part it was clean. BUT, this home needs attention and someone needs to invest in a swifer duster!! Things just need to be updated because it felt like most of the home was run down and held together with tape and good thoughts. And the hand written notes on what we could and could not touch, and how to operate things was so tacky and unprofessional. We didn't even bother with the television because the note was confusing and it made it sound like if we touched it, it would break. The light fixture over the dining table had thick spider webs and covered in dust. Also the vents in the home had inches of dust. Kind of gross. Not at all what we were expecting.
