Cabaña del pescador - Vista al mar - capacidad para 8!

Con vistas al puerto de Petit de Grat, y a 20 minutos de la ruta de 104 cabot trail, esta casa acadiana de un siglo de antigüedad mantiene su encanto rústico que lo transporta a un momento más simple, con un toque moderno. Experimente lo que la isla tiene para ofrecer. Pescar en el muelle, cavar almejas, recoger bayas, kayak; no te decepcionará esta experiencia única en la vida. ¡Esta experiencia incluye excelente wifi, barbacoa, lavadora y secadora, ropa de cama y la mayoría de los condimentos! Se proporcionan cañas de pescar, kayaks e incluso algunos chalecos salvavidas.

Esta casa, que una vez perteneció a mi abuela, es una casa de pescadores de 200 años que domina el puerto de Petit de Grat. Una habitación se encuentra en el piso principal con 3 habitaciones ubicadas en el piso superior. Camina hacia la biblioteca. Pescar en el muelle. Lee un libro. ¡Relajarse!

Esta es una casa muy rústica, con muchos artículos, antigüedades, pinturas y baratijas que pertenecieron a mi abuela. Aparte de los sofás de cuero e internet, no hay nada moderno en esta casa. Los pisos son una combinación de baldosas y linóleo. El baño es rosa! Las toallas no coinciden. Sin embargo, te encantará la comodidad y encontrarás mucho encanto oculto, recuerdos y cosas que posiblemente te recuerden a tu propia abuela. Y la vista no tiene precio. ¡Esperamos que lo disfrutes tanto como nosotros!

Quaint, historic property with charm galore. Waterfront property with dock was spectacular, but shares lawn with another camper close by. Strong doggie odor throughout property, great for dog lovers, not so great for allergies: recommend new furnace filter and odor sanitizing. Lost power during our stay but super responsive host and a generator onsite within minutes. Lobster delivery (for a fee) was a plus!

Thanks for the review, Larissa! Strong doggy odor is a first and not a comment we’ve ever seen before. But yes, we do cater to dogs and we are very pet friendly. And as stated in the ad, there is a park model at the bottom of the hill. It was a very rainy few days. We appreciated your patience during the power outage. Cheers!

We had an amazing time and the hosts were very helpful, responsive, and accommodating. The hot tub with an ocean view was amazing and we loved having access to the kayaks. There is a large lawn area to walk your dog, but I wish I would have known that there is glass and scallops at the beach area in front of the cottage. Our dog got a bad cut on her paw swimming there. The host was very kind to lend us a pair of small socks to keep the wound clean during the rest of the stay. If you bring your dog I would recommend not letting them swim in front of the cottage, there are some nearby sandy beaches that likely would be safer.

Thanks Shannon. We clearly state in our ad that there can be sharp shells and rocks at low tide only. Mussels. Oysters etc. Glad you enjoyed your stay.

The area is beautiful. Rich in heritage and hospitality. Host was pleasant to deal with. House has a very charming and cozy feel. The deck has a beautiful view and the hot tub is amazing.

Small well-furnished house on a truly beautiful harbor. There is a large deck overlooking the harbor with comfortable furniture for lounging and dining. The house provides several kayaks and a wharf for water access. The surrounding community of Petit de Grat is a lively and friendly place.

Canada Day

Host is very friendly and communicative. Property and cottage are great. Very relaxing but at the same time there is lots to do nearby. Make sure to initiate conversations with the locals as they are some of the nicest, funniest and warmest people you will ever meet.

I felt like I was staying at a beloved grandma’s old home frozen in time. All good vibes in this well-worn, loved and lived in home w lots of fun outdoor activities like kayaking (4 provided), fishing (1 functional fishing pole-had to buy own lures), swimming (chilly but refreshing and a daily activity for me!,), exploring the opposite shore of Petit-de-Grat Island.Attended a local music fest and if one of our group wasn’t so sick we would have wandered farther afield to explore more sights/scenes.Had time to read and study the stars. Shelley and Julian were very attentive and friendly, helpful hosts-when the bathroom sink had an overnight leak discovered Julian came and fixed it himself within a half hour of being notified by text-Shelley provided many helpful tips and history of the home.(Her grandma’s!)Only be aware it takes some getting used to sharing a single first-floor bathroom (3 bedrooms on second floor) - probably common in the olden days and doesn’t kill you to wait and use good communication with your housemates. The staircase is very tight (which we were warned about ) and the top few steps especially requires craning of the neck and bending over to avoid head trauma in anyone except a child or a dwarf I’d say. Co-op food store and liquor store very close by made cooking all meals at home easy, Grill worked great once propane tank was procured by Julian so kindly !-Thank you!Would stay again for sure !

Great Stay

We stayed for the long weekend with our adult children and their spouse (6 of us). Fisherman's Cottage was perfect for us. There was lots of room for everyone, and what a view!! The kitchen was well equipped and let us prepare a celebration meal. We spent a lot of time in the hot tub. What a treat!! We would visit again.

Oh did we love this spot! Amazing sunrises and sunsets. Kayaking. Nice spot on the dock to enjoy a coffee. Hot tub (which we used multiple times). Not to mention the family cottage vibes that reminded me of our old Northern Ontario family camp that I spent summers at as a child. I would love to return with family one day and enjoy some more time there. The location is wonderful. The space was very clean and the beds were so comfy! Thank you to the hosts for offering such a stunning spot.

In a sea of 5 stars , we have your lovely letter left behind commenting on the zip tie on a door, the paint chips in some areas of the home (look closely at our photos) and the 200 year old walkway on entry. You won’t find the ritz finishing a with this 200 year old home hun. Please read before booking. #worstguestever

If you want to go back to a simpler time in life and get away from the hustle and bustle, a place where you can just breathe relax and enjoy life this is the place for you. The cottage has everything you need and more to make beautiful memories rest relax and enjoy time with your loved ones.Whether it is the view looking out the kitchen window while making dinner, relaxing on the patio, having your morning coffee sitting on the chairs of the dock after having a wonderful night's sleepin the most comfortable bed, or just relaxing in the hot tub after a day of sightseeing or boating you will not be disappointed with the beauty and charm of this place. I want to thank Shelly and her family for sharing this special place and making this into a perfect home away from home from check in to check out.

We presently live in Halifax, Nova Scotia, during the winter , and love spending as much time as we can in Cape Breton during the summer. I teach , and my husband Julian is in construction (and proud contestant of the Great Canadian Baking Show- season1) We're raising pretty awesome twins. Our hosting began in Cape Breton in 2018 and we’ve recently added properties in Halifax.
