Cabin was exactly as described and made for an amazing weekend for myself, my husband and our two dogs. Loved being able to hear the river from the cabin/deck and sitting by the fire pit down below. We will be back!

The sound of the river was so relaxing, we spent so much time on the porch and by the river. Our dogs were in heaven!! The hot tub was amazing,everything was just perfect. The ONLY drawback was the long sstaircase from the house to the river, but overall it was worth it- definitely recommend!!

Creek-bluff cabin

Wonderful little cabin overlooking the Elijay River. Several cabins nearby and one in view, but not intrusive and still felt secluded. Dog yard is small but adequate. Higher energy pups would appreciate a stroll down the road or to the creek and back. The Elijay River was a perfect temperature and flow for summer relaxation. I would definitely book again.

Nice cabin type home. Grill, hot tub and the big back porch was very nice. Be in very good physical condition, or pack everything you need for the creek before you walk down those stairs lol. The scenery is well worth the walk down though.

Toilet paper would have been nice

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I rented this cabin for 3 days. One would expect at least 3 dishwasher pods for my stay. Not the case. I sent a message and was told I get one pod to get me started. STARTED!!! No where did I read that you are to bring you own pods AND toilet paper! YES! The one ply dollar store toilet paper that only made it through the first night WAS IT too. Not in all my years renting a fully equipped cabin have I EVER had to supply my own toilet paper or dish soap. If I wanted to rough it and wipe my rear with leaves I’d go camping. Imagine if you will driving up this mountain for 3 days in a beautiful fully equipped river side cabin on a mountain in the fall. During the most expensive time of year. You can’t rent this cabin for less than 3 days. You wake up to a beautiful morning with your family. Have a lovely breakfast. Then you go to use the toilet just to be caught with your pants around your ankles searching closets, cabinets and drawers to no avail. When I mentioned the lack of toilet paper I got ignored. If I didn’t have plans to leave that morning I’d give you a 1 star. Now they want a review. 🤔

Everything was clean and neat, the views were beautiful and the weather was perfect for hiking during the day and cooled off in the evening for a nightly campfire. This was our fourth time renting from Sliding Rock and we will return next year.

Chairs were covered in tree sap. Had hopes of sitting by river and enjoying, but it was not a enjoyable area.Road was to cabin was terrible and needs gravel and grading. Not room for 2 cars to pass, especially when we met a 20 ton gravel truck. I have stayed at a few of your cabins, but this one we will not stay again. Please for others describe the road access.

Amazing Getaway!!

The hubby and I needed a few days away from the craziness of life. The cabin was just like advertised. All the small special touches were greatly appreciated. Our fur baby had a blast too! Thank you for sharing your home with us!

Great getaway!

Great house on beautiful Ellijay River. Be prepared to decend/ascend a lot of steps (as listed). The river sound is very relaxing and pretty from the porch. The road back crosses a creek. An old fashioned wooden bridge or drive through the creek to the side (required for trucks). Its rough at times. Take your time. We were really sad to leave!

Reviewer Comments: Hi the cabin was lovely however we had to go out to get toilet paper and coffee filters we left the coffee filters we bought but you should probably leave some extra toilet paper for the next guest as that is not what you expect you have to bring. Otherwise the trip was great the cabin was clean and we actually saw a bear on the road less then 20ft from the cabin when we were walking up the hill. Good thing he/she was nice and walked away down the hill when we made a lot of noise. Made for a lot of good stories! Will be back again when we need another cabin for our family to spread out since ours isn't big enough to fit everyone!

Relaxing stay

We enjoyed the view and sound of flowing river from high deck, as well as getting in the water at base of staircase leading to water. Comfortable accommodations.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My husband and I come to Blue Ridge/Ellijay every year for our anniversary. He looks forward to fishing for trout (which there were none of in this river) and the cooler weather. The cabin is very small. If you plan on having more than 2 people you’re going to be crowded. It is cute and cozy but small. Theres lots of big furniture that takes up a lot of room. If you prefer the higher elevation with 1000 steps to the river then this location is perfect for you 😂 It was definitely not one of the cleanest cabins (very dusty) we’ve been in but it wasn’t bad enough that you wouldn’t want to stay. I would recommend this cabin as the little things like this never stop us from returning.

The views were wonderful and being near the water was great. We loved hearing the river and walking down the steps to them. The cabin was quaint, comfy and clean.
