Great Cabin Retreat

PERFECT Vacay EVER!

We rented Forever Friday at Sliding Rock mainly for their dog policy and for welcoming large breeds...our four babies. On arrival, we did not expect the perfect cabin for us and the perfect Ellijay river to swim and float in! We found family fun in one perfect place!! Tara was the perfect contact/host. We had so much fun and wished we could have stayed longer. Our longest excursion was under 2 hours away, but we couldn’t wait to get back to just hang out. Thank you Sliding Rock! We will be back soon!

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is our 2nd stay with sliding rock. Let me start with the positives...it was cool being next to the river. Was looking forward to having the pups roam the fenced yard. They did-then I noticed the ‘fence’ was down at the corner of the property. No big deal—just watched them extra close—- but then someone moved in next to us with a pup. My girls are barkers and this wasn’t going to work. Initially when we walked in, it was nice enough. The bed on the first floor is one out of a box, I think it said Casper, and it was terrible. If you even slightly moved, the bed would squeak. Found some rotten wood in the deck area along with some trash. Big dead bugs on the deck. It just didn’t feel like the first cabin we stayed at, and it wasn’t what I thought it was going to be. Oh well. Win some, lose some. We went back home after one night.

The double fireplaces came in handy as we encountered some freezing temps on 2 days. The property was a very nice surprise as it provided plenty of room for activities for both human and canine alike!

Great place

We had a great time at this place. It was clean and had everything we needed. As a person who doesn’t own pets I was worried about any smells, but it didn’t smell bad, which was great. The river was nice but not that good for swimming or fishing. Overall it was a nice place.

Forever Friday/Sliding Rock Cabins

We were not able to get into the river due to rain causing a stronger current and murky water. We still had a great time walking, grilling and playing games. Sliding Rocks is the best dog friendly place to stay! The cabins are always clean and the staff are always kind and helpful!

It is very clean and well kept. Our two huskies loved the freedom and swimming in the river. The flat gated area makes it safe and easy to let the dogs out to go potty. We enjoyed relaxing and playing games. Thank you Sliding Rock for always making our vacations memorable.

Sliding Rock are very professional and the Cabins they offer are amazing. We will for sure use them again and hopefully get this same cabin again. I think this was the 6th time we have stayed at this cabin, but have also enjoyed several other cabins with Sliding Rock Cabins in the past. Cabins are always clean, great amenities, and exactly as advertised on their website. I can not recommend this cabin strongly enough, and have always had great experiences in the past with the Sliding Rock Cabins management staff.

Quiet, lazy, dog friendly river retreat

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was a perfect getaway for us- 2 couples, 2 grown children, and 2 dogs. The draw was being right on the river, being able to take dogs, and having privacy. Besides being in the river -the pool table, hot tub, screened porch, deck and fire pit were where we spent all of our time - we only went out for one meal and a round of golf. The cabin had all the essentials you would expect. The property was gated so the dogs had space to roam. From the main road turnoff to the cabin be prepared for steep, gravel, winding narrow roads.

Our stay

We enjoed the cabin. There were a few issues that were there when we arrived and could not be addressed until after we left, such as water in basement game room. But I’m sure all will be fixed for next guest. The road to cabin was very long, windy and not what I enjoyed. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5.

GREAT Long Weekend at Forever Friday

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a wonderful long Memorial Holiday weekend at Forever Friday! It's so nice to be able to bring our dogs to such a wonderful place with a fenced yard so they can have a vacation too! They loved frolicking in the river and lounging on the bank in the sun. The adults also had a wonderful time in the hot tub and playing pool. Our only wish would have been that the air hockey table was working.
