Your Caribbean vacation begins on one of the prettiest unspoiled beaches on all of St. Maarten / St. Martin. Quiet, calm, lined with sea grapes and palms… and no one to interrupt the peace and tranquility.

Sur Mer is situated on the southern end of Simpson Bay Beach, within the beachfront complex of Coco’s Beach Club. The intimate, small beach club consists of 15 units in 2 story-buildings. All units face the beach and offer mesmerizing views of the Caribbean Sea. The pure sand beach is pristine; there is no “ledge” as you enter the sea.

Lovely natural gardens enhanced with special lighting make the nights as beautiful as the days! Coco’s Beach Club is intimate, quiet, and very unassuming. Originally this lovely spot was known as Le Chatelaine Hotel. After many years it has been transformed into another lovely setting; quality workmanship and wonderful design to take advantage of the beach, sea, sun and sky.

This very large beachfront 3-bedroom, 3.5 bathroom, second floor condo is ideal for couples, families or friends.

Sur Mer is fully air conditioned and has ceiling fans to keep you comfortable no matter what the temperature. Crushed coral floors are comfortable and simply beautiful.

The living area is elegantly furnished and the entertainment area offers a flat screen with Netflix. The interior dining area can accommodate 6-8 persons comfortably.

The kitchen is fully equipped with all stainless appliances, beautiful cabinetry and granite counters. Ice maker, beautiful dishes, kitchen cutlery and glassware add to the completeness of the kitchen.

All three bedrooms offer a king size bed, air conditioning and en-suite bathrooms with showers. The washer/dryer is located by the ½ bathroom.

One of the best things to do in the immediate neighborhood is to have a seaside lunch at Mary’s Boon or hang out at Karakter Beach Bar. Two of the islands popular restaurant/beach bar locations! You can walk there on the beach; both spots are less than 100 yards away.

Sur Mer is located 5 minutes from Princess Juliana International Airport and is conveniently located to other white sand beaches (Maho Beach, Mullet Bay, Cupecoy Beach, Long Bay), watersports, French bakeries, banks, drug stores, grocery stores, gyms, hairdressing salons, ice-cream parlors, massage centers, theatres, restaurants/bars, duty free shopping, casinos and night entertainment.

Great location

Very nice place for 3 couples! Tons of space to spread out. Only think lacking was enough beach chairs for all. So we rented from Mary’s Boon next door.

Simpson Bay vacay

We loved this place! Plenty of room for 3 couples or a family. Right on the beach and nice pool area. Clean and well stocked.We were worried about airport noise, but it was fun to watch the planes. Nice to have Mary Boon right next door for dinner. Loved! definetlybe back!

Fabulous stay

The pictures do not do this place justice. Very spacious, clean and comfortable. From the moment you walk in the door and see that incredible view, you will be in love. Can’t wait to come back.

Great unit with an awesome location.

Beautiful beach front unit. The planes landing and taking off add an option that was unexpected but not bothersome at all. A bit more comfortable seating and dinner/cookware would be nice but 6 of us survived quite nicely. Definitely a place we’ll return to.

One guest twisted her knee, Cathy was very nice and brought her crutches. Very appreciated. The rental was clean , roomy and just what was advertised. We had a great time. Thank you so much

The rental was located on the beach with three spacious master suites. Chairs were available as well. Just make sure you know the villa number and how to get the key. I didn’t know that ahead of time. They even let me stay later than expected due to a delayed flight. I’d definitely return.

Family Enjoying Family

Our overall time at the condo was fantastic, we could not have asked for more. The condo has two huge balconies, one in front & one on the ocean. The bedrooms were spacious and all had a view. Someone met us at the airport for the check-in and explained all the features at the condo. Condo was very well stock for you to cook and stay instead of going out which gave you more time to relax and enjoy ocean and island life. Will definitely be going back again, but this time for longer.

Coco beach

Nice property. Grounds and pool maintained. Stayed for 2 weeks. We do cook meals at least half the time and found the kitchen could use some necessities like cups and bowls. Also, living room furniture is lacking seating and current furniture is uncomfortable. Other than that it would be nice if each bedroom had a TV. We will return.

Our Favorite Island

LOVE!!! We have been coming to St Marten for over 20 years and have always stayed at the same resort every year. We decided since we had a smaller group we would try for a place right on the beach in this area. We LOVED every part of this place. The location is PERFECT. Felt very safe! Sur Mer was WONDERFUL. Right on the beach overlooking the ocean, extremely clean, very helpful when needed, they came and cleaned for us during our stay, and they had everything from beach chairs/umbrellas, washer/dryer, comfortable beds, and more. We can not wait to book our next trip here🌺

Right on the Beach

What a view of Simpson Bay!!! This open-concept 3 bedroom, 3.5 bath was just perfect for the 5 of us. The condo was spacious, clean, comfy king beds & linens included. The front patio/balcony faced the airport runway...it was so cool to see the planes taking off, landing & turning around right in front of us. The back balcony was spacious for all to enjoy the gorgeous water view of Simpson Bay (and all the mega-yachts too). Having Mary's Boon bar/restaurant next door was very convenient for food/drinks. Beach chairs, umbrellas (cheap small ones) & beach towels were supplied as well. It was great having the pool option & a fitness room on premises. The grounds were very well maintained & the staff were friendly. Having a gated parking lot was great (parking on the island is horrendous). The neighborhood driving in from the main road was run down until you get to the accommodations on the beach. All in all we had an amazing trip in St. Marteen!

Do not worry about airport runway noise, you hardly notice it. It is a south facing beach and the waves were a bit rough for the week but I believe that was secondary to tropical storm Philippe and a southerly wind. I agree with previous review that beach lounge chairs should be available.

Spacious place with a beautiful view.

Property was as advertised. Terrific location whether you wanted to sit peacefully or be adventurous. The property had plenty of indoor and outdoor space to gather or find a quiet corner. A large living/dining room area, front and rear balconies. The rear balcony had a grill and seating for 6 around a big table. The location cannot be beat. Having Mary’s Boon next door to access food and drink easily was a gift with 3 different kinds of eaters/drinkers in our place. Such nice people there and service and food was amazing. The gym and pool on the property were kept very clean and it was a quiet space that had shade and sun. Safe and gated parking although we never once felt unsafe anywhere on the entire island. We would absolutely stay here again and again. If you’re traveling with adult children/friends - make sure you inquire about this location. They even had comfortable beach chairs for us. Highly recommend!

A week in Simpson Bay

We had a great week, the property is very spacious and the views (sunset and sunrise) and beach are spectacular! Cathy met us to check us in. The host provided some groceries for us, which was amazing (coffee, milk, eggs, bread, juice, bottled water and beer), very kind and helpful. They also have a binder with all the info you need. There are very few downsides to this property, the arms of the outdoor furniture were starting to break and wear. The property literally backs on to the airport so you 100% get airplane noise. We needed an umbrella for the beach which they quickly brought to us. There are no sun loungers for this property (for the beach). They have chairs which are great. You can also buy a drink at Mary Boon’s next door and use their loungers. There are also loungers by the pool (with umbrellas for shade). It was a great week, thinking about when we can return:)!
