We loved the location right on the water. The first floor location was also a plus. We could snorkel at the beach right next to the apartment at the little beach there. Apartment was immaculate and very clean and spacious. All around very comfortable. Conveniently located near the shopping area and restaurants.. We would definitely stay here again.

You can’t get closer to the water than this condo!

Fantastic location and right next to the water! Very nice condo for 2 in a quiet building on a bay that has lots of fish and turtles. Lots of restaurants and beaches nearby.

This place was just as described. We enjoyed the location--so perfect for sunrises on the porch and sunsets around the corner on the lawn. Close to so many great beaches. This place was wonderful to come home to each night. We hope to return!

Just can't beat it

The view is incredible, it is right next to one of the better restaurants on the island (The Beach House), and overall location is perfect for Poipu adventures!

Kauai vacation

We visited the island for a week. My wife and I enjoyed the north side for several days and then spent several days in Poipu. The property was very clean and right on the water. It was an older unit, but it was still very nice. It was convenient to beaches and local attractions and restaurants.

Great Location

Amazing location that opens to the ocean. Good value but the condo is a little dated and the amenities like the beach chairs etc could be updated. That being said we would return for sure. Be sure to watch the African ringed -necked parakeets come in the evening and land in the trees for the night. One of the coolest things we saw on the trip.

Beautiful

Enjoyed being right on the ocean. The only downfall to this property was that it faces the east, so enjoying sunsets meant leaving the unit and walking around the building. Aside from that it was a great property! Spacious, clean, comfortable!

Great spot

Beautiful views. Location is great if you have little ones and want to walk to keiki beach. Simple, organized, clean. The pipes running water to the ac unit at night are quite loud but we shut the closet door and used ear plugs and it worked out just fine.

Snorkeling, turtle watching and surfer watching

The room met our expectations. The location was great. We could watch turtles feeding in the water nearby. Around the corner we rented snorkeling equipment and couldn't believe all the beautiful we saw right there on the far side of the building. Surfers were always fun to watch while we were waiting for the sun to set. Then at sunset thousands of large green parakeets came flying in to roost in the palm trees. In the morning we could walk 10 minutes to Living Foods for a latte and pastries. It's a great location.

Excellent location with great views of "turtle cove." Sunrise views can be wonderful (weather permitting). The condo is basic but the location makes it worthwhile. It would be helpful if the patio screen would lock. We had problems getting into the condo using the long numerical code. Would prefer to be given the 4-digit lock box code to get the key.

Perfect location!

Truly oceanfront. The sound of the ocean is the most soothing! Turtles, breaching whales, lovely walking areas. This was our 5th stay at Kuhio Shores. We’ll stay here again, for certain!

Door entry

Keypad was inconsistent in its use. Sometimes entry was relatively easy but frequently most challenging. The keypad kept locking us out.
