Fun on the lake

Property was just as described, communication with owner was fantastic and responses to questions were great. In ground pool was the main hit along with location and access to beaches and trails. We enjoyed daily walks along the lake; area was clean and felt safe. We rented a pontoon boat and hiked trails to waterfalls where we swam, kids had a great time and did not want to leave. Would definitely stay here again. Thanks for the great memories.

Enjoyed our stay

The location for our stay was what we were looking for. With Huntsville about an hour away was great if you are looking for things to do there. Also the lake is a five minute walk away with a great trail to walk along. Everything you need is a 5-10 minute drive. Great property to come back to after your day of doing things. Highly recommend.

Perfect place to relax

The home was very clean and decorated nicely. The beds and couches were comfortable. The pool was perfect for relaxing on a hot summer day. We did not have any problems with check-in or during our stay.

Beautiful home, on a quiet street! We absolutely loved our stay and wish I would have booked the home longer. Property owner was very nice and quick responding. When we go back to AL, I will be requesting this home again!

Unfortunately a storm came through and blew down some trees on the property so we were not able to stay. He was at the house immediately and refunded our money right away. The house and pool were very nice, great location and we will definitely try this home again.

We stayed 2 nights for a baseball tournament. House was clean and it was in a quiet neighborhood. Just a few minutes to walk to the lake. The pool wasn't clean during our visit so we didn't use the yard. Overall, great stay and would rent this property again.

Comfortable and convenient

The location of property is close to the lake but not lake view. A short walk allows you the option of a sandy beach and walking path in very good shape along the lake edge. The pool is wonderful! Bedrooms/baths were adequate and all appliances worked. Kitchen well stocked. Well appointed decor.

We had a great trip, loved the house!

This is a great house and accomodations with the exception of ants in the kitchen and there were no washcloths and we couldnt find towels. We had to go purchase washcloths and towels for our use, later found some towels that were in the dryer!

Great house

Loved this house. It was perfect for our family. I liked that the main areas are separated from the bedrooms so we could put kids to bed and not worry about making too much noise in the living spaces. Pool was lovely! The diving board was a surprise and we loved every jump!! Nicely renovated home. Soft beds (not my preference but I know some people want to know). Would happily stay here again.

Visiting Sick Family Member & Working Remotely STAY HERE & YOU'RE ON CANDID CAMERA!!

Top surface looked fairly clean, (grand tour nothing but nasty filthy in all rooms). I had to wash all bed linen before going to bed Two br has TV's my son wanted to sleep in a room with TV. I pulled the linen back, bugs running all over the bed. My son freaked out (as I did too) we left and went to my brothers house and stayed there (my son would not stay in that house overnight he stayed with my brother/his uncle). Bugs were not just in this one bed,but all of the bed's, crawling on the floor's,kitchen full of ant's. I didn't dare take our luggage into the house (fear I would bring bug's and ant's into my home). Left in my truck,in need of something trip to the truck. There are hidden cameras & listening devices all through the INSIDE (James states on his page security cameras EXTERIOR only) James, is not honest about this. I was in the shower when I spotted one of the cameras hidden inside the bathroom. James, stated on VRBO, that I picked the master bedroom lock. No I didn't, there was no lock on the door. Storm caused the network to drop off line, I was accused of disconnecting, the handyman tried to reset the network (was unsuccessful). checkout is 11:00 James was calling @ 9:00 saying I need to go housekeeping needs in James had contacted VRBO stating I stolen his liquor & other things he can't recall what else.I don't drink. He was charging my account $250.00 company attorney on the case got all $$ back. I have pictures, of all the above then some. CASE STILL PENDING

The Wyndham would have been better.

When we first arrived, nothing opened or worked as the email said it would. It took us a while to get into the house and into the pool. None of the beds had sheets nor blankets on them, the laundry room was piled with laundry when we arrived. There was a huge pile of garbage in the walkway as you entered the back door. They housekeeper had to be called back out to the house. The kitchen counter chairs are very wobbly as my daughter fell out of one and needed stitches, we spent the last night of our vacation at the emergency room and was not able to clean and we're charged $250 for something I had no control over. We even paid for the extra accidental insurance at the time of booking but it didn't matter, so I'd suggest saving that money. The owner accused me of having one more kid than what was on the agreement yet our agreement clearly stated 4 children. We have a special needs child and was degraded for it. If you use the pool and the cleaners come, GET OUT OF THE POOL, even if the cleaners say it's okay. NO IT'S NOT. You will be blamed for turning them away even if you offer to get out. A week or two before our vacation started we paid for an extra night and the owner didn't write it down or either forgot. The owners don't seem kid friendly, and the housekeeping is lazy but we were blamed for that as well. The home is in a nice spot, easy to find. It was neutral for my family to come and visit.
