Recientemente renovado "Las Piedras" tiene capacidad para diez personas en una impresionante ubicación elevada frente al mar con una piscina junto al acantilado. Nada más que vistas despejadas del océano en una de las playas más tranquilas y hermosas de la isla. Acceso directo al océano desde la casa. La playa de La Chata es un secreto: es ideal para nadar, bucear, pasear e incluso surfear. O tómalo todo desde la piscina junto al acantilado. "Las Piedras" es una joya arquitectónica, con planos de planta abiertos, ideal para el entretenimiento, impresionantes vistas, ducha al aire libre y amplias comodidades.

"Las Piedras" ("The Rocks" en español) fue construido en la década de 1980 por el fundador de la revista DETAILS y su esposo arquitecto, como un paraíso ideal para escapar de la rutina de Nueva York y L.A. y entretener a sus amigos famosos. Las rocas del mismo nombre anclan la casa y hacen apariciones en toda la casa de manera divertida. El piso superior cuenta con un plano de planta abierto con sala de estar, cocina, comedor y una gran terraza con vista al océano con juego de comedor al aire libre y tumbonas. Hay 4 habitaciones designadas en los dos pisos inferiores, todas con magníficas vistas al océano y una con baño completo en suite. Además, el LR inferior tiene una cama Queen Murphy desplegable y hay una cama completa en un espacio acogedor en el piso superior con un baño adyacente.
La casa cuenta con wifi, refrigeradores y sillas de playa, un tocadiscos y un montón de (¡nuevo!) juegos de mesa.

Very spacious for family, and views are outstanding. Had more than enough beach chairs, snorkels, masks, fins, coolers, etc..which was more than expected. Pool was clean, best to float and enjoy the views; as it is deep. AC for each room have to keep windows and doors closed best you can to maintain cold air. Host explained in process of getting windows fixed. The upstair refrigerator serve its purpose but drinks weren’t very cold after being in fridge for some time. The downstairs fridge worked better, only issue is going up and down stairs. Beach was nice, little rocky and I guess we just caught a windy period of time. One recommendation would be AC for upstair living and second floor family room, very humid and hot. Do get a breeze in main living area upstairs but still feel humidity. Overall had a great time and would stay again.

Amazing!!!!

With family and friends we have stayed at numerous homes through Vrbo and we loved them all BUT this home was the absolute BEST. The view and location were outstanding! From the main living area and kitchen the view of the ocean was unbelievable! The location and amenities were perfect. We literally were steps from the pool, beach, and ocean. We walked the beach every morning enjoying the sunrise. The beach offered beautiful sand, shells, and sea glass. The pool was a fantastic place to relax and cool off after a day of site seeing. We would go here again in a heart beat.

Glorious Spot on Vieques

With its sweeping views of 4 islands, star-filled skies, wonderful decks and pool, and comfortable bedrooms open to the sounds of the waves on the rocks below, Las Piedras is an enchanted place. With many different spots for privacy as well as to gather in groups, our guests just wanted to hang out at the house. One said it had all the joys of being on a cruise ship without having to cope with seasickness. We have rented many houses in Bravos de Boston over our 20 years of visiting Vieques. Piedras (before renovation) was our first and best loved. It has been beautifully renovated and the newest owners have filled it with eye-appealing comfortable furniture, wonderful artwork and textiles, plus high quality kitchen appliances, dishes and cookware. Betty and Miles were helpful and very responsive. The location--close to supermarkets lots of good restaurants, on a beach, and in a quiet, walkable neighborhood--could not be any better. While we were there the ocean was calm enough so that swimming and snorkeling right below the house were easily possible many days. Highly recommend.

50th birthday week

Excellent house and location, beautiful views, friendly host and perfect pool. Only downside is host trying to charge us a hefty damage fee for a door that we didn’t damage. Storm winds pushed a portion of glass door loose, we actually tried to fix that and pointed it out to the host. House stays very wet inside but the bedrooms stay very nice with the heat pump ac units. Other than bizarre damage claim an ideal stay for the group.

True to Pictures

From the start, our experience with this rental was positive. Evelyn, the host, was very responsive and promptly answered all our questions. Communication with Betty, the property manager, was also excellent, and the check-in process was seamless. Betty, who is local, even stopped by to assist when we had a question, which was incredibly helpful. The house itself is amazing, with an unbeatable location. The beach is perfect for snorkeling, easily one of the best spots on the entire island. The property was well-equipped with everything we needed, including beach chairs, towels, three different-sized coolers, and two umbrellas. The house also featured a washer and dryer, a fully stocked kitchen with a great blender, and an outdoor shower for rinsing off after a day at the beach. Overall, it had everything we needed for a relaxing vacation.

Unique and Lovely Beach House

I love the concept of the house! It’s a magical place to stay and the island has many great places to explore! I would consider going again, but not in the summer. The listing could be more clear that there’s air-conditioning only in the bedrooms (wall units that cool things off to a point, but struggle to keep up with the heat). All of the shared living spaces do not have air conditioning, which might be fine in the winter and early spring, but it was pretty hot in June.

Great Ocean Front Property

We had a wonderful stay at this property! The views from the house were incredible and tough to beat. The house was well equipped, clean, and as advertised in the photos. The managers were prompt, friendly, and helpful. The pool and quick access to the beach were also great features. Would highly recommend!

Beautiful stay, feels like your are in the ocean.

We had a wonderful time and the views were spectacular. The sounds of the ocean were perfect and there was a beach right on the property. Would stay again for sure. Thank you everything was perfect!

Pure bliss

The house is as beautiful as the pictures, fantastic location. We had a hard time leaving to explore the island, which has some other incredible beaches and places to eat, because the house was so relaxing. A perfect place to stay, full kitchen for cooking large meals and waking up to the ocean every morning, so many places to lounge and read a book. The best way to celebrate my 50th with friends, don’t hesitate, this is the place to stay!

A great location that has it all!

We just returned from a wonderful stay here. Everything was clean and there were plenty of bath and beach towels to go around. On the calm wind days we snorkeled in La Chata (beach next to the house) - we saw sting rays and puffer fish!! Plus lots of other fish! The part of La Chata the house is located on is, in my opinion, the best part - you have a choice of calm waters or waves and the sand is soft and smooth. We didn’t use the pool much only because we were always in the ocean :). The house itself is well equipped- we cooked and it had everything we needed. The ceiling fans in all the rooms cooled us nicely and the a/c in the bedrooms worked great. There was plenty of room to spread out and we played games from the cupboard. Another plus is the beach gear available: snorkels, masks, flippers, noodles, boogy board, skiing life belt, and kick board. There are beach chairs- but a number are broken due to the salt water/rust. The views from the house are amazing. It is a front row seat to the ocean and beach- and if the distance to the beach is of concern- this house is just a few steps. This house worked great for our family: 3 kids ages 10-13 and my husband and me. I would not recommend this house to a group with young children or who may have someone in their group who struggles with stairs/balance- as there are a lot of stairs. We really enjoyed this house and cannot wait for another visit back!!

Absolutely Amazing!!

This property was absolutely perfect for our group of 7. Plenty of room to stretch out and beautiful common areas to be together. The view off the decks/kitchen/ master bedroom was fantastic! Snorkeling right in front of the house was the best we saw on the island. The check in/out process was seamless. We will definitely book this house again next time we come to Veiques!

Lovely Location and Island

6 of us stayed for 8 days and we had a wonderful time!! Property managers Betty and Miles were simply outstanding !!! Immediate response for any questions we had. The home was great, but just a couple things to keep in mind. There is no air conditioning in the main rooms, only the bedrooms. Worked out fine for us because weather was not that hot, but something to keep in mind. There are no TVs but the internet connection was great! Definitely need a jeep for just about any beach you go to. Small dirt roads with very many huge potholes. We didn’t cook at all as the restaurants were fantastic. 2 coffee makers made it perfect for caffeine and decaf people. The inside does need a little updating, especially the windows and the screen doors. The pool was wonderful and refreshingly cool. Overall a fantastic time.

Stunning views and ultimate privacy

The house is very spacious and airy. The views from the top floor living and kitchen area are fantastic. On a clear day you can see Puerto Rico, Culebra, St Thomas and St John. We enjoyed the spacious pool and the beach below. We highly recommend this house for your next adventure!

Amazing home and awesome location

We were a group of 8 adults (4 couples) and there was plenty of room for everyone. Betty, the property manager, was amazing and very helpful. The views and the location was incredible. We cooked meals here and even though it's not a private beach it sure feels like it. Most days we were the only ones on the beach. We felt safe and my most favorite part about the house, besides the view, the pool, and the beach, was the outside shower. We all used it everytime we showered. It is very strategically placed so that even though your outside in the shower no one can see you. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

Wow!!!

The property is GORGEOUS and the communication from the owner and property management team was outstanding (Miles was great!) The sweeping ocean views will blow you away, but the care put into the home and experience prior to and through our stay will far exceed expectations of even the pickiest of travelers. We just returned from 7 lovely days in Vieques with our friends and cannot wait to visit again. The recommendations from Evelyn were thoughtful and accurate (we had a meal catered by Chef Beverly Davenport which was delicious.) You will not regret choosing Las Piedras for your Vieques vacation...book now!

Paradise Realized

I would not recommend staying here only because you may take up time that I want to be there. This house was awesome and combined with the location and view of the water made it outstanding. Some things to note: * listen to Evelyn and download the Sonos app. She has a great playlist for environment. * there were beach towels, umbrellas, and a few other supplies in the bottom floor in case you have to travel light. * The grill is a nice Weber and worked well. * The views from this house are amazing. I mean you can’t take a bad picture. * We went to nearly every beach on the island and the snorkeling behind the house was the best. My tip, open all the windows, turn on some music, enjoy the view. There’s no TVs in the house and no one ever complained about it. We had 2 12 year olds, a 15 year old, and 2 sets of parents too. We are already planning on coming back.

We fell in love with Vieques a niumber of years ago and were thrilled to purchase "Las Piedras" in the spring of 2019. Overseeing the design and renovations has been a dream project. We hope you'll love this location was much as we do!

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

It's a quick drive to the main town of Isabel II and to the ferry terminal. Located in the safe, pretty and peaceful neighborhood of Bravos de Boston, sought out for its prime beachfront location and friendly neighbors. (No noisy roosters waking you up here!)

Aside from sustenance, there is no reason to leave! Renting a Jeep to get to grocery stores, restaurants, other beaches, etc. is strongly advised, though.

Work from Paradise! Our home has great Wifi and multiple workspace options. The property line extends into the ocean rocks so swimming in the ocean (and pool, of course) is available even when local restrictions are in place.
