Fantástica casa de más de 1900 pies cuadrados frente al mar / frente al mar en el lago Hurón con hermosas vistas al lago y una interminable playa de arena. Ven a ver el amanecer sobre el agua, da un largo paseo por la costa y disfruta de esta casa única de 2 pisos con un plano de planta abierto, 3 habitaciones (2 en el nivel superior (camas Queen) y 1 en el piso principal (cama completa) ) cada uno con su propio baño completo. El loft superior también tiene 2 camas individuales y hay un sofá nuevo con una cama plegable en la sala. Sótano completo (sin terminar) con mesa de ping-pong.

Primer piso, lavandería completa. Toallas de baño / playa y ropa de cama. Cocina totalmente equipada. Nueva parrilla de propano Weber en la cubierta y pozo de fuego en el patio lateral. Ventiladores de techo y ventiladores independientes en cada habitación (sin embargo, nunca hemos utilizado los ventiladores independientes ya que la brisa fresca del lago realmente hace un buen trabajo por sí mismo). Actualmente tenemos un buen televisor, reproductor de DVD y películas ... el cable se instalará en la primavera. ¡Realmente disfrutamos una buena película después de mirar las estrellas junto al fuego!

Sendero de pendiente suave común inmediatamente adyacente a la casa para acceder a la hermosa playa privada de arena. Sillas de playa, juguetes y toallas. Jaula para perros extra grande proporcionada. Los niveles de agua pueden variar en los Grandes Lagos de semana a semana, las imágenes muestran agosto / septiembre de 2019.

Harbor Beach está a 10 millas al norte. ¡Encontrarás 2 parques bien mantenidos, 2 museos y un pueblo súper amigable de personas listas para ayudar! Port Sanillac está a unas 15 millas al sur y tiene muchas tiendas queridas y restaurantes locales.

Family Getaway

Beautiful home with very comfortable accomodations. The view from the deck is gorgeous and the beach is very private. The walk down to the beach was not too bad and the neighbor even offered to uber us back and forth in his ATV! The kids enjoyed the paddleboard and kayak.

The house is beautiful and private. There were plenty of chairs to enjoy the beach/firepit. The open space on the first floor was amazing for the view to the beach. This was truly a private beach with only a handful of neighbors who showed up, who were very friendly. tw

My family and I had an amazing time. The house is gorgeous, the host, Karen, is very friendly and answered all my questions, responding very quickly! I couldn't ask for a more perfect spot to vacation on Lake Huron. The kids had plenty to keep them busy while the adults were able to sit back and relax. 10 out of 10.

Wonderful week!

The house was easy to find and immaculate. There were plenty of dishes and silverware and all appliances worked perfectly. The nights were quiet. We did not realize until later in the week that local beaches were closed for e-coli, and we did swim. Of note: this late in the season there was a lot of muck at the lake bottom.

A Perfect Lakehouse Getaway

The house and yard were very clean, beds were comfortable and bathroom setup was ideal. The deck and other outdoor space were very functional and beautiful. We enjoyed coffee on the back patio every morning and the sunrises were gorgeous. The owner, Karen, has thought of everything. There is a dog crate, marshmallow roasting sticks, wood for fires, beach towels, condiments... the list goes on and on. In addition, the chairs down at the beach got a lot of use, along with the many beach items (Kayak, paddleboard, floaties, etc...). The short walk to the beach was very convenient and felt private as we didn't see anyone else using it. The view from the living room was nothing short of spectacular. I highly recommend this property! If you have a chance to stay here, I also recommend Boondocks. They have vendor markets on the weekends, a free pool table. They also offer really good food and drink. They post their weekly drink and food specials on their Facebook page.

Private Getaway

The house is in a quiet part of Lake Huron. Most of the days we were there we saw no one else. The house is lovely. There was plenty of space for our family of 3 adults and 2 kids. Everything was just as pictured. The house was clean and well kept. There were plenty of water toys to keep us occupied. The short walk to the water was not too much. The water was shallow so the kids (age 7 and 4) were able to swim freely. The house is rather remote so if you are looking for excitement this is not the place. However, if you want a relaxing, peaceful place to enjoy Lake Huron, this is definitely a place to see.

Nice but not worth the money

The property was very clean. The view was nice but not wonderful because the property was high on the bluff and the trek down to the beach was along a muddy fairly steep terrain. We have rented many, many places for the past 22+ years and this place was just plain annoying. The owner had signs inside all of the cupboards, with pictures, of the contents as if to remind us that "I am watching you". And yet in order to work the tv, internet, or the dining room light, I had to make a phone call to figure it out. She constantly reminded us that if we used up an item then we were to replace it. The cleaning fee was exorbitant and we were reminded to wash all the dishes and wash, fold, and put away the towels and dishes before we left. The two bedrooms on the 2nd level were extremely small, almost claustrophobic so we opted to sleep on the double bed on the first floor. Pets were allowed but only on the first floor. For anyone who has a dog that would be quite difficult and was not spelled out in the description. The owner should have stated that limitation in the description of the property. I would not return even for half the price.

Thank you for your feedback. The site shows pictures from the home looking down to the beach, from the beach looking up at the home, the path and even aerial views. The views from the deck are fantastic as shown in the listing. There are also pictures of every room. The signs assist renters knowing where dishes go and include Wi-Fi access instructions. But of course, all questions are responded to promptly and kindly. Communication from owner consists of request for contract at the time of booking, sending home information the week of the rental and the lockbox code the day prior. There are no "constant reminders" - that comment is unfair. It is common and reasonable to request renters to wash towels and dishes prior to departure. The home is very dog friendly. A baby gate, crate, tie-out, leash, food bowls and pooper-scooper are provided.

Relaxing family vacation by the lake

Property: The house is beautiful and spacious! Plenty of space for 4 adults, 1 toddler, and 2 medium sized dogs for the week. The house was clean and had everything we needed to have a nice lake-side vacation. The winds were high the week we were there so we unfortunately could not really use the kayak or SUP but still enjoyed the beach everyday. The common path to the beach could be a problem for someone with mobility issues but it was perfectly fine for our group. While we did see a few people using the path, it was not heavily used. As a matter of fact, we did not see many people on the beach. This may be because we were there during the week (not weekend). Location: The house is located in a very quiet neighborhood. Everyone we ran into were friendly. It is located south of the actual town "Harbor Beach". Not much to do around the area, but that was perfectly fine with us as we were there to wind down and have a relaxing vacation. We also visited Bad Axe and Port Austin which were about 30 min, 40 min away respectively. Property Manager: Karen takes the guess work out of expectations for staying in her home. I've read in the reviews that some people were put off by the signs/information taped on a few places around the house, but we didn't mind them and actually appreciated some of them. She is very prompt with any inquiries and every communication I received from her were friendly and professional. Overall: We had a wonderful time and would not hesitate to return again!

Amazing location and perfect communication!

We took our family of 6 and 2 grandparents in their 60s. Kids ages were 9, 7, 5 and 2. We also took our Rhodesian Ridgeback dog. The house was very clean when we arrived. Karen was very responsive and accommodating, thank you! The view to the lake faces east with beautiful sunrises. There is a shared path (with the other neighbors) just to the south of the cottage. It is a few hundred foot walk that is a little steep getting down so if you have a group with mobility issues this may pose a slight obstacle but we loved the walk through the trees to emerge at the sandy beach below. The beach and area is very quiet! Most of the time we had the beach to ourselves and there weren’t loud parties or people playing music on the beach which we appreciated. The lake stays shallow a good ways out (5ish feet deep) and the paddle board was fun. Thank you Karen for a great stay!

Beautiful Property, with just a Couple Caveats

We had a nice, relaxing vacation. The location is the best part of the property, the view is as gorgeous as the pictures show, and we *loved* listening to the waves! The kitchen was decently stocked. Bedrooms were fine. A few things to be aware of: There is no air conditioning. The owner asserts that it isn’t needed, that the breeze is enough, and there are ceiling and box fans in every room. As long as the temperature stays below 75, a good breeze, and no humidity, it’s ok. However, we had some 80+ days with almost no breeze and high humidity, and we ranged from uncomfortable to miserable, especially at night; we had the ceiling fan and 2 box fans on high and the window open, and we sweltered. I’m sure most of the year is comfortable, but if you’re staying in the summer, check the forecast and consider bringing a personal AC device. There are lots of windows, and almost no blinds or curtains - only in the enclosed bedrooms. The windows toward the lake give you that spectacular view, so I get not covering those, but the windows that face the road and the neighbors could really use some covering for privacy. It was a bit creepy, especially at night. There were a couple of minor cleanliness issues. Not sure how often the owner checks on the job the cleaning crew does, but my son found some dead bugs in his room, and one of the chairs was covered in dog hair from at least the previous guest, along with some dusty tables and dirt in a corner or two. An easy fix - just a needed discussion with the cleaners. Other guests have complained about the notes taped everywhere telling guests to take short showers, the photos of the cabinet contents taped in every cabinet. While we’ve rented stayed many lakehouses with VRBO and have never seen anyone do this before, it didn’t really bother us; we assume some previous guests must have stolen items or trashed the home in the past. The beach is private and lovely. My son enjoyed it, but unfortunately, I could not; instead of the stairs as the neighboring houses have, there was only a path with roots sticking up. It was steep in a places, so it was too treacherous for me to chance. If you are older or have any physical limitations, you likely can’t access the beach, so bear this in mind. Overall we really did enjoy our stay; it was a badly-needed peaceful getaway. I’m also sharing the few issues we had so that in the future the right people can be matched to this property and enjoy it even more!

Beautiful view

The view from the house is just beautiful and the house was very clean when we arrived. We found some of the instructions a little "put-offish" (do this, don't do that) and there were a lot of them. Future renters should also understand that this is a very rural area with very little in terms of restaurants, shops or even a good grocery store nearby.

Wonderful stay at the property. Great views of the water. House was very comfy and listing described it well. Very happy to be able to bring our dogs along. Owner was very responsive to the few questions I had (before and after check-in). We would stay again.

Great Views

Great views! Well designed vacation property! Pretty remote - perfect for a social distancing vacation. Cool and rainy a couple days but the open layout and huge windows over Huron made it easy to enjoy being inside. Even had fun 1000 piece puzzle we worked on all week. Not a lot of beach but enough to enjoy the lake and find loads of fossilized rocks!

Wonderful Lake house and Amazing View!

Great place on Lake Huron with an amazing view!! Well appointed house with lots of space and just about everything you could possibly need. Property owner was helpful and responsive and very easy to work with. Bit of a trek down to the water, but very doable (walking sticks if you need em) and worth it. Had fun with friends and family and my dog had a blast on the beach. Couldn’t ask for much more, except a likely return visit. :)

Beautiful home! Location is very quiet & secluded. View is gorgeous. Walked, sat, played on the sandy beach. Would stay again! Air conditioning in at least the bedrooms would be a wonderful bonus.

There is an open lot immediately to the south of the home. Neighbors beyond that are hidden by hedges. It is a great balance of privacy and community. The sloping path is very convenient to access the water. We love the beautiful sunrises, sipping coffee and watching the freighters go by.
