Casa Cavu está ubicada en la playa de arena blanca de Tankah Tres, a 80 millas al sur del aeropuerto de Cancún y a 10 minutos al norte de Tulum. Relájese alrededor de la piscina junto al océano y pase sus días "pasando el rato" alrededor de esta hermosa casa de playa. Dos restaurantes, una pequeña tienda de conveniencia y un cenote de agua dulce se encuentran a pocos pasos.



Diseño general: Casa Cavu es una casa de playa de dos niveles con tres dormitorios y plano de planta abierto. El nivel principal consiste en una sala de estar abierta con pantalla plana de TV vía satélite y DVD, y un comedor con barra de desayuno y cocina moderna totalmente equipada. Hay WiFi en toda la casa. Las puertas corredizas de vidrio resaltan la vista que da a la piscina junto a la playa y a la bahía de Tankah. Dos habitaciones se encuentran en el nivel principal y comparten un baño. La habitación king inferior con aire acondicionado disfruta de ventanas con vista al mar y tiene acceso a la playa a través de puertas correderas. El segundo dormitorio tiene una cama queen y una cama individual con aire acondicionado y vista al jardín.


La suite principal se encuentra en el nivel superior y está amueblada con cama king, baño privado y aire acondicionado.

We were a 3-generation family (ages 3.5, 67 and late 20-year-olds) visiting Tulum for the 1st time. We had an excellent experience. Casa Cavu was a choice location. We had plenty of space for all of us, excellent hosts and wonderful day trips to nearby Maya ruins, cenotes and the downtown area. We enjoyed the kitchen, grill and pool every day. We even broke through the sargassum with the kayaks to do some snorkeling. Looking forward to a 2nd trip to this wonder location.

The house and caretakers were excellent. However, the sargassum build up and associated smell was significant which effectively limited us to stay inside while on the premises.

Great stay! Wouldn’t have changed a thing. Privacy and seclusion. Outside of the city to avoid tons of people but close enough to come in enjoy and close to all the outside attractions! Jose who maintained the property was great, had fresh food for snacks and was out going in maintaining or pleasure during the stay!

Wonderful!

We stayed for 8 nights and had the best time! The pool was lovely and clean, the beach was very private feeling and we floated and snorkeled in the ocean everyday right there. Jose and Delfina were WONDERFUL! They made us homemade salsa (the best we have ever had!) and guacamole several times, cut us fresh coconuts to drink and eat and were there for anything we needed or to answer any questions we had. We set up massages at the house and several excursions through Akumal Direct and everything was flawless. Loved every minute here!

We had a wonderful stay at Casa Cavu!!

Our family stayed here in July of 2024. We really enjoyed our time in Casa Cavu! The family that cared for the property are wonderful! Carolina and Fernando are so nice and their son was such a cutie! They were always available and very helpful during our one week stay. Our boys saw pelicans, hermit crabs, ghost crabs, lizards and crabs, a sea urchin…while right on the property. They enjoyed that very much. I agree with other reviews take water shoes because it is a very rocky beach behind the house. We were able to snorkel and saw many fish and big shells. I would recommend renting a vehicle. We needed to get groceries right away the first day. We did rent a SUV for 4 days for the 6 of us. It was very easy and was delivered/picked up at the house. You definitely need a vehicle to get to Tulum.We went to Tulum daily while we had the vehicle…it’s probably less than 10 min to drive into town. It was very nice just drive to the cenotes and take your time and not be rushed like when you go on tours. We did have a lot of construction next door and it was loud but we made the best of our stay. We just played music while enjoying the pool. They did warn us when booking the trip that there would be construction going on. We had a chef come and cook us dinner out last night. It was delicious! We had a awesome trip! Many memories were made. Thank you Carolina, Fernando and Matias for taking care of us during our stay at this beautiful home! Familia Salinas

Lovely and accurate getaway

The house was exactly as described, and all of my questions prior to our stay were answered promptly. The managing company was attentive and helped us feel prepared for our stay, then were just as prompt to respond whenever we reached out during our stay. The caretakers on the property were sweet and kept the house and beach clean and fresh water and towels stocked. On a rainy day, they brought us fresh coconut and hot chocolate! The house was a great home base for us as we explored nearby akumal beach, cenotes, and tulum ruins, and we made great use of the pool. We ordered groceries to be delivered ahead of time, but there are plenty of great grocery store options on the way from cancun airport or a 10 min drive away in tulum. There are also great restaurant options a short walk away. The road from the highway to the house is very bumpy - not so bad that it kept us from leaving the house when we wanted, but we won’t miss it. Overall a quiet, safe home for our family trip to Mexico!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed our recent stay in Casa Cavu particularly because of the staff! I can't thank them enough. They made our stay easy, like a hotel. The staff kept the house clean, gave us recommendations for local spots. They went far and above general Airbnb cleaning service. The home was lovely, very spacious, next to a beautiful shoreline. The entire shoreline was full of saragossa (seaweed) though they try to clean it every day. It is just too much to keep up; some other areas in the coast are worse. Though we didn't swim in this beach area we did enjoy the view and relaxing on the sand (soft sand). There are a few sea turtle nests on the property and hope a guest will be lucky to see them hatch in fall. We had plenty of lines, beach towels, etc. The area is guarded by security and very quiet. There is a hotel next door that makes great cocktails and delicious food. Note on the Construction: The crew was there on some days of our trip. The construction did not bother us though we were also out touring in the day time and it may bother some people. We would stay again with the construction and all.

Casa Cavu is wonderful!

It is a wonderful property. We loved the view and being able to walk to a few restaurants. The location is perfect. It’s a quiet area with a Cenote within walking distance. It’s convenient to Akumal and Tulúm. There is construction next door, but it wasn’t disruptive. The groundskeeper and housekeeper were attentive. A place on the beach was cleared daily. Some of the furniture needs an upgrade. The living room sofa was difficult to sit on. Cushions were uncomfortable and didn’t stay put. It could be a problem for people with limited mobility. More/nicer outdoor furniture could really put this house at the next level. We would rent this house again.

Paradise found!

We had such an amazing time at casa cavu. We spent most of our time relaxing on the beach, in the pool or on the nearby piers with hammocks. There are TONS of amazing sea shells and coral washed up on shore, if you love looking for shells, this will be perfect. The house was spotless, and the location feels secluded and private. The conditions for snorkeling were terrible because of the weather, so we didn’t get to do that, but if the weather was nicer, it would be a snorkeling paradise, the reef is right off the shore! We highly recommend letting isario (the caretaker) cook for you. He is an amazing chef. Him and his wife will give you a full service dining right in the house. Don’t miss out on his cooking! Our favorite was his tortilla soup, grilled fish and shrimp. Roccoio(?) the other caretaker kept the house SPOTLESS. She even mopped the floors every day. They take amazing care of the property. They even pick up the seaweed every morning. The dog, Lukey, was absolutely adorable and very well behaved. We really enjoyed having the dog around and he really completed our stay. He is just precious!

Wonderfully beautiful waterfront near Talum and Akumal

Casa Cavu is a beautiful house and made our stay perfect. Pool and beach were picture perfect and soooo relaxing. Kitchen was large and dining room beautiful which allowed us to have wonderful diners (wonderful grocery store in nearby Talum). The beds were wonderfully made by senora Rocio and she clean the house every day just like at a 5 star hotel :-) Isidro and Rocio were just excellent and made our stay extremely pleasant. Talum and Akumal were just 15 minutes. The Kayaks, Snorkeling, and a local Cenote just down the street added to the fun. Can't wait to return to Talum & Akumal and would definitely stay at Casa Cavu again!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: If you're looking for a quieter vacation experience this is perfect. Very nice Bay with great snorkeling right in front of the house. The water access is Rocky but if you have your fins on it's not a problem. Very few people on the beach so it feels like you have the whole place to yourself. There are approximately five local restaurants in nearby boutique hotels you can walk to and a cenote. The home was very clean and The master bed was comfortable. Unfortunately the couches really are not. But you don't spend much time in the house anyway. My only complaint would be the lack of hot water. In order to take a shower you need to turn the hot water only on and it's lukewarm at best. Overall a great vacation property with excellent on-site managers. Felt safe and well taken care of the entire time. Also it's an easy 10-minute drive into Tulum if you're looking to visit a busier area.

Beautiful Property - Perfect Vacation Rental

I cannot say enough good things about this property and the caretakers, Isidro and Rocio. The property is located in a quiet area of Tulum right on Tankah Bay. Beautiful snorkeling right outside the property. Our family loved the property so much, that our favorite days of our vacation were simply staying back and enjoying the ocean and pool. Isidro cleaned the seaweed and raked the beach every morning. During our stay, the seaweed was a non-issue. Very small amount. Rocio cleaned the house every day. They were both diligent and it was so appreciated. The pool and home were pristine. The home had everything we needed including filtered water, oil, spices, etc. Everything was truly perfect for our family. We hope to be back again!

Lovely, but isolated

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed here as a "vacation in place" during COVID. The house is beautiful and the pool is great! The views are lovely from every angle. Make sure you bring or buy beach shoes. We also brought our own snorkel gear, which we believe is a must. There are reviews that accurately state that the beach is really rocky (it is on a reef after all), but not ideal for smaller ones. I will state that the internet in the area is very uncertain, not because of the property, but because of the providers. You must also have a car to stay here because the area is without many amenities. If you are looking to disconnect and appreciate a beach getaway, this is a beautiful home. If you like/need your creature comforts and technology, you may find this location lacking and frustrating. We had work and school, so it was not ideal for our family. We understand that Tankah Bay is not good for internet and there is a lot of seaweed that comes into the bay. Everyone was kind and considerate. We are the type of family that like places to congregate, appreciate the ability to getaway to our space and watch a program, and comfy beds. This is not that kind of home. This is a beautiful and simple home that has few amenities beyond the beauty of location.
